- This is a little bit more of a teardown than some of the other videos I have seen. Sadly this unit is dead, but figured it would make a good opportunity to show how to access and replace the CMOS battery.
Want to support what I do? Best way is to check out my eBay listings and see if I have something you need. 😀

Nice. Very interesting... The detail you went into gave clear instructions on how to take one apart; what to watch out for and how to tweak tricky parts! Thank you 👍
Thank you for sharing -- very helpful!
The process was kinda tricky. I am glad I was able to help with this video. 🙂
Nice. can you explain how to remove the metal body placed inside in a video??
Sorry I no longer have this unit so I wouldn't be able to make any other videos on it.
Will taking out the CMOS battery and then rebooting clear the administrator privilege?
Unlikely. There might be a jumper I didn't notice when taking it apart that would solve that though.
@@computersales Thanks. I bought this unit from a goodwill outlet store and ironically, it is one of their units. Customer support says to talk to the site that I got it from. Also, it appears the screw holding in the ssd appears to be stripped. The only good thing is that they sell by the weight so this might have cost me around $4 since their pricing is $1.99/lb.
Not a total loss then. If anything the SSD would have some value or use.
