I dont care what anyone says I feel I need to get at least one assortment every year along with my cakes and shells. Assortments are still great fun and great value!
Same here even if it’s one of those “kiddie” type assortments that come in a backpack or car shaped container. This way I’m sure to have least a few small items/novelties for younger kids

Same I usually get two different TNT assortments along with artillery shells and 500 gram cakes I like everything plus the assortments bring back so many 4th of july memories.
Plus the kids are scared of the big stuff lol & I’d rather them not be lighting 1.75-4” shells
At least here in California, assortments also get you fireworks that you wouldnt be able to get anywhere else
When I buy an assortment, it's usually just for fun filler to start off the day before the big stuff. So I would usually buy a budget assortment. And these assorted tube fountains as shown at 4:06 are what I like to see because you know you're not getting scammed by those pesky box fountains. With the tube fountains, you can see what you're actually getting. And it's giving you more stuff to light. That to me is a sign of a good honest budget assortment.
I do like the Sky Thunder type assortment for an “afternoon” of fun, before lighting the “big” firework show in the evening. You made some excellent points Cody, thanks for sharing.
I never knew I needed a channel dedicated to fireworks... until now.
Outside the Walmart i live near they would have a stand to sell fireworks and they would always have a pack the size of a door called The Big Bang for $999

I feel like when it comes to fireworks you really do get what you pay for in almost every scenario. I think assortments have their place in the market but personally id rather take said amount and build my own assortment

Another good thing to do is shop around! American wholesale fireworks. Shipping kills ya, but the prices of the fireworks are pretty reasonable. Great video on assortments!

I think the next time you make a video like this you should add in two more tiers, a below $50 tier and an over $200 tier. A lot of people who just want to grab some fireworks for the 4th are probably going to be shopping in the sub $50 range. But also, for the backyard enthusiasts there are some really good assortments for more than $200 dollars. The Gun Deck by Superior Fireworks comes to mind

In general I’d say no to assortments unless they are shelf items and priced right. If you buy a typical assortment, you are just putting all of the decision making up to the manufacturer and they are going to stick you with lots of the same items. Weak fountains and hybrid fountains and cakes.
Assortments are generally just made of "filler" stuff.
Watched the fire thunder kit video you put up before this one and was just kind of curious about why we only got to see 2 of The 3 shell kits set off during the video..

I got the shark attack assortment raccoon, big box of bombs and mob madness with the haunted assortment and raccoon squad, and T sky assortment is good but I prefer assortments like the perfect match or the max assortment and or that dominator assortment Cody that’s the best 1 in my opinion have gn Cody appreciate info

I have a real problem with assortments, there's a few out there you can get some good deals but for the most part i can get it picked out cheaper, my son's are usually the ones who want them the most, i just tell them I'll build them one and put it in a box lol
Where I go for fireworks. He has the max by brothers for $499. Not a bad price especially since I always include 1 assortment to my shopping list.

Well, thats a hard issue to figure out because a lot of these items are only sold in said assortment. So you cant really find their value outside the assortment.
Now the argument can be made that if you take 100$ of individual fireworks and put them up against a 100% assortment...youd get more with the individuals

I've noticed they like to add a lot of fillers in assortment so your really not getting anything good but a few big items.

Quiet honestly not impressed with all these assortment packs. They are a smidge better than the safe and sane box fountain assortments from California. They should include cakes and shells (price dictating) mixed with a few novelties of Roman candle/rocket and some sparklers for the kids. I rather get less items of better quality then lackluster most the way through with the exception of shells.
Also those color pearl cakes are awesome.

I disagree with your comments about the less expensive assortments they’re not bad and. I have little kids that would like to see little fireworks and that’s great for you know little kids and something not so big.
I will be honest if it doesn't break I do not buy. unless I'm buying a few things for the children who are sensitive to loud noises
avoid assortments unless you just want fillers or stuff for the kids. its best to buy wholesale or build your own package deals assortments are fun but normally just filled with a couple good items and the rest is stuff they normally cant sell much of.

@@ikelps9632 you buy by the case or pallet for a discount. the place i buy from sells a case of 60gram can shells for 50-60% cheaper than if you bought 4 seperate boxes
@@nocturnalmayhem0 exactly. i like packages if i can get them cheap to play with during dusk to keep the kids occupied until its dark. My local place has a deal on 500g cakes. they have about 15 different cakes on the " deal" where you get 5 for $120 or 10 for $220. But these are all 500g cakes ranging from 7 - 40 shots. i combine those pick and choose deals with mortars and some smaller 100-300g cake deals

Nope. Most assortments are crap. I learned this when I was a kid saving my money for impressive looking assortments only to be disappointed. Only assortment I would buy are assorted 500 grams cakes with products I’m already familiar with like “Da Big Box of Bombs” assorted case. 😉

Assortments in California are overpriced and barely last 10 seconds luckily our neighboring States AZ And NV have better product in their Assortments.
