I'm so old that I used to listen to these two when they were young men, now they're my age when I first started listening to them, what a short movie it's been!
@tonyb1063 One of my friends from the old neighborhood went to see Taj at the House of Blues in Orlando a few years back. Paul paid extra for the Meet and Greet. When he got to meet Taj, Paul explained that he was one of her Kindergarteners (we were in class together). Taj stood up and gave him a hug. He told Paul how much his mom talked about her kids and the old neighborhood. She taught K and 1st for over 30 years. I'm 67 today, and actually still have friends from Nursery school.
To those who Thumb Down on this masterpiece, I feel so sorry for you all, how can you not see the beauty, it's right in front of you. God Bless you all.
@FreeBornMan 1953 What an utter snob you are, with your over inflated sense of superiority. I mean who gives a shit what anyone else thinks, do you enjoy it or don't you, that's all that matters, no? No not for you, you'v got to feel rage at and look down on anyone who disagrees with you. Pompass fool
@FreeBornMan 1953 Thanks, I'll gladly take pack the pompass fool bit 😉. I've heard a lot of music that I think is crappy in one way or another, but really, what would that matter to someone else that enjoys it? Taste is subjective, I love mine, and can only hope you enjoy yours just as much. ✊🙏🙏
Me too I picked up my guitar and started playing this song and it always makes me cry very heartfelt it’s really about the love of your life which is my wife I’m blessed
no one I know thinks anything like under anything.. he's fukin awesome... got something to say.. another friend pointed out that we have two ears... so we can hear what people have to say 🤔 which is exactly why he's in such good company.. you can tell the caliber of a man by the friends who choose him... and, that line from another song...you can do what you want to do, as long as you do what you say you're going to the only measure of a man
For people disliking this...Well you can't blame those whose lives have been too perfect so far to know any blues. But don't worry. Blues chases everyone and never loses. They gonna get cought one day by em blues and come back here to like this.
When I listen to these 2 veterans I think: these guys are hitting the essence of the Blues which ain't about only technique but about respect for tradition and feeling, simply great heartfelt Blues.
@Gun Man I agree 4000% with you, there are many very technicall players and suddenly I have to think on a statement of our national blues singer Harry Muskee who died a few years ago. His words where: I'm listening to an empty egg shell.
@@elizabethdevries8028 Elizabeth, I grew up with the Blues and became part of my life, I'm a musician myself and know what it means to grow and nourture a blues jazz style. Keep well in these difficult times.
you know the standard answer would be „ they didn’t find their glasses to hit the right button and had no batteries available for their hearing aids“ but maybe they’re just plain unmusical maybe good at something else 😜
One of these rare combination of an old classic performed perfectly by two of the best bluesmen ever to pick a guitar in such a crystal clear recording that also captures the squeaky chair to complete the mood. ❤
Yes, as i read the comments ppl always try to fit things in boxes and has to have a description for every piece of music, but some pieces can't be transcribed by words and notation or tablature. It whats in the middle that counts
Having seen and loved Taj Mahal in concert numerous times in the late 60's and early 70's in SoCal , I was very pleased to find Keb Mo on Bonnie Raitt's "Friends" live CD , years ago!....I've always felt Keb Mo was Taj Mahal's rightful successor! Absolutely stunning music from BOTH of them....and now together!
2017? I guess I'm kind of late, at least I eventually made it. There is something about country blues that can make you cry and make you laugh all at the same time. What a joy to hear two great blues men play some traditional blues as only they can. I've got to run now and hear some more of these fine musicians.
So good to hear & see Taj..brings memories @ 1976 @ Biddy Mulligans in Chicago..Leonard Nemoy a Serious Blues Lover & I shared a Pint of beer sitting in the front row..Taj & I went in the back lot fired up a joint..He still sounds like good majic..So thankful to hear him again today...
Why do i have tears in my eye s, and my feet, are start to tap, and i have a very big smile on my face? O yaaaaa....it s THE TAJ MAN....and......KEB MO..............
Well now, if this doesn't put a smile on your face, I feel sorry for you. This is just what our world needs now, pure joy! Watched the 2 of these guys on youtube last night, the music just makes you happy. Now, I'm going to get my guitar and try a couple of these gems.
I feel fortunate to have seen both of these men several times..Saw Taj at a small theater in Capitola California, nice acoustics,Taj told several stories about his life and some of the songs he sang. Saw Keb Mo at a great outdoor venue,The Saratoga Mountain.Winery, wonderful set...Seeing /hearing them play together seems like a natural fit.
My band was opening a blues fest 3 years ago where Taj was the headliner. He had to cancel for health reasons, dashing my hopes to meet him in person (seen him twice live). So glad to see him still kicking and making great music.
I just discovered Keb Mo. My wife turned me onto him knowing that I am a blues man. Actually I am at home on a Wednesday because of my knees. I missed work and discovered great music!
Taj got to tell you ... I’ve followed you since your first album ( I’m middle sixties now ). Major highway accident prevented us from attending your show years ago (we survived) but I have felt your magic (kalimba) in Montreal) Keb ... holy shit ... my son ... from Kinshasa ... long story ... we love you,! Saw you in Victoria (and Taj too). Just want to sayThank You! You are both an inspiration to us
There the real deal. They keep the craft of traditional blues alive and all the great souls that invented this masterful simplicity of emotion.
THEY'RE the real deal over THERE with THEIR music. The grammar and spelling nazi strikes again.
I'm so old that I used to listen to these two when they were young men, now they're my age when I first started listening to them, what a short movie it's been!
Ha. I feel your (and mine) pain.
Right on friend. Life is short brother . . . . . .
Hope its been a good one brother
The road could have been better, but at least now - in return - we start to understand the meaning and the real value of it.
💗💜💗
just saw Taj in September and at 81 he's still got it. he's gotta get in the rock and roll hall of fame
F the rock and roll Hall of Fame

The blues to me, come from broken hearts, but leave me with a smile.
Keb Mo has one of the most underrated voices . His voice is blues, soul,r&b and gospel all wrapped into one .
100% this ☝☝☝☝☝☝

"You got to do another" … and he did, and the goosebumps when up my spine, and my heart burst open, knocked me on my knees, man. Good god almighty...
Lmao !
Taj Mahal and Keb Mo - honest, feel-it crispy tight blues by two of the greatest blues musicians that have walked the face of the earth.
Who were the nearly 100 people who gave a thumbs down to these legendary musicians? Some people got no sense at all.

Either one of these two alone is outstanding. But any time they are together. It's out of this world. Thanks guys.
Taj looking like he spent the afternoon with Ernest Hemingway lol And OMG Keb Mo's singing and playing just changed my life. Omg Thank you
It doesn’t get any better than this, outstanding 👍
The best...I needed this.
Can't get enough.
These guys are so complementary. I've been listening to both of them separately for decades and hearing them together is just so right!
Two thumbs WAY up there.
"Oh you can't get away with one man, you got to do another". Any better words ever spoken?
This song making me crying a good lonely cry now. But I am going to keep listening.
Sad, but so so beautiful.

Very very nice guys. Thanks!
This was delightful
I WAS CRUSHED, THEN LISTENED TO THIS. I FELT IT. I REALLY REALLY FELT IT. DAMN.
I've seen both of these giants in very small settings. Both of these men we're so appreciative of the fans. Makes them both stand even taller.
At the end of the day it‘s the Blues that lectures you that eventually when you die at least you feasted on every single note of pain from it.
