  • Luke Winslow-King is a career rock & roll guitarist, singer, producer, and songwriter. Having spent more than 15 years in New Orleans, he was named "Best Blues Artist" by Gambit Magazine. His 2018 hit, "I'm Glad Trouble Don't Last Always" reached the Billboard Top 10 blues albums, and is nearing 10 million streams on Spotify. The Luke Winslow-King Band features Tuscan slide guitar maestro, Roberto Luti. With his unorthodox, angular, and evocative slide guitar style, Luti made a name for himself during his nearly decade-long residency in New Orleans. He became an integral part of international recording project Playing For Change; laying the original tracks for songs which have accumulated over 100 million plays on RUclips collaborating with: Taj Mahal, Keb Mo, Buddy Guy, Keith Richards, Ringo Starr, and Dr. John.
In this episode, the two of them discuss their backgrounds, the collaborative nature of the Americana Song Academy, and perform their new tune, "If I Were You". Enjoy!
