What they are insisting is Japan occupied Dokdo for strategic purposes in the year of 1905 when Japan colonized Korea. Yeah, it's kinda sad history of us. However, Japan was defeated in World War 2 and it led Japan officially end its occupation of Korea under the Treaty of San Francisco. And it really piss us off, when they try to take over our territory again. They had killed uncountable number of Korean people during the colonial period and also they forced our upper generations to death by labors, bodies for their troops. and even for comfort women. 2. There is no evidence that Korea has long recognized Dokdo.

After Japan’s defeat in WW2 the South Koreans unilaterally took the island, placed armed guards on the island, claimed there isn’t a dispute when there clearly is a dispute, now the South Koreans keep refusing to go to the International Court of Justice. The South Koreans are illegally occupying Takeshima.
In the San Francisco Peace Treaty of 1951, Takeshima wasn’t included in territories to be renounced by Japan. South Korea wrote a formal letter of protest asking for the territory to be renounced by Japan but the United States denied this request.
This was what the United States government wrote in the document: “As regards to the island of Dokdo, otherwise known as Takeshima or Liancourt Rocks, this normally uninhabited rock formation was according to our information never treated as part of Korea and, since about 1905, has been under the jurisdiction of the Oki Islands Branch Office of Shimane Prefecture of Japan. They call the island as 'Takeshima'.
We've got a lot of evidence to prove Dokdo belongs to Korea.
Geologically, Dokdo island is much closer to Korea; 87km from Korea and 157km from Japan.
And also the historical documentations about the island show us why it belongs to Korea.
The history of Dokdo can be found from sixth century Silla Dynasty (one of Korean ancient kingdoms) all the way up to 1900. Even Japan has these historical records which were written in 1877 and in 1946, but keeps the hidden.
What they are insisting is Japan occupied Dokdo for strategic purposes in the year of 1905 when Japan colonized Korea. Yeah, it's kinda sad history of us. However, Japan was defeated in World War 2 and it led Japan officially end its occupation of Korea under the Treaty of San Francisco.
And it really piss us off, when they try to take over our territory again.
They had killed uncountable number of Korean people during the colonial period and also they forced our upper generations to death by labors, bodies for their troops. and even for comfort women.
We just want Japanese government admit the truth and truly reflects what they had done.
