Lifestyle SPG or Lifestyle Sydney Plant Guy to retain full branding. Congrats on taking the leap. I think traveling Sydney and lifestyle content like food, drinks, yoga, fitness, health, travel and exploring other hobbies sounds great. A lot of RUclipsrs seem to do the 2nd channel thing but don’t have as much success because there is less upload discipline. I get that but perhaps that is why the 2nd channel suffers, so depends what you want out of it. Most of your plant fans will enjoy the additional content bc we enjoy your personality. That translates way beyond just plants. We aren’t one dimensional and neither are you! Best wishes Jan!!
Thank you, very kind of you :) upload frequency is certainly something I need to consider. Consistency is key but at the same time I don't want to put more pressure on HAVING to create content. That never makes great content as it takes the fun away :) I'll stay consistent on my main channel though but suppose we'll find out :)

As i spent the weekend walking round Sydney i kept seeing spots that I've seen in your videos previously! Even had a peak thru the glasshouses at gardens with those HUGE AF anthurium ❤

Hi Jan, so proud of you! I found you back at the time over 1 year ago sometime around Summer when I was about to buy my first crawling philodendron, which is funny since you are all about mosspoles. I learned a lot anyway and stick around since than. I watched every minute of your content on RUclips and will continuing doing so, also on this channel. And to support your brave decision I will no longer skip adds on your videos (I’m under the impression if you use the skip button the creator earns less, am I right?) I hope your adventures will bring you a lot of fulfillment and joy and I’m happy I can watch the journey.

Love this Jan! Not sure about the name of this new channel yet - should be more snazzy in my opinion but what I love most about your video's is your knowledge of growing tropical aroids, watching Bradley always by your side and your voice. I can listen to your voice for hours! I look forward to sharing this new journey with you and I would love to see more of Sydney and everything else you spoke of, like your love of cooking, traveling and hanging out with your little furry friend, Bradley. I live in Virginia in the US and it gets cold here in the winter and during my cold winter I get to see your hot summer which helps with my well being since I get the blues when it is cold out and I can't garden outdoors. Congratulations on your new channel and new career. I think the odd cooking video would be great fun - especially for entertaining on your lovely patio. Of course beach videos are always nice too. I'm one of your newest subscribers 😄 I found your 1st channel when searching for info on some specific plants but I subscribed because you offer so much more than just great tutorials. I love your sense of humour. I can imagine you would be great on tv or even radio. I love your dr. Jan character and trouble shooting and plant rescuing is really entertaining and educational for me. Ich weiß nicht, wie genau du den Channel gestalteten möchtest, aber cool wäre vielleicht sowas wie „Weekly Vlogs“ oder ähnliches ☺️ Finde ich persönlich zwischen den „Informativen Videos“ immer super Cozy und entspannnend zum schauen.

I have a little trouble imagining you in another context but I would enjoy seeing you cook, promote artists like in your last video, visit nice places and why not themes like decoration or editing video. Hope this gives you some ideas!

I was wondering what the new channel would be called, when you mentioned starting it. When I found out it was "More SPG", I was surprized by its simplicity, in a good way. It was also ambiguous, also good, as it allows you the freedom to take it wherever you want it to go. It links to SPG , which has become fairly well known among plant enthusiasts. But looking forward to hearing people's suggestions!
Yeah that was my though process behind it. I want a connection to SydneyPlantGuy but don’t want the word ‘plant’ in it if that makes sense :) there were some great suggestions in the comments :)

I'm kinda excited to learn more about you on this channel. Me being from the US I'm curious to see more of Sydney wildlife like walk on the beach vlogs or hiking trails in your surrounding areas. 0:30 that handstand is impressive, I use to be able to do that. Look forward to gym/exercise videos.
You should get a pottery wheel and and try pottery if you haven't already. This channel would be a great opportunity to try new things to share with us. I'm sure we'd all like to see some music, art, food, and travel here. Looking forward to whatever you have to offer.

How about “Plant Guy Pudding”? 😂 I really liked your tours of the botanic gardens or just videos of you exploring Sydney- maybe just some videos about exploring Australia in general! Or a collaborative video where people submit footage or pictures of botanic gardens around the world would be really great! Kind of like you did on the main channel with people’s plant collections!

Also, I found this channel after you mentioned it in a video on your main, and searching “Sydney plant guy” did not pull this up. You might want to change it to “more Sydney plant guy”. I dislike that RUclips removed the “channels” tab from creator profiles.

For content I most enjoy seeing the passion or creativity of someone shine through whatever their heart desires. So this new channel should free you to do just that! Even if you just vlog your days capturing what it takes to create your well thought out,sometimes hilarious videos on main channel. I instantly thought of this highly successful channel ( XO Macenna and XO Vlogs) where She shows her polished home improvement projects on main channel and then shows behind the scenes, lifestyle , shopping, cooking ( sponsored meal companies) talks health ( sponsored vitamins and supplement companies). Im guessing since monetization is scarce, the hunt for sponsorship that fits your and Brad's lifestyles is in demand now and that's ok with me if it means you will be ok too!😻

I have sooo many ideas too many ideas - travel, australia, food/recipes, brad videos, buying your own mansion/huge greenhouse! The botanical garden there should pay you to advise and be their content creator - they would be so lucky
Love that last idea … just the financing is a struggle hahaha !! The botanic gardens are government funded so no budget to pay creators! I just like working with them 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️

Liked and subscribed❣ I loved your walks and would love to see more of Sydney, not the tourist stuff, but the quiet, hidden "jems". Also life in Australia, as compared to life in Germany would be interesting. For example some social (drinking, dating, eating out, tipping, etc) etiquette and /or rules differences. Australia is on my wishlist, I'd hate to brake the law without knowing it, or offend somebody🤷.Maybe what it's like to have pets in Australia: e. g. bills, restrictions, what happens to abandoned pets, etc. Anyway, I wish you the best of luck with your new channel!
