You are absolutely right rick about audience being still , also we would not like to miss anything what's coming from the singer because unlike other music , classical music is mainly based on improvisation so we might know the words to the song .. but the way they sing it is always different. Thats the beauty of indian music 😇

Rick got it right when he says that since we have grown up listening to this we know that the real appreciation of this kind of music is not in moving or dancing with it...It is an experiential thing...and we just sit there absorbing what is being offered to us...That is how we show our respect and gratitude to the artists for giving us the experience...

Yes!! You require complete dedication to achieve that kind of Heights. Actually, Rahul was doing Chartered Accountancy. But he was advised by legendary Marathi writer, Musician, Harmonium Player, Actor Pu La Deshpande to leave Chartered Accountancy & devote completely to the singing. Pu La Deshpande asked him a question "How many Chartered Accountants you see when you come from railway station to home?" Rahul replied "Many" . Pu La Deshpande asked another question " How many singers you see during the same path" Rahul replied "None". Rahul got what Pu La wanted to tell him.
