Thank you for the review. Trekking pole tents can be finicky, but two people working together can set them up quickly.
Start with staking out opposite corners. For example, one of you at the 10:00 corner and the other at 4:00. Pull snugly, but not too tight.
Next, pull the other two corners, 2:00 and 8:00, and these can be pulled tighter. Revisit the other two corners if needed.
Third, one person holds a trekking pole vertically in place, while the other person installs their pole and stakes out the flaps on that side.
Fourth, the second person holds their pole steady while the other stakes our their flaps.
Fifth, in the case of the Offset, one holds the pole for the head-end while the other installs the foot-end and stakes it off.
    Finally, stake off the head-end.

I really like it. Expensive but might be great for our Grand Canyon trip next year. I could fit myself and 2 boys no problem I think.

Ten years ago I bought a Stratospire 2 for a Grand Canyon trip with my son. I agree that the Offset Trio would be great for three kids.

    Very nice review!
Do you think this could sleep 2 adults comfortably with their packs?
Really like this tent, but want to make sure before making the purchase!

Great video! We were looking into maybe buying this tent. But like you said, it will be probably be too big for the backpacking trips we take. Looking forward to your other tent videos. We are still looking for the perfect three person tent. Greetings from The Netherlands. Deen & Alette Hikaholics

Thanks. Me too. I am liking the BA TigerWall 3 Carbon, but it is fragile and expensive. I tore the forst one up pretty good. I'm on my second one and have the first trip lined up in a month. Hopefully it survives.

My goodness guy, you managed to land on every one of my dream tent selections. I have the BA Carbon, Hyperlite and Trio saved on my menu tab. Out of the 3, if footprint size was no issue, which would you rely on for comfort, space and durability in turbulent weather? Better yet, society collapses and you're forced to flee on foot...which you taking?

HI, thanks for review and ideas for improvements. Did you measure inner usable length of this tent? I am 6 8 and I really consider this tent as one of the best currently on market for tall people. Thanks for review.

Have you tried the Tarptent Rainbow/Double Rainbow Li? Thats a great tent if you are tall. I am 6'3 and there is lots of space left!

Are you going to be hiking the same trails with the offset trio as you did with the hyper light? Because if so, I don’t understand how you’re going to make a bigger tent, fit better than a smaller tent on the same trail, but that’s just my thoughts

Noticed no Durston Gear X-Mids...You might like the Durston Gear X-Mid Pro series. Much simpler than the Zpacks or others we think

Durston makes great tents. I have not tried them. I like a lot of their features, but they do not make a 3P tent at all. Too bad.

Trekking pole tents are so meh... I'll take the extra .5lbs from a great carbon fiber pole setup any day. Especially on weird terrain.

I think I agree with you. I have been working hard to like them, but my wife hates them and refuses to set them up so it makes camp chores harder. I have used the BA Tiger Wall 3 for the last few adventures and love the simplicity of setup and generous size for two people with a pack weight of 1.75 pounds.

You said you'd post more about your array of tents though I don't see it in your lineup. What are you doing man get off that keyster and show and tell those instant houses you got there. Gotta be like 6 grand worth of tents right there, show some comparisons.
