Beautiful! Picked one up used from marketplace and the clutch was dead and break only worked half way... A vacuum, hot glue, and WD-40 and it's running great with full response from the clutch now. Next it's the loose steering wheel but I'm able to drive properly now!
@@floorit27 I didn't feel like buying a hot glue gun. all i did was put a paper towel between the potentiometer and the plastic casing, so that it would prevent movement. this fixed the issue.
Thanks for this great video man, I was about to tore my savings by buying a logitech wheel due to issues on my pxn v9 pedals. the gas pedal is in 30% and the clutch at 60% all the time. Hope I can fix it with this procedure
An issue my accelerator had is the potentiometer wasn't installed correctly to begin with, so I'd only be getting 85-90% at best. I did some fiddling with the angle it was sitting at and now it works just fine.
i checked my gas pedal and nothing was moving that shouldnt be moving. i cleaned it and calibrated it but this flickering problem is still there. pls help i dont know what to do.😮💨😕
Backstory, I know very little of sim racing set ups and bought this wheel about 3 months ago. Everything works fine after fixing this problem, but like you said in some other comments, it's probably bound to happen again. Before that happens, I was gonna look into buying one of the better pedal sets, something like the clubsport or something similar. My question is, if I find pedals that use the same output as the PXN-v9 pedals, would I be able to theoretically plug them in and play keeping the original V9 Wheel + Shifter? Ofc app compatibility afterwards may be questionable maybe. I would like to know for sure before I spend 300 on a pedal set I can't use yet, and I can't find anything on the internet about it.
On PC I would imagine if you had pedals that connected as a separate device, it's likely they will work in a way, just like your controller and mouse and keyboard all work at the same time. I can't remember who, but one of my followers was going to make their own pedals. I've never heard how it turned out. As for what plugs into the controller as a direct replacement, as long as it sends the same data the original potentiometers send(or have the same potentiometer), it should work. You could use the original wire to make a pigtail for the connection to the controller. It would most likely have to be homemade if connecting directly to the controller. The software for the controller limits that. Best case scenario is the game you want to play allows the simultaneous input of new pedals and the og shifter and at the same time. If the fix doesn't work for you, I think the product might just not be up to par with your expectations. I haven't tested many other products, so I don't have other recommendations.
my pedals aren't giving me full range of motion (it's with the throttle), I can wiggle the pedal around to try and find full motion, but it's not ideal when racing and I just end up losing positions. could you possibly tell me what I could do? any and all would be much appreciated👍 Also, I am playing on playstation.
Thanks for the video . I bought one of these just a month or two ago and used it less then 10 times for ETS 2, never used it roughly and put it aside until yesterday when I plugged it in I noticed that my acceleration was less and less going to a dead stop, then it started working again ,then same thing happened. I was struggling to go at 10 km/h with pedal to the floor. The brake is fine and I haven't used the clutch or gear shifter so far since I bought it. I'm hoping this video solves the problem but pissed that there is a problem in the first place especially since its hardly ever been used. And I don't think mine is a dirt issue as after its used I put it aside and cover it with a cloth to protect it from dust. Any ideas what the problem could be? ......ok Its the next day now I opened it up and did as you did in the video and it seems fine now. I added a little glue to the top sides of the little circuit to hold it down better .Just gave it a test run on an ETS 2 delivery run and everything is ok. Thumbs up to you pal.
Clutch pedal went out. Turns out the Clutch chip cant disengage and stays around 60 - 69% engaged when not touched. However it works fine when being pushed. Just wont disengage. i think the chip is the problem
Take it out and spin it outside of the pedal and see what you get. I am talking to them now about getting new pedals because A. I want to see if they send me something half decent and B I'll have extra parts. The potentiometer's are cheap from what I hear but that should also mean cheap replacement... They are accessible enough. But I'm almost at the point of taking this whole video back and saying talk to the manufacturer, as its almost a luck of the draw thing with this type of design.
