    That's what I needed to see!!! Love the camera angles. Bet the people driving across the bridge could hear a plane but were wondering where on earth it was. 😃😃Thanks for posting you don't know how much it inspires.

    Love the innovation you have created , absolutely hats off to you ..got a glimpse of you on the Swan the other day and said to myself WTF ? … I know nothing about flying but I do know my boats , just putting it out there , I notice with take off and landing it’s a bit rattled the hull from the sea state ,have you considered a type of snapper nose shape on the centre line of the hull to reduce the rattling on the planing hull while on take off and landing . Just a thought .

      Thanks mate I appreciate it.
      Overall I'm happy with the design but yes things can be done to improve the ride on the water. For my next build something like what you are saying would be a great idea

    Just wonder,hove do you keep it stabile since you have no ailerons like Ordinary aircraft?

      Thanks mate. I use the secondary effect of yaw which is roll. So only rudder control

      there is enuf info from james in all the comments /answers to build without plans i went with stitch and glue .. much faster and ezer bluiding .. its far better to put frames onto ply than to put ply to frames .. the frames are never correct

    Any chance you could make it sound like the backing music? The people of Perth would really appreciate it as it completely shatters the peace of the beautiful Swan River.

      I fly roughly 2 hours each month, I don't hang around in one location and I change my launch site often. The last time I flew in the river was over 7 months ago. The river is there to share. You need to learn some tolerance in life.

    Very cool. You should get an exception to the 8knots rule as you dont create wake.
    What sort of range would you get? Could you do say ocean reef marina to lancelin and back? Only a 1 hour trip at your 90kmhr.

    • @Ground-Effect
      @Ground-Effect  6 месяцев назад

      I could get there and back if I carried extra fuel. The issue is if the engine stopped I'm stuck in the middle of nowhere

    It visually appears very stable in ground effect, but how much of this is down to the effort and skill you're putting into flying it compared to the inherent design properties?

    • @Ground-Effect
      @Ground-Effect  6 месяцев назад +2

      Thanks. Yes it is very stable. It requires a constant slight back pressure constantly so will not fly hands off but that is by design. Due to the close proximity to the ground, ever changing weather conditions and changing sea state a lot of correction inputs are required to keep it operating safely

      so, do you use speed to set the average skimming height? Higher speed with higher waves?

    • @Ground-Effect
      @Ground-Effect  6 месяцев назад +1

      @@lucdekeyser I control the height with elevator just like an aircraft.
