Joe Billage: Wut? Disappointed in paying $10 for a fast food burger? Yeah, generally that's a disappointment. That has nothing to do with the fine dining I do or do not attend :).
Jeffrey Osborn what I’m saying is $10 is not that bad.. if you eat it in healthy moderation like once a week MAX. $10 is totally reasonable for a large burger with everything on it and fries. Chipotle costs around $8-10 as well..
Joe Billage: I think you're missing the point, it's a fast food burger. Yeah, I do pay $15 or so at restaurants for burgers, at a steak house I'd expect to pay more for a burger and for a steak I'd easily expect to be in the $30 - $40 range. Granted, that's not top notch New York City but it's moderate. But again, this is a fast food burger. I also think Chipotle is generally overpriced and I haven't been to one in about five years.
Jeffrey, how much do you think it should cost then since you know so much? I know exactly what I'm going to get when I go there, BUT if I want to spend less I know I can always go to Burger King, but it won't even be that much cheaper if you get the meal with fries & a drink. Also, you don't have to spend $10. You can get just the burger which I know will be a good high quality burger. You also can always go to the grocery store and buy your own 80/20 ground beef and make your own burger if you're going to bitch so much about price.
D K but 1 meal at 5 guys is enough to last a whole day between the burger and fries. A large fry at 5 guys is about as filling as like 3 large fries at mcdonalds. and their burgers have 2 patties so that alone can ve split between lunch and dinner
They're good BUT in the U.K. they're WAY WAY too expensive. You can eat at a sit down place and have steaks for 2 the same price as a couple of burgers n fries. Not worth it.
Best burgers & fries ANYWHERE!!! However they are too expensive. I ALWAYS save my bag & fill it up with peanuts to try to offset the cost.😂 Also, if two people are eating you can save a little by sharing a regular sized order of fries. They're huge!
Just order fries with a single order. Seems like they fill the sleeve, place it in the bottom of the bag, and bury it under more fries. The other person can get a burger and a drink.
@@Teeclutch facts peanuts are onky in the lobby and they fryer. Youd be good to get a burger. People that have gluten allergy get the lettuce wrap or it in a bowl
Anyone with a sever allergy to peanuts should never go near 5-Guys. The peanut shells are all over the floor as you go in and even the entryway and ground outside is covered in peanut oil from being tracked out on customers shoes.
The grill where we make burgers and dogs are free of any peanut oil and the peanut bags are far away from the kitchen but I understand if anyone doesn’t want to risk it. It’s fine
@Peter Similac"Twat waffle"? Wow. That's a very intelligent comment. I guess you take things very personally when it comes to restaurants. Very mature of you. Have you considered seeing a therapist about your simmering anger towards people who have differing opinions from you? Poor thing.
Unless you go to McDonalds or other Fast-Food chains, 10 Euros is a valid price. Good Beef Meat prices are increasing and if proper vegetables are used anything under 10 Euros would push the Restaurant out of business. Sure, 10€ for a McDonalds Burger is way too much, but for a good one, 10€ is a bargain.
@@sugar5374 well it depends on what kind of place yes McDonald's can not get away with charging that much but if Five Guys is better quality which idk if it is as I never went there
yeah but that is also a problem with tiny european portion sizes - they are just not used to giving/getting decent-sized portions for anything - people in america apparently complain about the portion sizes being too large, lol - but if you can't handle it you can always take the leftovers to go and have another meal at home so I don't see what people are complaining about
You might want to have another look at the pricing at McDonalds. It's been going up steadily in the past six months. I get to Five Guys as often as I can, but we only have one in town, and it's on the other side of town.
