Excellent interviews, both this one and the previous talk. I own the JC5 amp as well as the P6 preamp and have no complaints with either unit. I find that you power them up and they just work flawlessly. I believe I would be hard pressed to find comparable equipment anywhere close to their price point so I am intrigued to see where David Sheriff leads this amazing company. Thank you for the work you put into this channel and your commitment to giving us such insight about Hifi, where it's come from, where it is and where it may be going.

I was using a Hint 6 for about a year and tried a lot of gear along with it. I'm now using a JC2 and JC5. As you will already know, the JC5 is absurd. But I thought the line stage was the Hint 6's weak link. In theory, the P6 should have similar performance. If this is the case, I would humbly suggest that it is holding back your JC5. Might be worth scoping out the used market for a JC2 :)

I bought a used Hint 6 when I ordered my Tekton Moabs, both to use a place holder and to get a taste of Parasound. I ended up using it for a solid year and tried a lot of other things, but kept coming back.
Now I have a used JC2 and JC5 and am floored by the performance. The JC2 is simply transparent. As a preamp should be. The JC5 is a beast. It's fast, it's clean, it's transparent. It's also a little warm, very musical and very, very dynamic. It's also more holographic than my tube amp..

Your experiences parallel SO MANY OTHER Parasound owners experience. I suspect that you can understand why I so strongly support this company and its future potential. 😉

Raising the dealer network globally from a qualitative standpoint absolutely makes sound business sense and also from the customers perspective getting the right information with proper support and system matching is invaluable..
If that means stripping back the places that sell without caring, then so be it..
Keeping tabs on that B stock issue makes sense.
Keeping the circuit designers as the decision makers for "Research and innovation."
Will continue the outstanding portfolio of items on offer.

I'm SO glad you get what is being laid out as the future of this amazing company. I truly think we are poised to see a remarkable advances in Parasound's business model and product lineup... Time will tell, but the indications are very promising...

I hope that with all the changes that the new Parasound can maintain its emphasis on providing their customers with outstanding, high value gear without falling into the luxury product pricing models that saturate todays high end audio market and dominate the surviving brick and mortar stores. With few exceptions, the high end has ceased being the innovators of new technology that can be scaled down into more economical products. it seems like mid-priced gear has been the locus of innovation while the high end has focused almost exclusively on the refinement of mature designs and their implementation.
That said, I wish the new Parasound the best of luck.

I'm glad to see Darren (sp?) at Parasound. PS was screwing the pooch with his designs. Darren was a good resource but he couldn't reengineer the cheapened internals that Paul included. I am now a happy JC3+ user.

CLEARLY, right? I think Parasound is going to become a paradigm of how an electronics manufacturer should be managed in the modern era...