I have a question about the PX V9 because I bought it and a couple months later everything works but my pedals and shifter are not responding in game but when I test it in the app they work how do I fix this?
copied from other video: thanks, mine also works better after just blowing it myself using my mouth lol, but apparently my potentiometer at the acceletor/throttle paddle is loose so I just lay in a plastic wrap (MAMEE wrapper lol) in between and voila it works fine, but unscrewing all those screws are annoying af tho, in other words try inserting a plastic wrapper folded to give more thickness and tension on the potentiometer board, mine works like a charm after. be careful not to damage the circuit especialy the tiny resistor tho.
all of my pedals are jacked up and Ive had no issues since I got it for christmas. My brake is the only one that slightly works. Anything I can do to fix them?
This sounds like a wire issue! the main wire. Did they all get wack at once? Or kinda over time? The less likely answer if the issue didnt occur all at once is its dirty af, take it apart and get an "elecronic cleaner" spray and paper towels and go to town cleaning. Many people have issues because there are large gaps for dirt to get in. If they all went bad around the same time: Check the main cable coming out of the unit by taking it apart like in this video. Check it for obvious damage where it comes out. You likely won't see any though but you could see a kink in the wire. I would (not saying you techincally should) but I would then cut the wire an inch away from where it comes out of the sytem both on the inside and the outside cutting away any part of the wire that may have been bent too hard. Splice/solder the wires back with their respective pairs, tie a knot in the cable, and leave the knot inside the divice, as to prevent to cable from being pulled out of the unit.
@@floorit27 over time. Me and my dad looked at in insides and took each potentiometer out and tested them without the pedal. The clutched died there but the others were the same. We put everything back together and I recalibrated them and they were fixed. Idk what it was but they are fixed now

I’m was having an issue that this video fixed so thank for that but I’ve been having this other issue where the pedal doesn’t start responding until it’s pushed down a little far so if you have a solution for that that would be amazing
Hey when I go into calibration and press the pedals I get no response at all only getting response from the steering wheel any idea what can be going on also my pedals are only break and gas
Switch the steering wheel mode. It starts at an Xbox controller mode. Once you switch it, it will be the PC input version. Hopefully I understoof the issue correctly.
Hey man what's up every time I glue the thing it works and it gets better and it fixes itself but after some use after like 15 minutes 20 minutes it goes back to fluctuating so did that happen to you?
I did this and it helped A LOT but whenever I press the gas in game it breaks and when I press the brake it still brakes and the clutch works perfect any way I can fix it?
It's probably only happening in certain cars because of the different transmissions+traction control. You should follow the video to take it apart and see if you can clean it first
I have the same steering wheel and a few days ago it stopped working because when I plug it into the computer (pc) in the application to connect it, it takes it as a play station, something that did not happen a few days ago, how can I solve it, does anyone know anything?
Hello. I know that it worked for some people, but my acceleration pedal became worse. I could throttle up to 100%, but going there from 0% became more rough. Are there possible things I may have done wrong?
If you're sure the potentiometers are not moving, then the next step would be the calibration. It sounds like now that you have reseated it, the potentiometer has a new position. Calibration will set what position is 0 and what is max. Let me know if that works!
I'm having troubles with connectability let's just say I'm playing BeamNG drive it will not boot up saying device not recognize and shut down the wheel
Wire issue is the first suspect. Do you have a different system you can test this on? If you do it can help determine if the wires are good or bad and go from there. As it could be a PC power save issue or USB issue. The software conflict would be resolved in Windows Device Manager. Try updating the drivers
Almost every game requires the secondary set of controls the controller comes with. The first input is like a legacy xbox input. If you hold the mode button I believe it is, for 3 seconds or so, it switches.
You do need to make sure the controller is in the right mode. There's a little quick start guide it comes with that details switching it so it has the proper inputs.
(my best tip at the end, got carried away typing) That sucks. This is really kinda cheap but the next steps up are far more money. Good for the money... On the bright side, if you're within a year you may be able to replace it! Contact them! On the other bright side, there are really cool ways to mend plastic. One of them is heating up metal rods like paperclips in the shape of stiches and meltng them into the plastic. This requires probably a bit of practice. I would get JB Weld quick set Epoxy. They have a 5 minute 2 part epoxy that hardens very well. Start with tiny bits and have the peices held together well and let them sit for hours. Then add a little more glue, slowly painting more and more on to add layers. Stuff dries harder than the plastic they use!
Completely? If you are in warranty, see if you can get a replacement. I would personally look into getting a replacement potentiometer. You can test the potentiometer itself by removing it from the pedal and spinning it in your hand while watching the display from the link in the video description.