All of you complaining about the prices.. work at a five guys before complaining. We literally do everything from scratch, our quality is a lot better than a burger king, and we have some of the best customer service. It's not easy all that we do to make sure everything is right
Okay, so I'm a manager at 5 Guys and I'm going to share some tips with all of you to save some money. 1) You can add one piece of extra bacon for free(considering you get 2 to begin with, it's a good deal.) But only if you order a Little Bacon Burger, Little Bacon Cheeseburger or their double patty counter parts. 2) You can add a piece of cheese for free with the same guidelines as bacon. 3) A little fry feeds one, regular feeds 2 and a large 3. Generally 2 little = 1 regular fry. 2 regular fries = 1 large. 2 large fries = a lot of fucking potatoes. 4) You can make any burger a grilled cheese for free. 5) We offer cajun on the side. 6) We offer a small bag for you to take the peanuts home if you would like. That's all I could think of off the top of my head, but every 5 Guys employee is trained to answer any questions in detail. BELIEVE me.
Brenner's Bakery that supplied their buns was in Arlington, Virginia - not Alexandria. The original Five Guys was in the same small shopping center as Brenner's on Columbia Pike in South Arlington.
It's expensive in comparison to In-N-Out. I am near to both and In-N-Out is ALWAYS busier. Sure, everybody can have opinion on which has better taste, but there is no question which is less expensive.
As a current worker at five guys, I can tell you this is mostly true, I have had people come up to me and let me know they have peanut allergies but ate the fries anyway, some dude told me he loves the fries, and every time he eats them, he snorts whatever he uses to prevent allergic reactions. Thought it was funny, and at 3:10, that table will probably never be that clean, of course we always try to keep our assembly table clean, but at five guys we are required to get the burger and fries you ordered out in 8 minutes or less, and if we don't we get yelled at and or written up. So, in a rush where the line is near the door, constant door dashes and online orders, that table has bits of lettuce, maybe ketchup and mustard on it, lmao. Also a fun fact, every fry size we sell, we give you a little more then twice that, so if you order a small fry, we put what we call a topper on it, a container we fill with fries that corresponds with the fry you ordered, so if you order a little fry, you pretty much get the same amount as a regular or even more, a little fry can feed 2-3 people, a reg can feed 3-4, and a large can feed 4-5. The large topper is basically 2 more large fry's. Its cool.
Yeah. Got one here in Hanford, CA. Paid $7.99 for it but taste is same as In N Out across the street, and more than 50% less price. Wow. It still survive, more than a year and half operation. Obviously some thing must've been done right.
1:29 Sorry, I have to correct this. Peanuts aren't tree nuts at all, they grow underground. In fact, peanuts technically aren't a nut, they are a legume, a family which includes peas and beans. But anyway, I've never been to 5 guys. I've been told by a co-worker that they are too expensive and overrated. After reading a lot of the comments below, a lot of people seem to share the same opinion.
The last time I ordered at Five-Guys I ordered a large fry but the order taker must have doubled my order as the bill was over $15.00! For a burger and fries. I have not been back.
There are two in my area and I’ve never had a bad meal at either. Staff are always friendly and industrious. Only problem is that the kitchen and counter are so busy that the dining area suffers.
They wrap the burgers in foil & the bun is a soggy mess by the time you get to the table. There are numerous better burger places A comment about peanut allergies and the go on to say they fry in peanut oil. Commercially produced peanut oil has no allergy components. Allergies are caused by proteins & there are no proteins in there frying oil.
The cheese burgers are fresh & tasty at most central FL, USA area 5 Guys. A few closed in 2008-2014 era but more started to pop up. The prices are out of line & the French fries are lacking IMO but it's a decent lunch spot on a rare trip. 4/5 times a year maybe. Habit Burgers, Smashburgers, Burger 21, Shake Shack are growing fast too....
I and the wife try them once and we went right back to Berger 21. We hardly see anybody at the 5 Guys restaurant; but you go to Burger 21 and the line, most of the time, is out the door waiting for a seat.
