    Extra Information:
    - Why build so many small ponds?
Building numerous nano ponds allows us to create a wide variety of aquatic habitats. Each small pond can be completely unique. Attracting different wildlife and microfauna for us to collect.
    - How did you get into this hobby?
Some years ago I found an abandoned fish tank on the side of the road. The tank came with live bladder snails and detritus worms. While at first I was creeped out by the bizarre animals, I came to love them. Enjoying them so much - I just had to share them with the world.
    - Where can I find the plants that you use?
Our plants were originally wild caught. I collected them from places like: roadside ditches, city drainage canals, woodland ponds and old forgotten gardens. Nowadays the plants we keep are those that worked best with my methods.
    - What can I do to get started?
It's easy to get started on building your own little Oasis outdoors. Converting a forgotten garden or bare patch of soil is best. Just choose a few plants that do well in your area. Concentrate them in your chosen backyard location and allow nature to begin it's work. Add some stone or logs for decor. Collect more local plants as they make themselves known to you. Bring them to your spot and get creative. Learn and grow. After a year or two you'll have an excellent little patch of the wilds right at home.
    - When did BucketPonds start?
BucketPonds began in 2018, born from a simple love of all the tiny, misunderstood animals that dwell within our aquariums. 2019 marked our entry into RUclips. Where I set out on a mission to encourage others to enjoy the nano pond and nano aquarium hobbies.
