Thanks for the review, i`m a similar weight to you in this video and my commute is about 4 miles each way so this was very informative as i actually had this scooter sat in a basket and ready to buy. The Pure Elec range this year seem to be the boyo`s so i shall continue my search. Best wishes mate.

Hi there buddy. The LeMotion won't be up to it mate so delete from basket. The best option will be the Emove cruiser but it is more expensive. Also, if you are a tall person like myself you will need to get an extender for the stem to raise the handlebars. Anything under 1000 watts will be a complete waste of money. Very best wishes, Des

the only way it could be ecofriendly is by charging it by solar power. i charge mine with my ecoflow delta max which i charge by solar. free energy

I've ridden mine 5 times because I was chased by police 😱
    I get 21mls on trail at 15mph
I'm 95kg,loads power for hills, you must have got a faulty one, mine goes 14.7 mph up steep hills 🤔

@@21stcenturycaveman33 The spec for this scooter is the best in class at this price so it's a shame yours wasn't fit for purpose. Wouldn't it be a good idea to get a replacement just in case yours was faulty? If the same thing happens again then that's it for this scooter. If it turns out you were just unlucky, I would buy it. Thoughts?

      the range spec is fake,
real range is 21mls at 15mph,
      loads power for hills though,
      the battery is only 12.5ah,
can't expect more range really, super strong made and good suspension,I've ridden in torrential rain,no problems,
      good brakes.

I did wonder how you was getting on with it. I have used the Pure Electric Scooter daily for nearly 2 years and it has been great for me especially when on a evening shift. I can cover my journey in around 25 minutes and it has been great apart from changing the inner tubes of you get a flat. I have had four punctures in 2 years and each time has been a complete hassle and a lot of faffing. Would you consider another brand? The issue I have found is the price increase is extreme.

    • @21stcenturycaveman33
      @21stcenturycaveman33  2 года назад +1

Hiya buddy. That's precisely the problem. I could do with a dual motor of at least 1000 watts but the price increase doesn't justify the purpose for which I would use it mate. But there are definitely good escooters out there for big guys lik myself but I'm just not prepared to pay the price. Thanks for watching, Des

    nice video 😎
I've just received the latest version of the inmotion S1
they have changed to a single light that isn't a part of the display housing, the bell is integrated into the brake lever,
    the backlight is brighter,
it seems more brutal acceleration, after 19.6 miles
    still had 45% battery,
    my lemotion S1 is dead
at 19mls, supposed to be the same scooter 🤔

You'll be absolutely fine. Main point is to practice first in a safe space so you can get feel of scooter and get your balance. There are tons of vids on YT giving advice. Best one for stopping is to do so gently and in good time and use motor breaking power where possible (i.e. just let the scooter slow down of it's own accord without using brakes). Most important though is to lean backwards so you don ;t get thrown over handlebars. Enjoy your scooter. If you're a lighter, smaller person than myself you'll have a great time. Best wishes, Des

Hiya mate. See my replies in the comments section - they should make it clear what the situation is. This will be good for a smaller, lighter person or teenager. However, no way near powerful enough for a large person who wants to ride a few miles. The battery is just too small and not powerful enough. Forget the sales hype and all the statistics the manufacturers quote - these are no based on any reasonable reality. If you want a good scooter which has significantly better battery and range and is suitable for a person of pretty much any size then you need the Emove Cruiser. Priced around 1300 dollars or UK pounds. Absolute fantastic buy.

  • @god604

I had the same exact problem... I was at 75% battery and I tried going up a 30 degree hill, but it bogged down really bad and in the end I had to just push it up by foot. In the end I was really disappointed because it's definitely not as advertised. My recommendation is to avoid this scooter and save your money for a scooter that delivers.

Loving the crocs Des I practically live in mine and also get away with wearing them at work and wow are they comfortable during a 12 hour shift constantly on your feet. I have been thinking about getting a electric scooter but heard that police are stopping people because there not classed as road worthy and can only be used on private land if you could look into the legal side to using a scooter that would be fantastic

    • @21stcenturycaveman33

Dan, how are you mate? I do love wearing my crocs buddy. They're just so convenient it's untrue. escooters are currently illegal buddy unless used on private land like you say. I'm not sure how hot the local police are on these and I've only used the thing twice in public so I've never encountered this issue myself. Hope you and yours are safe and well. ATB, Des
