“DICE” begins by channeling Guns ‘N Roses, then immediately introduces the unexpected complexity that we have come to expect from the best hard rock band in the world today 🌎 Band-Maid is untouchable
This is one of the first songs I heard from them and it's still one of my favorites. MISA's bass tone and drive are epic, the guitar tones and the solo is epic, the intro and outro are epic, the lyrics are epic, the video is epic. I recommend this to noobs a lot.
I know the "dice" have already been thrown (as in her lyrics), but I choose to look at it as stop being indecisive, sitting in a dark room playing with dolls (TV, phone, toys, games, etc.). "Seize the moment", roll the dice, open your eyes, and walk into the light! Miku's lyrics, especially after translation, can be a bit cryptic - open for interpretation, as are all poems and lyrics. But their music is always right on point which melds the two into wonderful songs of possibilities! Thx, John!
Full concert live? Maidiacs unite. There can be only one: 2018 Live @ Zepp Tokyo The great “Tiny Hat-san” Era in full force. And “Moratorium!!” I expect the grand finale at Yokohama Arena may challenge in the future, but that night in Tokyo? Even Godzilla stood in awe of the Maids
This song is the one that really sold me on Band-Maid. Listening to Misa being featured so prevalently, really caused me to notice the difference in the music they make. This song as a whole is just great as well. They all rip it up in this one.
I Instantly loved Band-Maid after hearing my first song by them "Real Existence" BUT I became a RAVING FANBOY after the first 15 seconds of "Dice" to the point I flew from Australia to the US to see them in 2019.
You heard them play this in Nashville. I was there! But I understand being fairly new to them, you just got hit by a ton of their songs in 2 hours. It would be hard to remember. But yeah, they are great. I'm going up to Minneapolis to see them Sunday!
Live rip DVD? Well in order. - 2017(or 16) Shinkiba Studio Coast - 2018 world Domination tour Zepp Tokio - 2020 Line Cube Shibuya (still available for purchase) support the Maids and get a Copy. -2023 Tokyo Garden Theater
This song is a call to arms. In Japan they have a sub-culture of shut-ins, people who are either unemployed or under employed who basically won't move out on their own. They stay in their parent/grandparent's home basically playing with dolls or video games, instead of getting out and living life and trying to better themselves. This song is calling them out. Challenging them, "Are you gonna stay in there playing with DOLLLLLLLLLS like a little kid? Or are you going to stand up take off the blindfold, leave the dolls and games behind and step out into the real world?" At the end of the video, the girl puts down the doll, takes off the blindfold and steps into the light. It's called Hikikomori in Japan and is defined as: "pulling inward, being confined", also known as severe social withdrawal, is total withdrawal from society and seeking extreme degrees of social isolation and confinement. Hikikomori refers to both the phenomenon in general and the recluses themselves. The concept is primarily recognized only in Japan, although similar concepts exist in other languages and cultures. Hikikomori have been described as loners or "modern-day hermits". Estimates suggest that half a million Japanese youths have become social recluses, as well as more than half a million middle-aged individuals. - Definition from Wikipedia Also @JohnReavesLive the Ladies of Band-Maid have a NEW song (Shambes) premiering tomorrow at 11 am Eastern, 10 am Central, 9 am Mountain, 8 am Pacific.
MISA plays Lead Bass, always - except when she's just holding a note - and that's almost as good. If you like MISA go to the BAND-MAID Instrumental Channel and check out the old version of 'Play!' LIVE. They also have the Whiteroom Tutorials, not all the individual instrument videos, but the compilation videos, but those others are probably on Bilibili. Now that I've given you a tip, where have I heard that song you play in the background at the end? I know it from somewhere. A keyboard plugin, or an anime? I can't quite recall.
Ladies just dropped a suprise new single Shambles just hours ago!! To say this is a banger would be a extremely understatement!! The stage is litterly on fire and to drop this right before they are due to perform at Lollapalooza was brilliant!! 🤘🎸🔥
This song set the hook for Band-Maid, with the MISA/Akane intro to Misa's bass solo and Kanami's guitar solo! And in Saiki and Miku doing fantastic vocals, what's not to like!
Studio Coast . But I think the available footage is not the full okyu-ji. I guess if you can get the Tokyo Garden Theater stream or your Nashville serving, it would be great!
second Studio Coast.. had maybe the best visuals and damn good mix. you can watch it if you got BAND-MAID prime. afaik all officially released full concerts are there
All superlatives are now redundant, if anything is for example excellent, fantastic, awesome etc you just insert BAND -MAID instead, what a fcken band Viva the Maids Po 👍🎼🥁🎤🎸🍻
These Maids have been a little dicey. For me, "Dice" has always sounded something that Pat Benatar could have "covered" (retroactively) back in the late '70's & early '80's as its overall sound would have suited her rock style.
The Maids are back tomorrow in Chicago for Lollapalooza and continue their tenth anniversary tour.
Seeing them on the 12th in Spokane 😏❤️🎙🎸🥁😎🤘
New song being dropped tomorrow 'Shambles'
That's right, very cool. Tomorrow!!!
Ohhhhh dude I can’t wait!!
Hell yeah!
DICE is a gateway drug, once you sample it, you're hooked for life.

The Maids are dropping a new song tomorrow at 9:00 AM, it's called " Shambles. " 😏❤️🎙🎸🥁😎🤘
I saw them in NYC in February, opening for The Last Rock Stars...they won me as a fan that night...incredible band!

Heavy guitars, progressive verses yet still a pop-punk song at heart in the chorus and bridge. This song is always an absolute delight.
They are releasing a new song and MV today (thursday August 3rd), called SHAMBLES. Wanna bet it'll be brilliant?
MISA MISA MISA!!!!!
Did you notice their announcement a little while ago? They are premiering a new music video *"Shambles"* at 10:00 am CDT tomorrow August 3rd, 2023.
Okay, I saw your comment on the video.
As you were.

Even though Thrill was my first BM song, DICE was THE song that made me love them, especially MISA.
MISA! MISA! MISA!

Nice reaction, John. This is the song that made me a Madiac.

Irrespective of the song, I get goosebumps at some point during every Band Maid song. Check out YOLO and The Non-Fiction Days.
