    In this video, I carried out a basic maintenance wash - wheels cleaned, pre-rinse, pre-wash and 2 bucket, multi-mitt safe wash - with no other finishing products or top ups used. I then dried the vehicle off, dressed the tyres and inspected the results. See below for full list of products used and, more importantly, enjoy the video...

    Don't ever apologise for saying you don't like a product if it's true. People like us rely on RUclipsrs like you to tell us the truth so we can spend our hard earned cash appropriately. If you have spent cash on a product, or indeed been gifted a product by a supplier or manufacturer and don't think it cuts the mustard, then your honest opinion helps the rest of us avoid making the same "mistakes."

      Hi Chris. Thank you for the subscription and for commenting, it is very much appreciated when people take the time to comment and yes, I will always be honest in my appraisals, regardless of whether I bought products or received them as a 'gift'
      I'm currently using 2 towels regularly and I've included a link below for each - for the record, I have no affiliation with this particular store, this is just where I buy the majority of my products, the same items are available elsewhere 👍🏼😁. I have another older towel which I still use specifically for the Mini in the Bilt Hamber videos, the Liquid Elements Silver back XL I believe it's called, which I purchased on amazon - the reason I keep this for that specific purpose is the fact I would occasionally use Bilt Hamber Auto QD (watered down) as a drying aid and I don't want to potentially contaminate my other towels. I hope this info helps, apologies for waffling on!

  • @DjNikGnashers
    @DjNikGnashers 6 месяцев назад +2

    Thank you for the video, interesting.
    I'd like to just make one point though.
    You say pre rinsing the dust off first is a good idea. Unfortunately this has been proven on many detailing channels to be a bad idea.
    If the car is really grimy and you are using a pre wash, like a citrus degreasing pre wash, or even an acidic traffic film remover, these work best when applied directly onto the dirt. Even if you are simply snow foaming, again, snow foam works best when applied directly to a dry dirty car.
    So many detailing channels have done comparison tests between pre jet washing the worst off, and than applying products, or just applying product on a dry car, and every single time the product on a dry car has removed more of the dirt and grime.
    Pre rinsing just creates a water layer which stops the chemical being as effective, and basically waters it down. A good cleaning product will dissolve the dirt, and does not work as well if it has been watered down with a layer of pre rinse water.
    As a hobby detailer myself, and previously rinsed the worst off thinking it was obviously the best way, I learned and tried the product on a dirty car method, and it is absolutely true, it works better.
    This car wasn't even that dirty to be honest.
    I use Bilt Hamber auto foam, it has a PH of 12 (touchless has a PH of 11), so both work due to their alkaline content, so putting those on a layer of water weakens them and reduces the PH to nearer 7 (water). And rinsing snow foam from the bottom upwards, oh dear, I see you have been watching too many bro science detailing videos.
    That Meguiars looks to be pretty much done. Soft99 Fusso coat still has very good beading after 4 months, and I wash my car every week.

      As for rinsing from the bottom, I responded to you yesterday on another of my videos (the BH Double Speed Wax one if I remember correctly) explaining that it's a personal preference and nobody can prove either way is better - we all just do what works for us 👍🏼
