its a testament to Mr Fillion's acting abilities, whether he's an LA Rookie police officer, a sci-fi space pirate with a heart of gold or a mystery novelist, he makes you believe that those characters are real people doing real jobs, there's a struggle we all face and he portrays is so well. Its a shame he hasn't won an Oscar yet, but with his people's choice awards, its clear it can't be too long before we get the recognition he well deserves.. Suffice to say, if he's in it, I will watch it... :-)

Jessica was better for him than Grace was, she was more fun and more relatable considering they were both cops. It's a shame that their differing opinions on having kids came between them.

I liked them too, and I actually shipped Nolan with captain Andersen, but since she's dead I like Bailey although Grace was a great fit if the actress hadn't left for a different show, I also like Chen with Bradford. In general, I was never bothered by any ship, right or wrong, they've all been interesting to me in one way or another. (I also enjoy Angela & Wesley + Nyla & James)
@virz4432 Nolan and the captain, I think it was a viable route. They had chemistry and she seemed to have an attraction towards him which could have turned romantic. I think it would have been easily made, but she had to go from what I heared. Bailey is great, tho I feel like a lot of times she is more of a plot device, a good at everything girl but without the story behind. Like she can just do stuff, we hear she was and is in the military, she has a lot of hobies, but I feel like those things were just said to explain her skills, not shown tho. Like a flashback from when she was in an army mision, or a quarter episode dedicated to showing things from her past, maybe a colleague from when she was in the army went rogue and she help the police catch him, and we get flashbacks with her time in a mission, thoe would go a long way to make her skills more believable. Her personality is great and it has reason behind, not her skills tho. Grace, in my opinion could have been a great fit if she remained like how she was in the first 2 episodes in which we met her, after the no-emotions over dead body stunt I vould not ship them anymore, she was too different from Nolan and she needed to show more emotions, but if the script was different they would have been good.
Hopefully season 3 has kore of Nolan and Lucy together, add Jackson to. I felt Nolan was separated from them a little to much in season 2. Plus think Nolan Lucy was a great couple and the start and should be revisited
