I am excited to one day enter the photography business, and as a novice, I need all the expert advice the internet can and is willing to offer. DPReview, you and your team are the best giving step by step instructions that not only meet one's buying expectations but surpass it. Thanks
Purchased the W 2204 on eBay for very good price. Put my Manfrotto fluid head on it and found i don't need to fully extended the last legs. NOTE one BIG issue - for some reason the feet screws are not a standard size - they are 10m with 1.0 threads !!! Yikes no standard spikes, claw feet etc will fit -EXTREMELY disappointed. Only the very small included spikes fit BUT i have found a importer that did provide 10mm 1.0 thread that work ! with longer SS feet that have removable rubber to expose spikes . so far excellent and with the longer feet i don't need to extend the last legs as long !
Nice video Niels, very informative from Mike. I also use Sirui P-224S Aluminum Monopod, and I am trying to buy a good tripod, Sirui brand, because I have the Sirui K-40X, beast of a ball head, which can easily take a good load. I can't afford Carbon Fiber, therefore, I have set my sights on W-2004 Aluminum tripod the one I can afford and plenty enough for the gear I have. My heaviest lens is Sigma 150-600mm C, and the camera is Canon 90D with battery grip. Just ask your friend what he thinks about that tripod.

Thank you!
As an enthusiastic photographer with a few years of experience, looking to buy a tripod for astrophotography and wildlife, I second that. Thank you!
I'm just getting back into photography, and you've convinced me to go for a Sirui rather than a Gitzo :) Thank you!
Great editing as usual my friend! I enjoyed the day, good to see it back online here!
Thanks mate, great times!
Nice video Niels!!!
I've got the Sirui T-2004XL and it's best gdamn tripod I've ever seen anywhere. Gets the job done perfect.
Which model is your tripod? The one you used in all your travels.
Hi, what tripod is Niels showing in the beginning of the video? (His old one)

Ik begrijp dat dat te zwaar is Bas! Een Carbon statief is wel fijn dan!
Goede keuze Bas. Mocht je advies nodig hebben of even willen brainstormen, je kan altijd even mailen of bellen met me.
@@mikemuizebelt Dank jullie wel voor je reactie.
Best:
SIRUI Traveler 7C
It´s robust and the perfect combination of weight and sturdiness.
I love it. And it´s cheap.
Why didn´t you mention it?
Because he's only showing tripods he owns and uses in his work.

Awesome video, thanks for the info. Just a quick question, what camera were you using to film Mike as he was talking about the tripods on the beach?
Sony A7III with ND filter 👌
What camera is this shot on?

Tenk joe! 🙏
Hij is tof mannen!
Thanks Remco!!
Great video, has really helped me more then any other video I’ve seen about picking a tripod.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
A Sirui brand ambassador calling the Sirui PH-10 a “Wimberley PH-10”. That’s a shame lol.
"Size does matter." That's what she said.
Heerlijk dat nederlands engels
Steenkolen English 😎🙏