I love 5 guys so much, but honestly, burger 21 is SOOOO much fresher and probably even better for you... Plus, they have so many options even for people that are vegan or vegaterian, like seafood burgers, turkey burgers, etc. Also, their salads are AMAZING =)
Just get small fries because what they do is have a cup and fill it with fries. Then at the bottom of the bag, they pour one whole scoop of fries down there. Small order of fries is basically a larger extra large at other places. Also get the Cajun fries, they are the best!
i disliked in and out.. the first time i ever had it (many years ago) my then GF who was from cali originally introduced me to them saying i will love it.. she ordered the burger the best way possible (with sauce and stuff) and i seriously thought i was eating a fancy mcdonald's burger.. i mean it was good but no doubt that it tasted like processed food.. i tried it a few times since on my own traveling around and im not impressed, legit like a fancy mcdonalds burger.
Yeah, that menu... over $10 for a cheesburger and med. fry? $4 for a freaking hotdog? I know their stuff is good, but you can find a lot of local bars and burger joints making just as good burgers. I tried Five Guys, they were good but not worth the hype IMO. Whalburgers is another one that's overpriced and overhyped.
+Chris M It's not about being able to afford a $10 burger... smdh, this is why people never have money saved for retirement or money saved in general.. Its a damn waste of money.
where I live nobody goes there and it's in a crowded quart with shops. I have only seen 5 people go there at a time because other food places were filled
Brad Quinn their burgers are overpriced for what they are; completely bland compared to other options for the same amount. On top of that, their fries have always been sub par too. No amount of free peanuts can save the actual meal. Maybe the five guys near me just sucks, but I’ve had so many poor experiences there that I doubt I’ll give another location a chance.
5 guys is okay. Just order the smaller size cheese burger & a regular fries. I'm not fond of the peanut oil style fries but you get large portions in Orlando FL locations.
@@julieanna2228 This was in reference to the video, where so many people complained that they had to put out an excuse rather than a solution. I don't doubt you like their buns and I'm sure plenty of others do as well, what's your point? Do you often reply to random people with your food preferences?
It is a real shame that five brothers could not operate out of Alaska USA baby! Had the first one be there in Pennsylvania or West Virginia and I really enjoyed it!
Burger, Fries and Drink costs about $13 bucks at Five Guys. If you take it to go, the burger is a soggy mess. The same meal is about $8 at In N Out. For $8 or $9 I can get burger, onion rings, and drink at Habit. Best Burgers are actually at the Apple Pan, Father's office, J&J Burger Shack, and B&R Old Fashion Burgers. (If you live in LA)
an extra tip: eat the fries first. because they freshly cut their potatoes everyday, they dont have any of the preservatives that other fast food fries have that make them last for hours. thus, they will go soggy after about 15 minutes after you get them.
i went with friends and split the costs i thought the cajun fries were great and the burger was good my favorite burger for flavor and price remains to be from the texas roadhouse
A company I worked for that delivered everything from home furniture to office supplies also delivered the Five Guys buns and rolls. On the same dirty trucks as old mattresses and garbage everywhere
My boy wanted to go to this place for his birthday but I told him I can't. He was pissed to know that I don't eat beef and I have a severe peanut allergy. Should have seen his face lol.
My sister likes to stop in at the local Five Guys as a treat once in a while. Honestly I like to just get a small order of fries for all of us to share, so it's worth the price then.
TOP 5 FAST FOOD BURGERS: 1. Five Guys 2. Inn N Out 3. Whataburger 4. Carls Junior 5. Shake Shack TOP 5 FAST FOOD FRIES: 1. Inn N Out (Animal Style) 2. Five Guys (Cajun Style) 3. Jack In the Box (Curly Fries) 4. Burger King 5. Tommy's (Chili Cheese Fries)
One thing people should know if they have never been to Five Guys it to know the difference between the burgers, a cheeseburger at Five Guys would be what a lot of other places would call a cheeseburger with 1 patty, a cheeseburger at Five Guys is 2 patties instead of 1. And a little cheeseburger would be just 1 patty instead of 2. And also need to know that on their website they say their cheeseburger has 980 calories, and assuming that doesn't count for whatever topping(s) that you want them to put on the burger. I don't see little charger on their website to able to tell how many calories that will back in. But thanks for mentioning about the peanuts, cause anybody that does have a peanut allergy should know before they go, and to avoid them at all costs. I don't have an allergy as far as I am aware of, through I have never tried their peanuts.
