This is absolutely unbelievable. It's hard to believe a sound that beautiful can come out of a synth in this price range.
To be fair, the pedal he’s using costs nearly as much as the synth itself.
Price means absolutely nothing. Just synthesizer programming skills is all it takes.
You can use a zoom CDR then get a beautiful sound as well for a third of what the avalanche run costs
@@BeatTheLentil I havre them both. The Microfreal alone is already amazing.
I've had this little synth sitting around for several years and I've used it very seldomly, mainly because keys take some getting used to. Lately, due to budget constraints and my desire for a good polysynth, I've decided to explore it more deeply and this video is super helpful. You laid it out step by step and I was able to easily recreate your patch and then start changing each value to create a broad range of sounds. The mod matrix, which is the main tool for developing interesting patches, has been a little bit elusive but what you did here was simple and effective. It's a great sounding synthesizer at any price. Thanks for the lesson.
I love how gentle you are in your composing…
So inspiring!! The Microfreak keeps impressing me at every turn, and your use of it along with a subtle touch of reverb and delay.. absolutely gorgeous! Thank you so much!
This is fantastic, thank you for sharing
This is beautiful! Thank you for sharing this.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wonderful sounds! Love the warmth of this combination! :) thanks a lot for sharing.

Great ambient track. Thank you for explaining.. Greetz from Belgium
Great tutorial
Thank you so much for sharing. You Rock!
Thanks for the inspiration!
This is awesome! Thankyou for sharing and helping me love my instrument more 😊
You're so welcome!
That’s actually really good!! I’m sort of stuck with the two operator FM waveform, as it doesn’t really add up in my understanding of FM. Still very cool, I guess I’m thinking it ought to have a secondary layer for modulating it’s carrier? Really great turorial!! THANK YOU!! This patch here led me on to trying the second envelope as an actual second envelope and routing it through to some of the timing parameters on the arpeggiator and the timbre knob, very cool!! KEEP IT UP!!
Beautiful!
Thank you!
Thanks so much. Wonderful patch.
You're welcome!
Thanks! Very nice :-) I almost gave up on my Microfreak, but now it is back in the game.
we love to see it!
Awesome thank you
Thank you for sharing!
Of course!
amazing... thanks for making this
Glad you liked it!
I just had my first "whoa" experience following your example when I started jamming along with the sequence one octave higher. Nice tutorial!
Rock on!
This was great!!
Thank you and thanks for watching!
Just got this in the mail! My first synth. I’m thinking my next synth is gonna be a korg minilouge
Great patch! 😉👍
Thanks! 😀
such a good video
i love this
Mans got crazy ASMR voice going.
Can you explain the part after you hit random, I can't see the screen with the settings (rate, and step) and my loop only plays back partially, or not like yours!
Mine is on the way. Why do you think the Zoom CDR is often paired with this?
This pedal seems to be the Avalanche Run by Earthquaker Devices but i can't find it with that graphic. Is this custom?
where is the link to full song?
Use a very good delay and reverb pedal, seems straight forward ha!
niceee
🙌
instant Selected ambient works...
Feedback. I would have liked to hear you press a note each time you made an edit - as the 2-op FM isnt the OSC Id have chose for an ambient patch - be good to hear how the sound created from A>Z
the pedal is doing the work here?
cant understand what you're saying at 1:10 "first step is to go on to one of the empty one on da microfreak" what does that mean?
sounds from heaven, electricity is also the God, and thats literally the voice of God talking to my ear in a form of sense
