So I dropped the title of this conversation series (Dear Tokyo Ghoul: Re). *WHO OR WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO TALK ABOUT NEXT, TELL ME RIGHT NOW CHIEF* love you.
Juuzou. I could make a 10 minute PowerPoint presentation about how he was very underestimated by like most everyone, and how if you think hes not as impressive as Arima, you're wrong. I haven't figured out how to use this for something constructive. but man it makes me mad when people downplay him.
Juuzou should really get some love because people constantly downplay him and think he’s only there to be cool and have a replacement for Arima While “he is in no way as strong as Arima.” If not that Yomo and Uta really deserve a video after the anticlimactic fight at the end of TG:Re
Actually I was thinking the same thing about hide I thought that he was supposed to be a stereotypical guy who s friend of the shy protagonist tho in the end he remained a stereotype and I'm sad about it
I was really dissapinted with all three, especially Yoshimura. He was an important charcter in the first part, but what happened to him during Re? I know he was taken by Aogiri Tree and was left in bad state. He was hardly mentioned. It made me sad.
to say Yoshimura is a wasted potential is like saying arata is a wasted potential, these two were very important characters, and were major keys to in Tokyo Ghoul world, and heavily influenced CCG and Kaneki especially when he gone mad (further more they served him as a guide in OEK and Black Reaper personality). also they gave more reason to show how cruel and intimidating Arima is, and Eto were never a wasted character, hell she had a happy ending. what I would call a wasted character is Tatara and Shinohara, wasted for the plot probably, even Yomo that barely shows had a better character.
I wish Amon had more room to grow. I liked his character and then when he came back in the story I was happy. He isn't an asshole like other CCG ppl but he cares about humans and ghouls.
I wanted to see Amon in a crisis like Kaneki or Takizawa when they became ghouls. Amon just came back in the story as a ghoul like nothing happened. His ideals as a ghoul are almost the same as they were as a human. I was disappointed.
Ah! This vid was on point. Literally everything you said was what I was thinking. Really disappointed that Ishida didn't play more into his character since he was one of the very few characters that had a strong sense of justice to wanting to protect humans. He was just not relevant in :Re sadly, his ideals were one of his best qualities and were one of the strongest in the whole franchise. It was unique compared to all the other characters. And I also agree with the fact that his RC count was the highest from all the ghouls, even surpassing Takizawa whom was also known as one of the higher RC counted ghouls. - Though Takizawa had a bit more screen time than Amon, I feel as if his character's 'conclusion' was inconclusive as well. We never did get a proper reunion with Akira and Takizawa after the CCG Lab Raid. - Then we have Uta...whom was supposedly suppose hinted to be the original OEK. - And the whole Clown Organization was just blown over just like V. - Then we have the Yoshimura's (both Kuzen and Eto) whom were just put on the back burner with no explanation if they were dead or alive after their last appearances. Kuzen especially...since he played a huge role in Kaneki's life in the first series. He was sorta like a dad to Kaneki in a way, whom was guiding him through the ghoul world. A lot of missed potential on many characters that we will never get to see or get answers from. But anyway, great video dude! Keep it up.
6:39 When you see the fight of Donato vs Kuki Urie, Sui gives us the fight of Urie's father vs Donato when he captured him; there is a panel of Donato when he was handcuffed showing worry about Amon saying his name in his mind. This is the only pillar if you will for the emotional outbreak of Donato.

I watched the anime to start and since I've started to read the manga. at this point I'm on chapter 62 and to be honest whilst reading, i follow it along in my mind with the anime. i find that i cant really find a lot of details missed out. sure there are missing scenes but to the extent that considering "the characters aren't what they are in the manga" or "Its a completely different story disrespecting Ishida's work" is a bit far. sure the anime is different and doesn't have everything but i don't think it should be shut down as much as it is. Secondly as stated in my first 3 sentences i feel like i might've missed some important details. could anybody give me some small details i may have missed whilst reading to enrich my experience, id really appreciate it! things like key character characteristics and character development etc :)
Recently the anime finished and i read the manga, then i discovered your channel. I like your videos, and on many points i agree, but Tokyo Ghoul as a whole is still one of my favorite manga/anime. Pretty much every anime has plotholes or cliffhangers so i did not expect it to finish as i wanted from the start. I would have probably disliked it if everything was as i expected.
@dresrosa Also I always thought the characters were dumb. If I was a mad ghoul who gives shit bout morality (like takizawa and such) and I had to fight a big battle I would have killed a random human and torn him apart then putted him in a backpack and when needed I would have picked something from the bag and eat when I was down in stamina or RC if I was wounded. Obviusly against the fastest enemies like Arima I would take a rest by escaping on a safe zones or just leave because they most likely wouldn't allow me to eat if I was getting shit on. Like... any ghoul thought a thing like that in the series. Ghouls are stronger then a normal human so the weight isn't a factor... no ghoul has ever brought food into battle wich for me is pretty dumb. Also we don't see much of normal police or army if not on the dragon arc were they fucking use tanks and helicopters. If I was a mad ghoul I would have robbed banks and shit because ghouls are immune to normal bullets and guns cuz of their skin...
I don't get why people hate Mutuski, she is just a white hair Kaneki in re. but for Amon it's quiet reasonable since he likely disappeared, it would be amazing if he stood against clowns siege instead of CCG like a ba- uhm an owl man and get captured by V instead of Quinx but whatever.

I wanted to know more about the nutcracker, she's one of my favorite characters
I miss TG.re
I can describe anything that happens after Kaneki is first captured as "wasted potential"
Great vid dog
Takizawa analysis vid.
pls
Yes i want it so bad
And Sub-Zero "Kuai Liang" said he has wasted potential on Frost
Does everyone forget the writer literally stopped caring about the series so rushed it
I was ok with what they did with amon killing the priest
Talk about Kuzen next! I feel like they did him dirty.
Lmao that thumbnail though
Whats the first song in the video called?
the fact amon (my favorite character) got fucked over made me mad
Recently the anime finished and i read the manga, then i discovered your channel. I like your videos, and on many points i agree, but Tokyo Ghoul as a whole is still one of my favorite manga/anime. Pretty much every anime has plotholes or cliffhangers so i did not expect it to finish as i wanted from the start. I would have probably disliked it if everything was as i expected.
breh the genius that is sui dying while making tg re and tg re still a master piece amon is not the mc kaneki is de big boi in this anime
If I was a mad ghoul I would have robbed banks and shit because ghouls are immune to normal bullets and guns cuz of their skin...
dont even want to watch the vid when i see that video
New episode is out
Me too bro
Kaneki should stay as Kuroi no Shinigami , the best kaneki as far as i’ve seen , he’s cold , responsible , and OP for some reason.
ye I totally agree he was the most effective in that state. that should've been final kaneki
In fact i hate amon and matsuki
If I may ask, why don't you like Amon and Mutsuki? I don't really like them either, but I was wondering what your reasons were.
