What about Sir John Major, main architect and author of Northern Ireland Peace Process? 15/12/2023 is the 30th Pearl anniversary of the Downing Street Declaration 15/12/1993. Why is it always about the damn Good Friday Agreement? Sir John Major is Northern Ireland Peace Process.

I agree. Why does Blair get all the cred?

The only reason why it stopped was because the Americans who were funding the Ira, experienced terrism themselves from the middle east.

The recent visit shows how strong the peace accord is - long may the peace continue across the whole community. A deep sense of gratitude should be felt for everyone who worked to make it possible.

I surely remember the UK get bombed by the Ira in the 90s that why when my husband and decided to move to the UK we decided against going to London to live because we didn't want to be living anywhere that could be a possible target to be bombed. Therefore my husband came over first to the UK at the end of November 1996 left Jamaica to the UK and stayed with my grandmother in Birmingham until he got a job as a insurance broker in the insurance industry. By January 1997 he got a job in Peterborough and then I applied for my Entry Visa to join my husband to live in the UK, got my Entry Visa on 10th April 1997 and then my husband bought my plane ticket from British Airways and I immigrated from Jamaica departed Norman Manley International Airport on mother's day on Sunday 11th May 1997 to London Gatwick Airport and I landed and arrived in the United Kingdom for the first time to live and work as an immigrant on Monday 12th May 1997 and my first place I live was in a one bedroom apartment on Princes Street in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. I was working within a week as an administrator assistant at an employment agency for lorry drivers. I remember hearing about all that was going on in London and Tony Blair was the Prime Minister at the time.
