Cameron not only showed off his strength, he also demonstrated his gardening knowledge. (And he's handsome, if I may say so.) I've been a backyard gardener all my life so I was drooling over the beautiful selection of plants, how many you bought 😲, the machinery, and the help. So nice. I bet your neighbors will be impressed!
I really enjoyed this. I get a rush of joy bringing home a measly 2 plants at a time from the garden center. Watching a whole forest unboxing was amazing! :)
Hiya Dan 🙋🏻♀️ 👋👋👋 et al Many Congratulations viewers on achieving a stunning £30k for Movember.. 👏👏👏 it musta been Nick's 'pirate' beard that swung it! Well Done lads 👏👏👏👏👍♥️🐶🐾🐶🐾
Wow! And a nice interlude from the rebuild - you looked like you could do with a rest last time you were up the scaffold! And a change is as good as a rest!
That’s one of the questions that runs through my mind on watching these videos. How does Dan afford these very expensive items and to do all this? Thanks Marie for a solution to my question
Leaving a comment and watching the ads or at least part of the ad if it is a long one and you don’t want to watch all of it. These two things help him financially as well. Just fyi.
Wow!! You really did have a forest delivered. I just want to take a minute to appreciate the fact that a big truck like that was able to drive, right up the driveway you guys cleared and built, all the way to the front of the chateau. That was an impressive sight before I even saw inside the truck. There was a time, not that long ago, that getting that truck to the front of the chateau would have been impossible.
Wow! When you said large truck load of trees, you meant EXTRA HUGE TRUCK with a HUGE load of MASSIVE trees and an unimaginable amount of large trees and plants! It is going to be a most beautiful woodland garden! I am so excited to see it all in the ground and thriving. Well done team! See ya tomorrow Dan👋🏻👋🏻
Bonsoir les forestiers. Vous avez beaucoup de "pains sur la planche"! De pins, de sapins, d'épicéas aussi ! Il manque quelques sequoias je pense 😀! Et que Mère Nature leur prête une longue vie.
Really great video… I’ve enjoyed all your videos but you look very happy today. How can a truck load of trees and bushes NOT bring the biggest smile to your face. This is the true meaning of INSTANT IMPACT. Thank you so much for sharing and happy planting!
Congrats on your movember fund raising Dan. And as for today's post, ye gads! First off a forest on wheels, then a forest on legs...the grounds are going to look magnificent. Well Done foresters times three plus supervisory dogs.
Dan (and company) is so wise to start the serious landscaping now. He is aware, as a gardener, how important it is to establish the greenscape to embellish the chateau and its grounds. Otherwise he would be dealing with what is essentially going to be a building site for quite some time to come. This estate is going to be so beautiful when all is said and done. I have to admit when he started this project, I thought he was absolutely bonkers. It he has gone on to show what hard work, determination and a vision will achieve. I always look forward to his videos. I also enjoy watching the pups taking on a supervisory capacity.
Woohoo! Big big day, Dan! Phenomenal progress today, and what excitement planting all these wonderful lives!! Watching the first new growth on each one! I am thoroughly excited to see your vision revealed! Well done, boys 👍 🌳 🌳 🌳 🌱!
I would compare him to the legendary American, Paul Bunyon. Tall and mighty lumberjack. So great to see the plantings. Can't wait for the drone videos.
We’re all, I’m sure, looking forward to what this will look like even just all laid out..and then planted! Much more than just a 10 minute job. Good luck with it, Dan and team.
Dan I don’t make many comments because everyone else seems to make them first but I’m really impressed with the lads working with you I don’t know the relationship you have but it’s golden well done all of you
You must all be feeling like the kids get at Christmas time. So glad the new plants arrived as planned and you can now get them planted. Have fun with the garden's new beginnings.
That drone footage at the end and seeing all the trees and plants delivered and on the ground made me feel emotional. You have come so far Dan. To think that that place is going to be your home and it's going to keep you busy daily for the rest of your life with the day to day running of the place. Your boys will have a great home to grow up in. Whow. You are awesome. The Lord has blessed you with great helpers like Nick and Cameron. Enjoy every moment of planting your garden. Hope the weather holds.
