      You should listen to it during the introduction of the players before the game. Back then we had the best introduction of players by Mason in the entire NBA 🔥🔥🔥

    Notice how Ben started the game with a dunks and layups the 1st 5 mins of the game, that's how you get into your rhythm to shoot jumpers.

    The biggest difference between Larry and Flip, right here. LB ran plays for Ben, included him in the offense. For all his quirks, those Pistons loved LB.

    I love how much Blaha and Laimbeer are excited to see Ben Wallace go off (at least by his standards). Ben was such a fun player to watch and was just about the easiest guy ever to root for. One of the great ones.

    When you were looking at Ben Wallace you were "Looking at the Man!" From 2001 through 2006 I bought NBA League Pass almost solely to watch what Big Ben brought to the hardwood each and every night. Nobody outworked Big Ben, and I mean nobody!

    I mean wow for a Center position his form for jump shots was amazing on a lot of those FG he could of stepped back 5 feet & hit straight 3’s no problem.

      Listed at 6"9. He admitted he's closer to 6"7. Before his jersey retirement ceremony at the Palace last year, Rip Hamilton said the 2 of them were about the same height. And Rip is 6"6-6"7.

    The league hated the Pistons. Should have 5 titles, stole 1 with the phantom foul in 88 and Tim Donaghy (cheating ref) admitted he threw the 2005 championship series.

    If Ben Wallace played in the 60s ( an era before the 3 point line) for a storied franchise under a great coach
    He'd probably win 10 + championships and average 17ppg and 25rpg with Lord knows how many blocks/ steals.

    I remember watching the '05 Finals Game 7 as a kid. Ben played exceptionally well offensively, especially considering the game was a defensive grind on both sides. He was tied in field goals made with Rip that game (but shot at a way higher clip of 60%). Feel like he could've been a way more significant offensive presence in his game if it was developed properly.

    It was a big game too, which makes it even better. Imagine if Ben had an accurate jumper every night - the Pistons were winning even with their opponents being able to leave him open at range, so imagine how many points they'd have had all season if teams were forced to spread out and actually guard him from midrange.

    Fan base abandoned Ben after Flip took over as coach a few seasons later. When Flip said Ben couldn't get touches anymore, fans agreed. I was glad when he left. Let the man get a few. Flip was awful for this team.

      Yeah, I wonder if leaning back and fading a tad helps with his shooting arc. Just a guess? I used to have a better shot sometimes when I did that as well for some reason.

      Ben was a too strong on shooting in his first few years, he developed that little fade to soften the shot to allow for a better chance of a soft bounce on the rim.
