Chronicles of Riddick is highly underrated. One of my all-time favorite sci-fi movies.
This ISN'T Chronicles Of Riddick movie. Which means you and all those who liked your comment, have never seen this movie and confused it with the one that came out in 2004, after Pitch Black. This Movie is simply called RIDDICK. Came out AFTER C.O.R. (Chronicles Of Riddick)
And these movies all together are called, The Chronicles Of Riddick Trilogy and/or Series.

the 2nd will always be my favorite, and riddick my least favorite. i did just order the director's cut of riddick though because i wanted these deleted scenes.
really annoys me that people disliked 2 for not being a pitch black clone so they made the 3rd a pitch black clone, and not a very good one. the first 45 mins or whatever of riddick is really good, but once the bounty hunters show up it goes way downhill. the part when he took santana's head off by kicking a sword at it was especially silly and stupid. if they wanted to make it like pitch black they definitely should have left out silly shit like that.

kinda hard to believe. his weasel wife convinced him to try to kill the previous lord marshall so she would surely be nonstop trying to convince him to kill riddick as well. i was hoping that bitch would be killed at some point.
@@Jack_80 Actually she only convinced him because Just like she stated, their faith was the most important thing and the previous lord marshal head lost faith in their beliefs by letting the prophecy of a furian warrior defeating him create disbelief in his heart thus making him weak and fearful which made Vaako see and believe he was no longer fit for the throne. Unless the writers drop the ball or pursue another angle, that can and should never happen with Riddick. This is because as we know it, the Furian and fierce and fearless which si one of the most defining principles the necromongers try to preach.

@@UMADBRO312 He actually did that in this movie in the extended cut. He returns for his revenge. Krone tells him that he was all his plan. Vaako really did want to return Riddick to Furia unharmed. Vaako was smart enough to realize both men wanted this. Krone went rogue and Riddick killed him. Actually I think this scene is from the extended cut.

I’m replaying the games because I miss Riddick so much. lol. I was a little kid when I watched Pitch Black, The Chronicles of Riddick and now I’m a full grown adult, who finished watching Riddick for hundredth time.
There’s just something about him that outshines the characters we have today. A Prisoner. A Murderer. A Warrior. A Lord Marshall. A Furyan.
No one could compare.

Honestly, I wouldn’t mind if the villain was another Furyan. It would set up a whole new plot. Introduce other characters. And Riddick would have to choose between Furya...and the rest of the universe.
Vakko could back too. He’s very interesting, and I feel like his story isn’t over yet.
I really want another Riddick movie...or a game, tv series, book, or maybe even comics. All four would be nice. 😀

The Fast, The Furious & The Furya
I like the reason Riddick leaves in the Animated Film Blindside.
The assassination attempt make him realize that he become civilized and he leaves to get in touch with his Animal side.
I watched that, it was so awesome. It sucks they didn't do a live action version of that in the film.
Possibility: Riddick is the one Vaako saw as a child which in turn means riddick goes to the past and fights in the last Furian war.
Actually it has been suggested that the eyeshine ability is a trait that certain furyan alphans gain

Considering one of them, I'm betting Krone, keeps trying to kill him, he's happy to leave them behind. And besides he's a loner, he's more comfortable alone.

why didn't he get the coordinates from vaako? that's what i would imagine him doing, getting the location, taking a ship and going there himself. guess they needed a reason to ditch to necro plot and go back to a pitch black wannabe to please the majority of fans that somehow thought the plot of chronicles was too complex. i really don't get it, it seemed pretty simple and straight forward to me, guess people have been dumbed down even more than i realized.

I'm so glad Karl Urban returned for this. It was 9 years between Chronicles and this, so he could have died or quit acting in that time span! Let's hope he does the final movie and looks the same as he did in this since he's supposed to be (half) undead, therefore ageless in appearance.

i doubt the necromongers will even be in the last movie. they seemed to be trying really hard in the 3rd movie to eliminate them from the story, all because people thought 2 was too complicated.
i honestly don't see what was so hard to understand about the 2nd movie. it was a pretty simple, easy to follow story. awesome but simple. his black friend puts a bounty on him to get him there to save the universe from the necromongers because the elemental could calculate the future and he was the only hope of stopping them.
then he uses the necromongers to rescue jack from prison. she dies saving riddick from the lord marshall and then riddick kills him and replaces him as lord marshall.
i pretty much summed up the entire movie in a couple paragraphs and people thought it was too complicated. just goes to show how dumbed down the masses have been in the past few decades if they can't understand that plot.

The comic does keep going as the movie follows . Vaako goes on to overpower riddick . Of course riddick makes alliances but we will never see that movie .

What I wanted to see is a movie "Furya".
Seeing a thousand Alpha Furyans ripping apart whole necro divisions and from how Vaako narrates this story and looking in a hanging Lord Marshal outfit. It seems the Furyans back then has managed to kill their supreme leader during the invasion of their planet. In the chronicles of riddick we can see the younger version of the Lord Marshal who was a lieutenant back then and upon learning a prophecy of his future ordered every male furyan babies to be killed and the rest of the populace converted or plowed over (explaining the origin of the Purifier who was a former Furyan citizen but not an Alpha)
Sadly no, the Lord Marshal was not there, this was the one we saw in the movie that led that attack, prior to being made the Lord Masrshal when his predseccser named him successor *after randomly committing ritualistic suicide.*

It is a genetic marker for alpha furians. He went to a doctor in the prison he was in, but it wasn't the doctor that did it.
It is also likely that it was a common decision for Furyans to have it done to them to improve their night combat abilities. Make them better warriors

I still like the fan theory of Vaako also being Furiyan, but either half breed or unawakened. It would tie back to the previous Lord Marshall being unsteady around Vaako. Never quite trusting him.

I've been trying to figure out why didn't Riddick used the Quasi-Deads to retrieve the information of the map and vaako head.

Yes it's extended . They intended to be true to the comics Wich follow this plot . Plot being vaako overpowers riddick by a lot so he finds alliances . But we will never see that movie only in comic form
This series created a fantastic fictional universe that had the potential to tell the story of a Furyan who became Emperor, but instead reverted the entire story back to Riddick running from sweaty, low-grade mercenaries. Did they run out of ideas? Such a wasted opportunity.
If vakoo serves the lord marshall [riddick]; you think riddick can order him to reveal the location on a galaxy map and he can go from there.

This one flopped, mainly because it was a repeat of Pitch Black. Diesel could have gone for the 4th story as the third, and noone would have missed this one. But the flop determines if another is made or not. I do hope for a 4th though with Urban in a more prominent role as Vaako.

I didn't like how soft they made Vaako look in this move. I miss his hardened portrayal. And his gruff voice.

Those are his Natural Eyes Because Furyians are Different Compared to other Humans. Given That Furyia is a Hostile Planet they Evolved on it to the point where they are physically capable of living on it. But the Alpha Furyians which is what Riddick is, Are the only ones who are Physically Superior to other Humans and have Glowing Eyes that can See in the Dark.
