ha ha ha , i was a prawn fisherman for 48 years , after water came back to boil i count to 30 and remove from water , prawn have only small air bubble in shell to show it's cooked , not full shell bubble like your baddly over cooked prawn , total cooking time from add prawn to water and remove was about 3 to 3 1/2 minutes , then place in cold water .
Yes, most likely you are right if it is a freshly caught small shrimp, in my view we are talking about frozen large shrimp in a shell (not peeled). Again, I cook as written in most cookbooks. But yes, if a small shrimp (and this video is not about a small shrimp) then you need to cook less time, otherwise the shrimp meat will become tough, but again this is a matter of taste, someone may quite like it when the shrimp meat is tough. So you can cook any time you think is right.

No as you cook to long and prawn is tough like a old boot . Unless you like eat boots
