Another video from Trucker Dan, it's a good night now... Thank you for always giving us something to entertain us for a few minutes... Safe Travels Sir.
Dan. I'm in Dallas suburbs right now. Sitting at home with fireplace going. Waiting til Friday defore getting out.enjoyed your drive thru Louisiana to Memphis. Just seeing your cautious driving brought back memories of my days in ice / snow. Loved the splitter going thru the gears. Be safe Friend.
8:30 Like a pro, I noticed you taking it very cautious over those wet overpasses in Memphis. I see so many people hitting the wall(Jersey barriers) on icy bridges. Especially the ones that curve. You had that look of "Come hell or high water, I'm making it to Arkansas"! Well done Dan, be safe.
As a Canadian trying to stay warm in TX. I can say If I was still trucking and had to travel in and out or places like Larado and on the interstates .... I would hang up my keys! Give me the praires, the north and the mountains! It's unreal the speed and the congestion. Tip of the hat to you! Drive well, stay safe.
As a Canadian here, I drove from Toronto to Winnipeg, in hearst was it -33 celcius. Then to Saskatoon, loaded in prince Albert Saskatchewan, then loaded in yorkton Saskatchewan and drove to Leduc and calgary. It was just windy and cold. Not many snow. Coquihalla was shut down I heard, lots of accidents happened there again.
Great to see a map of your journey. As a British person who has lived in the US I’ve got an idea of where you are in relation to the biggest cities but it’s good to see the detail and the huge mileage you take to avoid the weather. Keep it coming!
Hey Dan !! Always better to be a day late & NOT there at all !!! Gona to be a ""COLD "" weekend for sure so button up !! Keep the ""GENNY"" running !!!🤔🙄👀👀👍👍👍👍👍
I have a friend who worked for the Ministry of Transportation and she told me the most dangerous time on the highway is when the air temperature is the same temperature as the road when the temperatures are around the freezing point.
Well Dan you done the right thing. I’m an owner operator. My wife and I were in austin Sunday. It was a mess we had a half inch of ice on are pickup Wednesday morning. We were on vacation. There was 125,000 people without power. Took me two hours to get doors open in truck. We left there at noon. Headed to Beaumont Texas. We got out of ice 60 miles from Houston. We are now heading to Florida. Had enough of Texas ice. Meeting are kids in Melbourne fla. Take care.
I think that was Port Arthur Tx not Louisiana 😊 I hit some of that mess Tuesday afternoon on 55, bypassed Memphis thru Dyersburg down to Jackson Tn on down to Birmingham. Safe travels Dan.
Safe Travels. Give Miss Bailey a hug, smooches, & scratches behind both ears. Do as she says, she who must be obeyed. I hate high bridges, avoid them whenever possible.
Dan, when in Paducah or Ky lake area, Exit 16 on I24 has a small truck stop on the south side of the Interstate, always has parking and a small restaurant as well. I live 1/4 mile away, and have parked my truck there at all times of the day and night. Good luck out there and be well
Hi Dan,Short and to the point , winter driving sucks. I won’t tell you why , you already know why. Have a safe trip Dan. Six more weeks according to a rodent in Pennsylvania!
Glad to see you up & going. We were a little concerned about that ice storm, since it seem to be a belt of ice from central Texas to the Atlantic coast. It looks like it is starting warm up a little here in the Benson area. Low 70s on Sunday. You & little Miss Bailey stay safe.
Boy, that exhaust note is perfect. I wish my wife would let me put those mufflers on my truck. But noooooooo... "You're too old to be doing that". Hmph!
Safe driving. Thank you for showing care and attention. Icy slippery roads are not fun for anyone. You are the professional and it is good to see your concern for starting to slide. . . . I have a personal 5th wheel. I planned a trip to pick it up new from a dealer when the weather looked good. It was February 2009. It involved a number of passes including the Roger's Pass on Canada's Hwy. #1. We drove in a reasonable fashion. Clues are given when you see vehicles in the ditch. The worst part was just west of Calgary. It was down to one lane in the dark. The left lane was deeper snow and slush. We just took our place in the queue. The roads in Calgary were icy as well. It felt good to be home. We get a lot of truckers trying to complete their trips no matter what. It is sad to see inexperienced truckers "motor on" until they experience a slide and even cause fatalities. Those safety cable barriers are no match for an 18 wheeler. Take care.
I enjoyed this very much..I lived in Memphis for a couple of years in the 70s..The only thing I recognized as you went through was going over the bridge to West Memphis..
It's not fun driving in the wet weather but glad you didn't get into that protest mess, great video keep up the good work God bless from GA stay safe and have a safe trip
Morning Dan. I've been the route thru Memphis and hundred of times as a trucker and go back to Iowa . Drivers carry m in Memphis are special. Even in icy weather and snow the driver wayyyyy. I think the better word is reckless
What’s the point of having the ABS light at the back like that Dan, all our trailers in the UK have it at the front where the driver can see it in their mirror 🤷♂️
I have a cousin in Paducah that was telling me they had 4 inches of ice. Not good to travel in that kind of weather. Like you said it’s that other guy on the road. Be safe
The bridge on highway 73 in port arthur tx is the rainbow bridge, the tallest bridge in tx. I was on the other side on that bridge during hurricane harvey while hauling butane. There was a tornado somewhere close at the time i was on it, very nervous time in 2017. I enjoy your RUclips videos. I’m from tx but now live in North Carolina.
Coming into Victoria, TX, on 59, I live about a mile from where you turn to go toward Houston. I was wondering if you headed back up into that mess in the Metroplex, glad you missed it. Ken
when going thru Kansas City, traveling north during a snow storm, if you watch the snow fall its always seems worse south of I-35, north of it, not so bad. the company i drove for at the time had a base north of KC so i always stopped there to ride out the storm
It has been absolutely full stop in Dallas Fort Worth since Tuesday DFW airport and Love field have been shut down things are starting to move today Thursday
Hi Dan...just a question about your Corvette! Do you have anti sway in this truck being a 2001? Always enjoy your video... appreciate your calmness...!
The two bridges you show in your video are in Port Arthur Tx not Louisiana and the bridge on the left (known as the rainbow bridge)has a large history behind it look it up
That was me. I loaded in Ft Worth and it was the worst day of driving I’ve done in 23 yrs. It was insane.. bring from Ohio I didn’t think it was that bad just ‘winter’ but they were paralyzed by it..
I have a nephew that is going to Memphis and I told him to go south like you and he didn't,so now he's stuck in Texas. Kids! Do you listen to music while driving? And if you do,what do you listen to?
Is buildup of snow or ice a concern during these winter blasts? I haven’t noticed any sweeps for trucks on trailers. I’d imagine blocks of ice or snow flying off is concerns everyone on the road. Maybe that’s already in place at truck stops and I haven’t seen it on your channel.
Can I give you a hair comb? How does Bayley handle the snow/ice/wet cold paws? Do you clean her feet when y'all get back in truck? My guys and galls hate cold wet paws.
Be safe, when you pass mt pleasant you pass my uncle and aunts dairy farm. From there they sell hay so if interested you can load up there and take it home. Big ice storm indeed. My uncle has to pickup feed and haul milk himself because he's the only honey with tire chains.
Another video from Trucker Dan, it's a good night now... Thank you for always giving us something to entertain us for a few minutes... Safe Travels Sir.
HELLO DAN MAN HOLY COLD !! BE CAREFUL OUT THERE ! BE BLESSED ! COOL VIDEO ! 🐾🐾🐾❤️🐾🐾🐾
Great to see you’re route on a map; I’m in the UK and that really helps build a picture of where you go. 👍
Ice Storm was BAD down in Texas with a 1/2 Million without Power. Missouri had Minor Ice Issues but Not many Power related Issues this past Monday. 👍🙏
Hey Dan thanks I can't believe Memphis is rebuilding that interchange, been there done that during my trucking days. Stay Safe
memphis was a two hour drive in 1955. that same drive takes at least that long now.
Dan looks like lots of slip and slide out there, stay safe out there.
The weather creates bad driving situations, but the ice on the trees sure looks awesome. I love your videos when you show lots of driving.
One of the most intelligent drivers our there
Stay warm and safe brother from the imperial county California 👍👍🖐️🇺🇲
Hey I used to live in the Valley, over near Brawley. Moved outta there in 2019... best decision I ever made lol. Anyways, take care man.

