Big Rockaway Striped Bass on Bunker - Late afternoon trip - Fishing Long Island

After a long day filled with the kids I needed a quick break once my better half got home. I loaded the gear and pushed off the dock at 4:15 pm.
I ran to the spot where we have been catching them and had to work to find the right bait school. once found, the action was there. had fish to 48 inches

Not bad for a quick trip! Lots of fun action. The big stripers always tend to swallow circle hooks.

Yup. It’s completely useless and as you know we use oversized circle hooks and still get same result.
