My favourite card game is Old Maid. It's a simple card game where players pass cards to each other and discard any pairs they get. Once all of the pairs have been matched and discarded, the player with the odd card out loses the game.
A. B. There is a standard deck variant called 'Spite and Malice'. I learned it in the 80s, long before Skipboo released. It's difference of rules being wilds May not be used as Aces or Kings to start or finish a center pile.
You forgot about "Sheepshead". It's a famous card game in Wisconsin and Germany, but I don't think a lot of people outside of those two have heard of it. My family has passed down the game from generation to generation and it's my favorite.
I love a game called Speed. It is a 2 player game that is fast paced and fun. To start, the dealer sets up 2 piles of 5 cards and deals the rest to the players. The players draw 4 cards from their stockpile and start by flipping a card from one of the piles in the center. Each player can play to either flipped card going up or down 1 card value with Ace being 1 and King being 13. If there is no play from either hand, another card is flipped to the center. The round ends when one player exhausts all cards, keeping 4 in hand at all times. The score is determined by the opponents remaining cards valued 1 for numbers and 10 for face cards. The game is a set of rounds or a final score to be reached. Either way, be ready for some wild plays.
two you missed that I was kind of surprised not to see were Euchre and Miles Borne. both are really cool games, you might want to give a shot. when I was a kid, we would have Euchre nights, with a grown up table and a kids table that lasted until the sun came up.
Other Than Intended Purpose I was hoping to see Euchre on here also! Being from Michigan, it’s one of the first card games learned lol. My dad taught me how to play when I was 6 years old. My out of state family can’t grasp the concept and it makes me giggle lol
You forgot Cards Against Humanity! That is just a disgrace. It has to be the funniest game ever. It is not that family friendly though. I highly recommend it.
The best card game I've played that you might not have heard of is "Love Letters". It is a great 2-4 player game with a deluxe set that allows up to 8 players. Hands are quick and fun. Planning goes into the few cards you get per hand.
I'm old fashioned. I still love Cribbage. But I am surprised of games not on the list. My second favorite is Onirim. It is a solo game that is now an app (free). Love it.
I never laughed so hard at playing cards as when a small group of us young, slightly inebriated goofy couples played PIT. We tried playing it years later but I guess you have to be young, goofy, relatively smart yet in the early stages of drinking back in the day when there wasn't much else to do. You had to be there I guess. (with some loud vocal cords) and 70's music softly playing on the turntable or tape deck.
Too bad you didnt include Red Dragon Inn. That game is absolutely amazing. It can be played by 2 to 54 players, has 54 unique characters, and you win by being the last person standing. It has drink cards that increase your alcohol levels and people can do damage bringing your health down, and there is gambling. You lose if your health and alcohol cross or meet or if you run out of gold.
Glad to see Oh Hell on the list, I was practically raised playing it. Version I know maxes out at 4 players since number of cards dealt starts at 1 goes up to 13 then back down to 1. It’s my favorite
the game my family always plaid at gatherings was called "Cabbage " I don't know if it goes by other names since I can't find it on Google, but this is how we plaid it. Let me know if YOU will be playing it after having read this. you need at least 2 players but the more the better. each player is dealt 4 cards face down and a draw and discard pile is also put out both face down. each player can peek at there cards choosing to peak and keep them face down or you can hold them. the object is to get 4 cards same suit or same color a total of 31 or 41 points at any time in the game a person can stop the game by knocking on the table at this point the person closest to 41 wins or you can play till some one has that perfect hand. however the person who knocks had better have the highest hand, if they don't they lose and every one else stays in. each round the lowest hand leaves the game and you play the next round with fewer people till two are left and then just one. people can stay in longer if you play with tokens or money. but the one who knocks will always leave over the lowest score if some one beats the hand of the one knocking you can not hold more then 4 cards at once so if you draw you have to discard. when you discard it goes to the discard pile when you draw you can draw from the draw deck or the discard deck all cards are worth face value but aces are worth 11. the key to the game is to figure out what suit every one is working on and if you have more then 4 players multiple people may need the same suit. in a two player game it goes bye very fast. and some times you can knock on the hand you draw at the start if your 1st hand is that good and you think its likely no one can beet 12 points. also after a knock each person gets one last turn to draw and try to better whatever hand they got.
I used to play a solitaire type game called "Kings Corners" but don't remember how to play it, now. Great video, Mr. Mike. I never knew there were so many other card games out there. =D
Friends and I used to play 99 all the time, for money. 25 cents a round would add up after a while. I remember having a huge bag of quarters that I had won and used to bankroll myself for games.
i have three favourite card games, each serving a different purpose. the first one is called cheating and it's about geting to know your fellow players, to play this you need three or more players and the rules are easily explained. you deal out the whole deck evenly among all players, the player to the left of the dealer starts the round by playing a card face down and announcing a colour (spades, hearts, diamonds or clubs) from this point on the players take turn placing more cards of that colour on top of the stack, the kicker is that there are only eight cards per colour so eventually you won't have any cards of that colour so you'll have to cheat and play cards of a different colour. at any point a player can call another player out for cheating at which point the top card is revealed, if you catch someone cheating the cheater has to pick up the whole stack in the middle, play a new card and announce a colour. the winner is whoever drops all his cards first. the second one is called "asshole" and it's a party game for as many players as you can find. first you place all cards in the deck in a circle, then one player draws a card from the circle and places it face up in the middle, then the next player has to draw a card from the circle, which he can only place in the center if it matches either colour or value of the card placed there before, otherwise he'll have to hold onto that card and play it later when it does match, you can only draw from the circle if you don't have any cards in your hand. the game ends when the circle is completely gone and all but one players are no longer holding any cards, the last player to hold cards is the looser and must be referred to as "asshole" for the remainder of the evening. the last game is a strategy game which is called "Skat" it is played with a deck of 32 cards, requires three players and takes way too long to explain.
There was a craze for 2 card games in my high school in 1998: switch and snipes. Does anyone still play Solo? It uses cards from 7 - Ace. It's a bidding game where trump runs Big Horse (Q of clubs), 7 of trump suit called, Bluey (Q of spades), then Ace on down. You forgot Bullshit. Also, there's this card game I used to play as a teen. I think it was called Haunted, or something related to that word. It's been so many years, I've forgotten how to play it, and Google has no idea what the hell I'm talking about.
Anyone know of the game "speed"
Loved that game as a kid
We overplayed the hell out of speed when I was in high school. We also played kings corner and poker.
Speed is very similar to the "Snip Snap Snore'm" in this list 25 video.

