  • Richard Simmons told his fans, “I’m not going anywhere” in a message just two weeks before he was found dead in his L.A. home at 76. Now, the mysterious last days of the fitness guru’s life are coming into focus, as we learn what may have caused him to vanish from the public eye ten years ago. TMZ reports that the night before his death, Richard fell in his bathroom. His housekeeper urged him to see a doctor, but he apparently refused. He was found dead next to his bed the following morning.

However, I think we can all sense that he was a kind and loving person who genuinely wanted to take people's pain away by helping them to lose weight and to grasp life by being active probably because he knew what it was life to be the opposite of this.

I got invited to one of his classes when I lived in L.A. but was too shy to go. I’d heard some of the stories about his big heart 💜 towards helping others. Even that he wanted to be a doctor (he WAS a doctor of the heart …but always strove for more, I guess). He was a big gift 💝, a big help, a big saving grace . Richard was the court jester 1:39 because that was his true escape. It's easier to make fun of yourself and make others feel happy than when comments come from others. That way, you feel good by making others laugh, and you already made a joke of yourself, so nobody else has to. It's sad he felt like that. I've been through it as well and still fight it