I remember I was in Manhattan with my aunt and we went to five guys. We ordered two burgers, two fries, and two drinks. It came up to $30 something dollars.
not a hot take. I've had both and from Europe so no bias. Five guys crushes In-n-out. In-n-out lacks seasoning and flavouring in the most important element, the meat.
i am not the typically fast food consumer but in my opinion the fries served at five guys are outstanding, much better than in similar fast food chains!
Not everyone is allergic to peanut oil. If they aren't allergic to peanut dust or particular parts of the peanut it's also safe. My son has peanut allergy and we bring home five guys. He's even eaten the fries. But we can't take him into the restaurant because of the open nuts.
Hey go into 5 guys during busy hours since 1 it doesn't affect the workflow and u like most places when the flow of people are coming it's easier to work. Order a large fry since you'll also probably get more than norma. I work fries a lot and when it's busy I always thing "hmmm sure let's throw a large even tho than ordered a regular"
Worked at 5 guys before .. manager got PISSED when I took my time to cook the bacon according to the guidelines. And people were complaining their meat wasnt fully cooked. Because he was all about getting it out quicker.
Their burgers are worth it. Best fast food. And as for peanut allergies stay out. Those fries are the best because of the peanut oil. Get rid of that then the fires become trash.
i got in-n-out so yeah.. better compromise with fries and shake or coke mix with pink lemonade all under 10 dollar or get 3x2 if you want more meat. five guys is expensive but ill go there once like every 6 months or something
I've always been fond of 5 Guys and it's by far my favorite burger joint. While I can agree that it is a little pricey, I do understand it. I mean, they use fresh beef without fillers, and that you can get any topping without extra charge. Currently, in my state, the lowest burger price is 5.07, which I'm happy to pay.
Is Five Guys your favorite burger joint? If not, tell us which restaurant you rep!

In and Out and Five guys are super overrated. Can't believe I see people claiming "best in the world"... lmao
They are overpriced not overrated.
@@Cjnw naw you're dumb 😄
@@mrchode3641 easily overrated
My dad is the manager of a five guys and let me tell you. The best burger place out there.
Foods - Mehh at best.
Everything taste like peanuts.
Don’t care for price, you get what you pay for.
I thought you say that when the price is low, not high
It's just to hard to get to a five guys by me either to far or difficult parking.
Not worth the money and better burgers from pubs or cafes.
Yeah...
*No.*
Yeah, that menu... over $10 for a cheesburger and med. fry? $4 for a freaking hotdog? I know their stuff is good, but you can find a lot of local bars and burger joints making just as good burgers. I tried Five Guys, they were good but not worth the hype IMO. Whalburgers is another one that's overpriced and overhyped.
jeff jackson except that one burger and medium fry is like 2 meals so you'd really just be paying 5 dollars a meal
Nah fam
+Chris M It's not about being able to afford a $10 burger... smdh, this is why people never have money saved for retirement or money saved in general.. Its a damn waste of money.
I pay $9.74 for a double patty burger WITH a regular fry at the five guys near me. Seems well priced to me.
It's way too expensive and tastes just like any other burger...
Lmao, they are super affordable 😭😂 wtf are u talking about.
@@LunaticTheCat u could a $2 burger that taste just a good or better at cook out or any other fast food place
where I live nobody goes there and it's in a crowded quart with shops. I have only seen 5 people go there at a time because other food places were filled
What you need to know before eating at Five Guys:
Don’t.
KnightHawk Films why not? I have never had it before
Brad Quinn their burgers are overpriced for what they are; completely bland compared to other options for the same amount.
Mashed never disappoints
"it's by design" doesn't make it good. It just means the buns are shit by design. Congratulations.
Identical to Apple saying the Notch is a Design, not a Flaw. Shi# design doesn't make it a positive lol.
