Just realized my 11 month old comment has 400 likes. Honestly, things changed. I like the 2019 Modern Warfare almost as much as I liked the og MW2. Proud to see it get remastered but I am also thankful it did not get a multiplayer, so it did not split the community, so I can still fully enjoy the current one.
I swear if super Mario bros 2 isn't number 1....

Well he certainly is famous no doubt, but I wouldn't say he is on the level that you think he is. I know everything he is done and so do you. But we are not the majority of the population. There are a lot more people that consider mainstream pop artists like Ariana Grande a household name as opposed to Hans Zimmer.

Lots of cool imagery, but ultimately I’m really not sure what the story is, don’t think I’ll ever know, and the gameplay is pretty lackluster and repetitive imo. I know there must be a lot of secret rooms I missed because of the achievements but with the rooms I have seen, I don’t expect they’ll add much to story.

Did Inside grow on you? In a previous video you said it basically plays itself. Or maybe I was just reading negativity where it wasn't.
Yeah when it first came out I wasn't hugely impressed with it. Mechanically it's not brilliant, a lot of holding right on the analog stick, but yeah the story just stuck with me and when I tried it again in December I thought it was incredible.

The ending sucked to be honest, they just said fuck it and lets do something weird. But the whole journey was amazing so I hated it when the "Inside" was just gibberish. At least the boy should crawled out of that meat ball to the sea so we can see a revenge story where the boy ends up free in the sea not dead on the shore.

Joking aside, Dunkey's list is one of the most accurate I've seen. We don't play games that came out that year exclusively in that year. It'd be fine if people did "the best games that came out in 2016 lists" like ProJared, Jim Sterling, etc., but it's always "your favorite games that you played in 2016. I played Paper Mario 2 last year. I played Kingdom Hearts 2, Final Fantasy 7, Xenoblade Chronicles, and a bunch of other games that didn't come out in 2016. Can those go on my "favorite games of 2016 list?

I do this every year when making my list. Why limit yourself to only the games that came out that year? It's more fun to talk about all of your favorite gaming experiences in the last 12 months, regardless of their release date.
I can't make a list of my favourite games I have played in in a year because it is just to many to dry it down into a list of 10. Also, this nostalgia list is even more subjectice and vague since he could include all kinds of games being decades old. And nobody should be dumb enough to actually be interested in dunkeys opinion.

I honestly think CoD4 had the best MP hands down, but the SP in MW2 was a flat out masterpiece. I remember everyone, all of my friends included losing their collective shit over the campaign when it came out. Everything was just right for the time. Plus, that soundtrack. Almost as good as Crysis 2's. Take me back yo.
YGuy1 I didn’t like the campaign cause it strayed away from the previous games a little too much, instead of being a human solder fighting for his life in a horrific war you’re an invincible badass one-man hero easily shooting through enemies saving the world. Thats why the nuke scene in CoD4 is so good cause it’s a reminder that you’re a soldier in a war, just because you do an act of heroism doesn’t mean you’re going to win the war. But maybe you like the action movie type campaign IDK.

I really enjoy your last year reviews Dunkey, cause you always explore any genre, any console, any brand without prejudices...i really loved Ori and Inside, but i'm also happy that you've put MW2, cause it got the best singleplayer of the whole saga and people just giving hate cause "COD is for kids". You always manage to give us quality content with concrete and valid points, in the funniest way possible. I rarely comment on YT, but i just wanted to let you know how much i respect you my man.
Winsaner Well said. Really want to try Ori now, and MW2 was the last cod I purchased with my own money and hit max prestige with. I absolutely loved that game, and wish we had a quality successor to it.