You're in my back yard. I'm on Kentucky Lake we had Just a little ice nothing to worry about.
As a Canadian trying to stay warm in TX.

Hey Dan !! Always better to be a day late & NOT there at all !!! Gona to be a ""COLD "" weekend for sure so button up !! Keep the ""GENNY"" running !!!🤔🙄👀👀👍👍👍👍👍
Slow and steady wins the race......drive by what the seat of your pants and the truck tells you and be safe my fiend!
Holy Cow! SuperTruckerDan answered my question about the ABS light. Thanks Dan.
You missed a good ice storm. not a wimpy one, but a full 1/4 -1/2 inch of ice everywhere. Stay safe out there.
Please stay safe! Prayers are always with you 🙏 Hello from Missouri.
Dan Pete sounds nice 👌 safe travels

I have a friend who worked for the Ministry of Transportation and she told me the most dangerous time on the highway is when the air temperature is the same temperature as the road when the temperatures are around the freezing point.

Construction and ice, that’s more fun than I can handle
I got caught up in that storm. The wrecks were crazy
Road construction and bad weather make for a bad driving day. Stay safe Dan.
I think that was Port Arthur Tx not Louisiana 😊 I hit some of that mess Tuesday afternoon on 55, bypassed Memphis thru Dyersburg down to Jackson Tn on down to Birmingham. Safe travels Dan.

Dan that is Port Arthur Texas. Not Louisiana. Have a good one.
Port Arthur Texas is where u where I'm from the next town I know that bridge. Orange Texas born and raised. Wow nice seeing this, been gone for years.

I never worry about my driving on slippery roads. It is the other drivers that concern me.
So true. I drove on black ice from Edmonton to Calgary Alberta. 60 kmh and keeping distance and made it safely.
I enjoyed this very much..I lived in Memphis for a couple of years in the 70s..The only thing I recognized as you went through was going over the bridge to West Memphis..

Those walls on that bridge at the beginning look very low!
I am living out the ice storm in NE DFW. Schools were closed for at least 3 days with some closing for more days.
Srat safe Dan.

Every ďay .love y
What GPS and weather apps do you use to navigate?
Curious of the wheel base of that truck? I drive a 270” with a small sleeper and can haul 13’ over the front of a 48’ spread axle.
I thought that I was gonna dodge it but ended up right dab in the middle of it in Indiana
I noticed some pucker factor in your video. The silence was deafening!
Can I give you a hair comb? How does Bayley handle the snow/ice/wet cold paws? Do you clean her feet when y'all get back in truck? My guys and galls hate cold wet paws.

Hay-tie missouri

Bad hair day Dan???
I wish I had as much hair as you we are very close in age.
I was number 3 today!!
No fun to drive on slick roads. Always people that are driving way too fast.
How well do I know this route. Narrow lane on 55 before you cross the Arkansas Bridge. Memphis drivers....scarey.
