The best way to make a review is with the help from somebody, don't show your office, for sample when you show the adapter MP-20, you are too far, show details not your room. You remind me when my teacher in grammar set me all the way in the back of the classroom. Besides that is a great video, I learned that I can't get this tripod in the US. Thanks for this informational video.
Hi Drake, I wish I had experience with that camera 😀 It would have no issues with the size or weight, this rig is solid. You can slide the main QR plate that comes with the video head, mine has about 35mm movement to the rear, if that is not enough you would need to drop a nodal slide in place. Cheers Dean
Yes you can level the base via the Bowl adaptor and then pan the shot. The quick release also lets you pull the camera rearwards to reach a nodal point.
@@deancooperphotography2896 I have been considering a similar setup for a while now but opting to go with the smaller VA-5 head instead. Do you know if the arm is detachable on that model too?!
Thank you for the excellent video. Is there a set of three section heavy duty legs with a center post in carbon fiber that I could substitute for the bowl type? I want a center post so that I can easily get small height adjustments when multiple people are glassing birds with high power binos mounted at standing eye height. I know the center post is a stability compromise. But, i really do need that for my use. I have a light tripod that I like very much for hiking and canoeing (Sirui ST-124 with Sirui VA-5 head). But I am looking for a heavier and more solid set up for my large spotting scope and bino glassing when I am not far from my vehicle and weight is not a big problem. I would plan on using that VH10X head. Tallest person is 6' so the tripod and head combo needs to be able to put the binos at eye level for someone 6' tall. The bino mounting device adds a couple of inches to the height. Also want heavier for digi scope use.
Hi Robert Those legs on The Beast, Sirui R-3213X actually come with a center pole. You can remove the 75mm bowl and use the included center pole. I'm away at the moment but from memory the center column is about 300-400mm in length. Cheers
@@deancooperphotography2896 Thanks - I am in the US. Adorama is telling me they have these legs but that they do not include a center pole and there is no compatible center pole available. Do you carry them? Do you know of a supplier that could sell a set with a center pole to the US?
@@robgerety Hi, I'm checking with the Australian distributor to see if the AU models are different. I did find this model on Adorama that looks similar and has the center pole. www.adorama.com/sisr3203.html Maybe check out the SR range and see if there is one the right size for you
@@deancooperphotography2896 yea, that is the one I saw too. When I inquired they told me the pictures are not accurate, there is no center post. I found a set of legs on ebay, (Induro CLT403 Classic Series 4), with three leg sections that is very beefy, and there is a center post - but no ability to convert to bowl. I may just go with that. Now the question is what head to go with. I have a small fluid head, (sirui VA-5) for my light weight travel tripod, but I am leaning toward a beefier fluid head, maybe the manfrotto 502AH for the heavy weight system. Is it overkill? I'll be using this as my "heavy" set up for a Kowa 883 spotting scope and maybe- down the road when I retire, for some amateur wildlife photography, iphone digi scope and camera/lens.
I bought this tripod with the same head in januari. Here in the Netherlands/Europe it comes with a centre pole plate (with centre pole) AND a ball bowl plate (without ball and handle) AND a simply flat plate for use the tripod as low as possible.
Yes they sure can. They unscrew, very easy to pull apart and clean. They are the same as the legs on the W2204, I did a maintenance video on that. ruclips.net/video/iCd7zUtgfLg/видео.html go to 00:45 Cheers

Would this setup work with the Sirui waterproof counterpart W-2204 tripod?
Thanks,

Unfortunately no, you need legs that will take a 75mm bowl
Good video. Any experience of working with a Fuji GFX 50s and this rig? Is it possible to to set nodal points with this head configuration? Thanks!

Hi Tray, sorry but at this stage I don't ship outside of Australia, you could purchase the 4 parts to The Beast via a US Sirui dealer. Cheers Dean
Spikes are good for the beach...
Yes great for sand, cheers
would the leveling ball work on a W-2004 ???
Hi, no it won't work on the W2004 as it has a std center column. You need a tripod like the RX series that take the 75mm bowl adaptor. Cheers Dean