👏👏👏🙏 I am so incredibly amazed and ... proud? ... of you, your friends and all you've accomplished so far. It's absolutely incredible. Be safe, stay hydrated, and know that we're all rooting (😏 😉) for you - and your new plants. 🕊✌️🦋🇺🇸
Hello from PEI Canada. Save the black plastic pots that the trees arrived in. Rinse them out and donate to a school for the children to plant seeds in at spring time.
It will be exciting watching these grow as you work on the chateau. The plants will make the chateau more grounded, can’t wait for a couple of years down the track to see what it all looks like. 👏👏👏 fantastic idea to get these in the ground. Congrats. On your mighty efforts for Movember, loved the coloured beards
You three chaps are just incredible! 👏🏻💪🏻 And I just want to give a shout-out to you PATRONS. It struck me today, more than ever before, as I watched this epic delivery of trees which would not have been cheap, just how much your support makes things possible for Dan. So, THANK YOU 🙏🏻 Love, Jacqueline from New Zealand
What a spectacular day. The dream team at work doing amazing things. The drone fly by was brilliant but also exposed the precarious parts of the house at the top. What a joy to follow and that's why it's the best château build on YT.
I imagine he'll light his Pond and River, from below, as well as above the surface. Fairy lights ? (But of course !!) We have not yet begun to ooh and ahh. (not too patiently waiting for the roof)
You’re not the only one who got trees today, my sweet sister had me a beautiful Christmas tree in a pot. God love her. I need nothing at my time of life but she knows I love my garden. I can imagine how pleased you are being a gardner having that lot delivered today. Enjoy🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲
A forest indeed. Can't wait to see the beautiful result. You've got another two trees on the top of the chateau!! Thought they'd all been removed. Hee hee! The three of you make the best team possible for creating an oasis. Hope you're protecting your backs through this. Take care! The dogs make great supervisors.
Oh, man, was that fun to watch! As a professional gardener here in Canada, there's nothing more exciting than a truckload of new plants and trees, full of potential and beauty. That looked like a hell of a job, getting everything unloaded - i was so impressed that you had the energy after all that to tackle planting some of it straight away. (To be fair, a fresh load of plants is pretty energizing). Thrilled for you to see this big step - can't wait for the perennials in the spring! Cam looked like he'd stepped straight out of vintage footage of a soldier in the 1930's in his wool trench coat and boots.
When we restored our house I worked on the garden during the whole process and ended up planting 120 trees and shrubs in all along with 55 rose bushes and trees. As if restoring the house wasn't hard enough ! After just ten years it looked wonderful, as if it had always been like that. The prettiest area was a small birch wood that I designed along one side of the property, the bark is so beautiful. Well Dan you have done it again, it must be so nice to have such great help. xoxoxo
Wauw! And deliverd by a Dutchy! Big trees and plants and Cameron is a strong man! Movember almost over now, so no more blue red and green beards. Love Nicks beard!💋
Cameron is a gem but you all work hard and as a team .The planting is going to look amazing and in the spring it will look wonderful.Good work Dan,Nick, and Cameron, and the pups too .
Don't delay too much getting those in the ground. I delayed planting my owner privacy row in my back yard this summer and my trees struggled being in their temporary pots that long in those weather conditions. I live for landscaping. Your project is exciting to watch!
I’m so hooked on this project! From the great guys at work, to the fantastic camera work and editing, to the pleasure of watching it transform bit by bit, or occasionally in leaps like today. Every day I look forward to seeing what Dan and the guys are up to. Much, much better alternative to the news. Holiday cheers to you guys from the Ozark mountains of Arkansas, USA!
