I’ve been a 7ft center from 2k13-2k22 then a 6’8 2k22-2k24 Made a 6’8 this year and it’s not the wave. Made a 7’1 and I get 25+ rebounds per game in the rec as opposed to 16 per game on the 6’8 I made this year. More versatile and honestly more fun to play a 6’8 but being 7ft+ is way better for a center this year
I definitely messed my build up. I usually would say the same. But if I had went 96 rebound and put more vert I would be fine. I didn’t even keep up with 2k news so I didn’t know about legend badges I was fine with my same build being slightly better than last year because I was killing. But I seen guys taller than me getting my same vert or more, so I definitely took an L there. I can technically get those both up through cap breakers but my speed is capped and my strength as well. It would be different if I had those attributes off rip then Id be like ok Im either trash or its really not it, but I definitely messed my build up. My dude literally don’t be jumping off the ground even when Im by myself 😂😂😂
@@350z-_- never had issues with being 6’8 in the rec previous years because interior defence existed, could body up and put hands up and stop most people inside. At 6’8 I was able to run the floor as fast as most guards and score on easy cuts blowing by the 7’ centers
The thing with undersized centers is you gotta put your body between then and the basket AND box out as well. If you box him out then he can’t jump for the board
The problem is when they set big body screens for the guard that can pull from limitless, you kinda have to step up to help your defender should he get stuck on the screens and then undersized centers gets the odd chance to slip through
I run a 6’8” PF. Made him for the first time last year and brought him back this year. More than capable to play center if I need to. One of my favorite builds. Rodman-esque with a 78 3pt and much better than last year at blocking shots. At 95 strength that immovable enforcer build is very important on this player.
I recommend a lot of you stop making your offensive rebound higher than your defensive. That’s why you got horse it was your 80 vs his 96. I rather guarantee my defensive rebound and get maybe 3 offensive rebounds than give up six defensive rebounds for 5 offensive.
@@DontAdoreYou as someone who frequently goes up against 99 offensive rebound builds that have 80-85 defensive rebounds I give up maybe 2 max 3 offensive rebounds while my 80 offensive rebound gets about 2-4. Higher defensive rebound is favored every 2k that’s why it’s always more expensive.
I had a 6’8 Center last year so my day 1 build this year is the same. You can make some nutty builds. Mine has 92 reb 75 handle and Swb 85 standing 88 block 80 vert. Made it just for one cap breaker that I will put on handle to get a 80. If I do get a second cap breaker it’s going to driving dunk
1 thing I don’t like about most people that have steal in general: They always fucking reach, my homebody has a 99 and averages 5.3 fouls a game in 50+ games. I face more my sized centers, (7ft, great finishing and shoot around 40% from 3 and 58% from the field) yes they are better overall but they have weaknesses they almost never contest you with good close shot (at least in my experience) and are easily moved even if they have 91 strength by good post control
Small bigs only work if you have 3-2 bigs crashing for boards or if you make them strong for box out and to top it off they are short it’s a baby in the paint

He's 6'8, changed his block to 90, dropped perimeter to 55, 80vert, 81 strength, dropped interior to 85 dropped o boards to 76, kept d boards to 92 and game himself a 87 standing dunk, no layups no driving dunk 🫢 I said what u doing just make the one I gave u, he said no cus he believes in his. Now he's getting bodied by 7ft, pgs doing layups on him and he getting outrebounded almost every game where competent ppl show up and is afraid to play rec because they put him at C 😂

Only problem this year, if someone has a 92+ close shot, you will score over the 6 ft 8 every single time

THIS! If they have a crazy offensive rebound and you have a sizeably lesser defensive, they'll dominate you on the offensive rebounds.
