"Name one thing Modern Warfare changed" has me wheezing That line was the most generic video-game presentation line in the history of the universe and Dunkey's clap back was perfection
Modern Warfare made every game grey and very, very serious for a few years. Thanks for that, Modern warfare. I remember when Medal of honor was a fun game series and then they made Medal of honor warfighter. Remember when Battlefield and Call of duty were different games? Suddenly they were the same game. There was also the sniper ghost warrior game series. They didn't have the budged to make a whole CoD, so they only did the mission where you were a sniper but like sixteen times. So basically AAA games were really bad for a while. But I guess that means nothing really changed.
To be fair, MW19 did just what COD 4 did for the franchise and the rest of the FPS games, now you will see every new shooter game using tactical reloads and shit everywhere thanks to MW19, they did an excellent job

Back when open world was still innovative, I'm guessing the success of titles like TES: Oblivion, Skyrim, fallout 3, etc... had a huge impact on the industry. Then look at the ungodly hype surrounding Fallout 4 in 2015. You'd be an idiotic marketeer if you didn't at least try to capitalize off of trends. Unfortunately, that means a more severe lack of creativity. As if tight, detailed, attention-demanding level design is somehow less satisfying to play than a boring sandbox with nothing interesting happening anywhere other than the same random encounters over and over again at unrealistic rates.
@@RedFloyd469 But back then the open world's where more then only innovative, they where actually handcrafted worlds (like Morrowind) bringing an impression of what the developer had in mind, an 'atmosphere.' And sometimes you like the atmosphere it portrays or sometimes you don't. @@skandosh9025 The fallout 4 quest system was poorly designed, uninspired, and completely lacking in memorable content. Fallout new vegas was the high point of the series, exactly because of the strong writing of characters, quest design, world design and the story/lore. Bethesda lacks all of those things. I'm not even talking about the absolute disaster that was and still is Fallout 76. From everything shown during the showcase, Starfield is just 2015 fallout 4 in space, with randomly generated worlds that are completely uninteresting, completely bland and void of meaningful interactions. It's no man's sky but with crappy robotic facial animations and a quest system designed by an idiot that quite literally openly said he believes quests and stories should be simplistic action->reward systems with no meaningful content behind it whatsoever. "I haven't seen any farmers or dancing sequences with Sonic which its a shame,"
Well I got some good news Dunkey
Seems a lot of developers are finally confronting their childhood traumas facing FF7’s frog enemies. Very inspiring
Why did you have to remind me. I'm gonna have nightmares tonight.
Why did he call ff7R's story butcherd? It's fine I've never heard hard core ff fans complaining about the game. The only thing we complained about was the fact that there are multiple parts
@@lone-dmc9174 there were some changes between fl7 & ff7R and donkey probably didn't like them so it's probably that, I love remake version but everyone has opinion eh
@@ultimateupgrade828 I mean the changes obviously make it some sort of time sequel I mean it was a little bit of a piss take that there was a fight with Sephiroth that early in the story ig but it isn't butched it's still a very good experience
Making an Alan Wake 2 actually makes a lot of sense since there were 2 people who played the first one.
The question now is if enough people will play it to justify making the third one.
I don't know why people sleep on Alan Wake it's such a weird story and it's not like the premise for the game play couldn't be expanded on
the two means they can play together:)
It's kinda unprofitable from a business standpoint though if you think about it. I mean, those people already own the two copies of Alan Wake that are being produced
If you played Control this would not be a shock.
"Creative Business Unit III" holy shit, my sides 🤣🤣
Dunkey would be proud that Sonic Frontiers actually has a dancing sequences
"Name one thing Modern Warfare changed" has me wheezing
That line was the most generic video-game presentation line in the history of the universe and Dunkey's clap back was perfection
The fact they decided a "Cinematic developer" to answer that question was even worse, so much to say and the guy was like "ehhh, ummm"
@@tharrock337 It means games are no longer brown in color tone and filled with bloom everywhere like in PS3/xbox 360 generation.

I'll never understand why every company thinks that every game has to be open world.
“Well we decided to make it open world bc open world games sell really well” basically
It's actually more of an open zone type game
@@RedFloyd469 But back then the open world's where more then only innovative, they where actually handcrafted worlds (like Morrowind) bringing an impression of what the developer had in mind, an 'atmosphere.'
And sometimes you like the atmosphere it portrays or sometimes you don't. (it isn't your style)
But it's better then open world games nowadays, where they essentially take a big map, a playground, and fill it with objects so it's hidden that it's only skin deep.

Fallout new vegas was the high point of the series, exactly because of the strong writing of characters, quest design, world design and the story/lore.