Wow, it’s going to look amazing. Such a smart move doing in now. I adore silver birch, especially in mass planting. Looking forward to seeing those established. Nick needs to keep the pirate beard going for a while, love it. Btw, Congrats on getting to the 30,000 and beyond. ❤
One of the things that makes a person feel uplifted and one with nature is planting green and growing plants and the accompanying smell of freshly tilled soil. The anticipation of their future beauty in all seasons is a bonus. I was smiling the whole video and caught myself a couple times breathing deeply , as though I could take in the scents as well as the sights and sounds. Thank you all.
The symbolism of yew tree represents resurrection. From The Green Man Oracle Tree, “The perseverance associated with the yew is that all life, which continues in the face of overwhelming odds, and grow stronger because of it.” Perfect choice of tree. It’s also related to the winter solstice so perfect planting time as well. Amazing!!
Wow the shrubs are perfect for the setting and will blend in beautifully, by the time the chateau is livable they will have matured and will complete it.
Nick and Cameron are such a blessing. They truly are hard working men and know the best trees for the area. After all, Nick is a professional "tree man." 🌳 🌳Those are some amazing looking plants too.🪴
Trying to ascertain who is who? I think the one with mostly black other hind quarters is Anna since she is more playful and rambunctious, like the character in the movie. Thoughts?
The old trees will whisper to the young tree’s, ‘Welcome Home’. It will be their first words and ones they will repeat to you as they grow. Well done.❤
Dan is very generous to provide that privacy hedge. It shields the neighbors from any bright lights coming from the Chateau. Also provides a nice backdrop for upcoming filming. Very considerate indeed. Many reasons for this that some people don’t think about. Good saying: “Always look at the bigger picture.”
Watching from the US, but i grew up in France, what you're doing is amazing! During school breaks we went to visit chateaux and the gardens were beautiful. It's wonderful to think of all those trees growing on your property now. The footage from the drone is so pretty. A big big thank you for all the work you and your friends are putting into this.
My first comment, I've been binge watching your old episodes over the past few days. Outstanding project, gorgeous, outstanding, place. Clearly, you are making it a labour of love now. I just wanted to say you have stunning foliage here, instantly in love as I watched them being taken out of the truck. I so, so, hope they have survived and are thriving. Warmest Wishes from Canada. Out.
Cameron is a hard worker. You all are, but he deserves a shout out today.
Cameron's strength and work ethic are truly outstanding. Loved the trenchcoat! HugZ
Cameron not only showed off his strength, he also demonstrated his gardening knowledge. (And he's handsome, if I may say so.) I've been a backyard gardener all my life so I was drooling over the beautiful selection of plants, how many you bought 😲, the machinery, and the help. So nice. You weren't kidding when you said there would be lots of trees..... And they'd be Big,! Marvelous.
You must be a mind reader because I was thinking the exact same thing.
Cameron is hardworking! And nice to look at 😊 great job guys.
Imagine being a dutchman, living in the US, watching a Brit restoring a chateau in France, receiving a load of trees from the Netherlands....😄
I also live in france and get all my plants online from the netherlands.. good quality and half the price.. 😁
God bless , I agree its quite a head function.
I wonder if they ship worldwide ?
As a Belgian living in California I approve your message.

It must have smelled insanely wonderful inside that truck... can almost smell it myself through the screen. 🌲🌳 Such greenery. It's gonna be beautiful.
The Grand Lady Chateau is now smiling at her new green dress brought to her by Mother Nature and The Dan Gang. 🌿👍

You weren't kidding! A whole forest was on that truck. Going to be beautiful. Your dogs are excited, too. They love their life! 🐕
...And they're not even boys !!
Are these Plants going to survive ?
@@gordonnadolniI mean, Dan is a gardener as far as I know. So I'd trust him on knowing what he's doing with them.
Wow! And a nice interlude from the rebuild - you looked like you could do with a rest last time you were up the scaffold! And a change is as good as a rest!
Your great grandchildren are going to look at the mature garden and recognise you as men of great vision. What a legacy.❤
In a normal world yes, but during our lifetime everything we own will be nationalized, globalism is coming and we can't avoid it.
Yes hard work ahead planting but a big thank you to all the viewers of Dans channel this is what your viewing has bought for the chateau ❤.👏