I like their buns
@@julieanna2228 This was in reference to the video, where so many people complained that they had to put out an excuse rather than a solution.
I don't doubt you like their buns and I'm sure plenty of others do as well, what's your point? Do you often reply to random people with your food preferences?
It is a real shame that five brothers could not operate out of Alaska USA baby! Had the first one be there in Pennsylvania or West Virginia and I really enjoyed it!
I work at Five Guys and this is probably the most inaccurate thing i've laid eyes upon
Funnythrashmass aka Ben Dybas
RIGHT?? i work there too
Funnythrashmass aka Ben Dybas as a customer it’s the whole truth
Burger, Fries and Drink costs about $13 bucks at Five Guys. If you take it to go, the burger is a soggy mess. The same meal is about $8 at In N Out. For $8 or $9 I can get burger, onion rings, and drink at Habit. Best Burgers are actually at the Apple Pan, Father's office, J&J Burger Shack, and B&R Old Fashion Burgers. (If you live in LA)
Belfast is in NORTHERN IRELAND!!!!!!
Yanks don't know or care, they think every country in the UK is England ffs
Edit: I'm from Scotland, so hand across the water, my Celtic brother ✌
SOME Yanks DO care! I'm half Irish and half..a lot of other stuff. I'm also a Yank. And I also know some fekking geography.
@@MYERZ08 I believe Mashed is a Canadian company so it's not the Yanks fault for this one.
5 guys is the king
Which is on the island of Ireland. Though you have a point because I assume they meant the Republic of Ireland.
an extra tip: eat the fries first. because they freshly cut their potatoes everyday, they dont have any of the preservatives that other fast food fries have that make them last for hours. thus, they will go soggy after about 15 minutes after you get them.
How many of you guys like five guys? 🤔
eat fast food occasionally-and i dont see that many five giys in the UK anyway
I ate at my area 5 Guys place about 5/6 times a year. It was about 2mi from me.
i went with friends and split the costs i thought the cajun fries were great and the burger was good my favorite burger for flavor and price remains to be from the texas roadhouse
i eat this every morning when i wake up. good food to start your day
Too damn expensive for an o.k burger. Go to In n out instead. Better burger and wont break your wallet.
Mocktezuma111 Agreed
We have just gotten Five Guys in the Netherlands (Europe) Im excited to go taste.
They are really good in Canada. I think they justify the price.
$20 for a burger and soggy fries lol
Big Hoss whatever you say bub
@@jacklane734 20? Is a lot my man
A company I worked for that delivered everything from home furniture to office supplies also delivered the Five Guys buns and rolls. On the same dirty trucks as old mattresses and garbage everywhere
its like a high-end mcdonalds if you ask me its worth the price ya just broke
My boy wanted to go to this place for his birthday but I told him I can't.
He was pissed to know that I don't eat beef and I have a severe peanut allergy.
Should have seen his face lol.
Why not just make your own at home?
Burgers and fries over on our channel... LeGourmetTV Recipes
My sister likes to stop in at the local Five Guys as a treat once in a while. Honestly I like to just get a small order of fries for all of us to share, so it's worth the price then.
Don't expect consistency
TOP 5 FAST FOOD BURGERS:
1. Five Guys
2. Inn N Out
3. Whataburger
4. Carls Junior
5. Shake Shack
TOP 5 FAST FOOD FRIES:
1. Inn N Out (Animal Style)
2. Five Guys (Cajun Style)
3. Jack In the Box (Curly Fries)
4. Burger King
5. Tommy's (Chili Cheese Fries)
Too expensive, too many fries, and too long of a wait.
Average Joe Almost everyone is obsessed with the “endless” fries but I never finish them all, and they’re soggy after like 5 minutes.
Average Joe too many fries?????? Wat?
I have never been to five guys before, but someday I'll go try that.
In-N-Out>Five Guys
In n Out sucks
I’m actually from Belfast, and five guys are actually one of the best burger joints in the city for the price
It's over price
The peanut part is silly. Some people are allergic believe it or not to meat , what should thay do , stop serving meat now?
