This is a brilliant exercise in fusion. I'm not surprised that there's an exhausting number of purists in the comments section dissing the percussionist and the synth player. They did a brilliant job. Tis extremely tough to keep up with classical vocals. The drummer and the vocalist are both accomplished musicians and they had a couple of instances where either of them dragged or rushed. I'm not as well acquainted with music theory to know who, but could make out two instances, once at the start and once near the 13.19 mark. Please shed some light on this someone?

Shubhadeep ,a contestant at that time did full justice to it and that too singing with the maestro. I just discovered this video yesterday on Shubhadeep official channel. Very well recorded also. Sorry to say drums just do not match with this composition.Tabla is the right thing .

My humble suggestion is that he sh have only a couple of Tanpuras and an expert tabalchi to accompany him and do away with all other musicians. It is a mesmerising jugal bandi.
