Can-Am started in Canada building Bombardier Snowmobiles, then they started building all-terrain motorcycles (trail bikes) which did very well. Then they morphed into building all-terrain vehicles which are also doing well.
Changed probably 1,000s of fuel filters on my trucks. Hand tight buddy! Little oil off the dipstick on the filter rubber. Tighten as hard as you can by hand then back it of a hair. Start the truck no leaks good to go... You probably destroy the old filter trying to get it off tightening in with a wrench as tight as you did??? Having tightened it by hand you most likely will need a wrench to remove it. They some how self tighten. Why the oil on the rubber it also helps to seal the filter. But I like you truck and your show. I'm in a senior home. But lived my life out on the big road. Now I watch guys like you on RUclips and wish I could still be a owner operator. But I'm almost ready for the bone yard.. Hope I didn't piss you off with my advice. I'm sure you know what I mean?
Dan Dan the professional flat deck man. Dan your videos never show your having a bad day week or month. Your what real trucking is all about. A lot of wannabes out there. I am sorry to hear is a bit of a tuff go out there. Guys like you work so hard and get home every once in awhile. You are at work 24 hours a day for up to 60 days or even more. I take my hat off to ya Dan. You could sit and eat at my table any day. You have a great and a safe day, happy trails and happy motoring.
Happy new year Dan. All the best to you and your family. Its nice to see another video again! You are an inspiration! Wishing you a healthy and prosperous new year. Mabe you can make it to the yard and get them handles. Lol.
My Dad was a trucker for a number of years. I am not but enjoy your videos, your positive outlook, and the professional way you represent the profession. Please keep it up! Things will get better.
Great going Dan! It's always a hassle to do maintainance stuff, but it sure feels great when you've done'em. I appreciate all the videos you put out! Have fun with Bailey. Happy New Year! Drive safe. Greetings from Norway
I remember 40yrs ago it felt like I spent more time underneath the damn truck than in it. But that’s the way it was. I couldn’t afford going into a repair garage for anything. I was grateful old Grandad had a farm back then.
I will suggest you getting 1 of those accordion fill hoses you get with the DEF boxes, it will fit perfectly on that bottle you use and you can fill the filter while it's behind the chassis!
Super trucker Dan haven’t heard from you. I hope everything’s OK. Haven’t seen any of your videos lately. I hope you and Bailey are OK and your wife Tresa just to check make sure y’all are OK.
We are back in Canada after spending time with our daughter and her family in Oklahoma. I thought of you after spending time on the interstate and toll highways. Every time a semi was seen, yes I thought of your great work. Family time is so important and and it is great that you spent time with Teresa over the holidays. We appreciate your videos. Thank you. HNY 😊
Happy New Year Dan,glad to see you had some nice home time with the family, nice to see how you take care of your equipment,be safe out there,..HI,BAILEY!!
Happy New Year Dan!! So glad you got some home time with Teresa. You are so talented when being able to do maintenance things on your truck. Not all people can be able to do that. Hope 2023 is a more prosperous year for you.
Hey Dan !!! Glad you got some home time with Teresa !! Always something to fix or maintain for sure !!! Bailey is a trip to watch !! HAHA 🙃😊 Hope 2023 is a good year for you ?? 🤔🤔🤔👍👍👍👍👍
I go up under the frame rail with my hand under the filter and the filter perpendicular to the ground, I lift up and grab the top of the filter with my other hand then lift the rest of the way and screw it on. I never spill a drop.
HAPPY New YEAR DAN an to your WIFE , Very nice home you have Looking good , truck and trailer looking good , always something to do , To stop the diesel spilling out of your filters , What I done , I carry a gallon jug with a small rubber hose on it , I would start the filter about a turn and then I put the rubber hose in the filter and fill it up while it was on the truck , and then tighten it up , little bailey getting fat 😂 be safe take care yourselves DAN
I can't remember it's been over 15 years since I lived in US, in UK pumps are heavily filtered 3 large one,to each pump, are the pumps filtered in US, because filters should last ages on trucks
Thanks Dan, Good to hear you got some down with your wife Teresa. Hope things get better in 2023, but If I were you the challenges ahead, you might want to get more aggressive in your load findings out there and let Katie know your game plan for this year. I hear where I work the honeymoon is over and the wedding cake is getting flattened...if you more experienced folks know what I mean....so expect to hear the markets belt tightening again!
Awesome video Dan!!! I definitely hope that you and your family had an amazing Christmas and a happy new year’s!!! I see that your truck is looking like my intire truck looks like!!! Covered in dog hair!!! I can tell you that all the dog hair used to both me so bad but just found out that I couldn’t stop all of it coming off of my dog!!! Lol!! But I love my dog and she goes everywhere I go and I mean everywhere!!! The only thing that slows all the dog hair from getting on everything is if I was to brush her out twice a day and well that just isn’t going to happen!!! Lol!! So I’ve kinda just been putting up with it!!! Heck it’s even hard getting a bite to eat because somehow I will always find a hair on my food and I definitely don’t like that!!! Well buddy remember keep up all the hard work buddy!!! Happy new year’s and I hope that you have a wonderful 2023 year!!!! See ya on the next one!!!!
Sorry Dan, I need to make an edit. I go under the spring and then grab in between the spring and the bottom of the frame then with the other hand grab it on the top side of the frame.
I live in Paducah, KY. I know where the Can-Am Dealer is, and maybe I will to meet you. I would really like to meet you and your Yorkie on Tuesday. I will be in a Black Toyota Highlander.
A Cat mechanic told me years ago, when changing a fuel filter fill the new filter with ATF.....How did you jack up the truck in order to rotate the steers?.......
Your pooch seemed to know that gate was a good sign! Welcome home.
Totally Agree! 👍

When u dropped that filter I felt it in my bones. I was cussing for you. Man those filters are frustrating
I remember 40yrs ago it felt like I spent more time underneath the damn truck than in it. But that’s the way it was. I couldn’t afford going into a repair garage for anything. I was grateful old Grandad had a farm back then.