DAYUM! DAYUM! DAAYUM!
Is only thing important
I don't have an allergy as far as I am aware of, through I have never tried their peanuts.
i was not impressed.................twice.
Me neither. It's strange to know people rave about this place as if it were the ultimate fast food joint.
@@AnalyticalMenace Maybe because we have this wonderful thing called opinions.
You Will Never Know This literally explains nothing.
what movie/show is the kid that said "if i eat a peanut ill die" from?
Do a better place like Whataburger
Solqueen86 whataburger is great
@Bat-Talk!
It truly is. The time it takes shows they make sure to cook it the good way, flat grilled not microwaved.
I remember I was in Manhattan with my aunt and we went to five guys. We ordered two burgers, two fries, and two drinks. It came up to $30 something dollars.
🔥HOT TAKE🔥
Five Guys is better than In-N-Out
not a hot take. I've had both and from Europe so no bias.
Five guys crushes In-n-out. In-n-out lacks seasoning and flavouring in the most important element, the meat.
In-N-Out is 100x better than Five Guys, no comparison.
never been to either, could care less.
i am not the typically fast food consumer but in my opinion the fries served at five guys are outstanding, much better than in similar fast food chains!
Waaaaaaaay to expensive, in n out is same quality, better tasting and HALF the price
Worth double the price though? eh not imo
I always wanted to try in and out but it’s like a 9 hour drive away. So five guys is the second best thing I guess
I was a little concerned at first because I literally just ate five guys, now I’m glad I did 😄
I was not impressed
Colleen Beavers Let’s alert the media.
Travis McDonald no thanks Travis. Just fake news won’t report that I wasn’t impressed anyway
That’s what your ex said
Not everyone is allergic to peanut oil. If they aren't allergic to peanut dust or particular parts of the peanut it's also safe. My son has peanut allergy and we bring home five guys. He's even eaten the fries. But we can't take him into the restaurant because of the open nuts.
Will NEVER eat here again. Got food poisoning from an undercooked burger or bad meat. Missed work for two days.
Every burger I eat is well done with a little burnage on the edges
@@Dave.... are you stupid?
They cook all their burgers well done
Hey go into 5 guys during busy hours since 1 it doesn't affect the workflow and u like most places when the flow of people are coming it's easier to work. Order a large fry since you'll also probably get more than norma. I work fries a lot and when it's busy I always thing "hmmm sure let's throw a large even tho than ordered a regular"
Five Guys sucks
idk if its any different, tried it in saudi arabia and its great af, not even that expensive
nothing special..I'd rather have a whopper,
eeewwww. that place messed up my digestion. forever.
Amandah Owen Whopper and fries any day over five guys.
Eww burger king taste like shit and it smell even worst
#1: the small fry is twice the size of a mcdonalds large fry
Mrkickbutt76 fr and they give u hella fries
Worked at 5 guys before
.. manager got PISSED when I took my time to cook the bacon according to the guidelines. And people were complaining their meat wasnt fully cooked. Because he was all about getting it out quicker.
Their burgers are worth it. Best fast food. And as for peanut allergies stay out. Those fries are the best because of the peanut oil. Get rid of that then the fires become trash.
What I love is the sign that tells you where this week's potatoes are from... which invariably turns out to be East Bumfuck, Idaho.
i got in-n-out so yeah.. better compromise with fries and shake or coke mix with pink lemonade all under 10 dollar or get 3x2 if you want more meat. five guys is expensive but ill go there once like every 6 months or something
Why did 5guys do away with the 2nd burger for $4 deal
WTH
I don’t go there anymore
I've always been fond of 5 Guys and it's by far my favorite burger joint. While I can agree that it is a little pricey, I do understand it. I mean, they use fresh beef without fillers, and that you can get any topping without extra charge. Currently, in my state, the lowest burger price is 5.07, which I'm happy to pay.
