- "Wheel in the Sky" is a song by the American rock band Journey, recorded in 1978 and included on their fourth studio album, Infinity. The band decided to follow a new direction into an edgier sound and started recording simple hard rock pieces with the new lead vocalist Steve Perry, who replaced Robert Fleischman. "Wheel in the Sky" was one of the first songs that the band composed and produced with their new lead singer. Wheel In The Sky is the one of the band's most popular songs and is also one of the most famous late 1970s tracks in the history of rock music.

This is why Journey became such a Phenomenal Success!!! Steve Perry's Vocals, the way he delivered a Song was so Unique and Beautiful, with so much emotion Plus his Songwriting, and the way he had a Fabulous stage presence and connection with the Fans. He is the BEST!!! God Blessed us by giving us Steve , thank you God and I pray Steve has peace and happiness for all he gave for so long! Miss him and am looking forward to the new album due out soon this year.

Holy Mother of God can this boy wail!!!! Oh my goodness...the bluesy feel he puts into these rock tunes sets him apart from any other Rock singer to grace the planet. That is one of the main things lacking in any other singer Journey has tried to recruit. Steve has the Blues in his soul and it tumbles out every time he opens his mouth to sing. That and the depth and roundness of his tone and the fact that he's bloody gorgeous and knows how to work a crowd doesn't hurt either! :)