There is a standard deck variant called 'Spite and Malice'. I learned it in the 80s, long before Skipboo released.
It's difference of rules being wilds May not be used as Aces or Kings to start or finish a center pile.
I got to know Skip-Bo while worling with senior citizens, and now I play it with one of them several times a week.
I love playing “oh hell” or up and down the river as I call it.
You forgot about "Sheepshead". It's a famous card game in Wisconsin and Germany, but I don't think a lot of people outside of those two have heard of it. My family has passed down the game from generation to generation and it's my favorite.
i wonder how many people thought 52 pick up was a actual game
Try exploding kittens! It was introduced to us by a few friends... And it is actually pretty fun!
I love 21. It’s simple but a lot of fun. Can’t go wrong with the classic go fish either though.
I subscribed to you thanks for sharing
Mau is the best game.
Irok 121 everyone I know calls it the devil’s game. It is hilarious.
I was thinking of Mao (or Mau) when this video appeared. "I wonder if Mao is in this video"
I invented a good rule for Mao.
I don't think I should tell you what it is.
How do you play?
Suggestion; keep the name on the screen next to the number while you explain the game. Thx

Is it a card game that has its own special cards?
_Unexploded Cow._ What an a-bomb-in-a-bull concept!
Exploding Kittens is a great one that's lots of fun. Same with Epic Spell Wars. Highly recommend both.
I just purchased Bears Vs Babies and Sushi Go.
You forgot Cards Against Humanity! That is just a disgrace. It has to be the funniest game ever. It is not that family friendly though. I highly recommend it.
This video is called " Card Games You've Likely NOT Played". Everyone has at least heard of Cards Against Humanity.
I highly recommend it as a family game. Never know how fucked up your family is until you've played that game together

I know Kevin MacLeod's music very well, and I recognized Five Card Shuffle as soon as the first chord played and thought it was very appropriate.
I love Kings on a Corner and Rummy.
I never laughed so hard at playing cards as when a small group of us young, slightly inebriated goofy couples played PIT. Belote and 3,5,8 are the best card games

Hey Mike want to play a round of my favorite card game...it’s called 52 pickup
Too bad you didnt include Red Dragon Inn. That game is absolutely amazing. It can be played by 2 to 54 players, has 54 unique characters, and you win by being the last person standing. Asshole is so much fun... I used to play it a lot as a kid.
Gloom.
the game my family always plaid at gatherings was called "Cabbage " I don't know if it goes by other names since I can't find it on Google, but this is how we plaid it. Let me know if YOU will be playing it after having read this.
you need at least 2 players but the more the better.
each player is dealt 4 cards face down and a draw and discard pile is also put out both face down.
each player can peek at there cards choosing to peak and keep them face down or you can hold them.
the object is to get 4 cards same suit or same color a total of 31 or 41 points
at any time in the game a person can stop the game by knocking on the table at this point the person closest to 41 wins or you can play till some one has that perfect hand.
however the person who knocks had better have the highest hand, if they don't they lose and every one else stays in.
each round the lowest hand leaves the game and you play the next round with fewer people till two are left and then just one. people can stay in longer if you play with tokens or money.
but the one who knocks will always leave over the lowest score if some one beats the hand of the one knocking
you can not hold more then 4 cards at once so if you draw you have to discard.
when you discard it goes to the discard pile
when you draw you can draw from the draw deck or the discard deck
all cards are worth face value but aces are worth 11.
the key to the game is to figure out what suit every one is working on and if you have more then 4 players multiple people may need the same suit.
in a two player game it goes bye very fast. and some times you can knock on the hand you draw at the start if your 1st hand is that good and you think its likely no one can beet 12 points.
also after a knock each person gets one last turn to draw and try to better whatever hand they got.
Love Unexploded Cow. Also...Kittens In a Blender, killer Bunnies, munchkin, Poo!, Smash Up, and Sentinels of the Multiverse are all worth playing.
I used to play a solitaire type game called "Kings Corners" but don't remember how to play it, now. Great video, Mr. Mike. I never knew there were so many other card games out there. =D

i have three favourite card games, each serving a different purpose.
the first one is called cheating and it's about geting to know your fellow players, to play this you need three or more players and the rules are easily explained.
you deal out the whole deck evenly among all players, the player to the left of the dealer starts the round by playing a card face down and announcing a colour (spades, hearts, diamonds or clubs) from this point on the players take turn placing more cards of that colour on top of the stack, the kicker is that there are only eight cards per colour so eventually you won't have any cards of that colour so you'll have to cheat and play cards of a different colour.
at any point a player can call another player out for cheating at which point the top card is revealed, if you catch someone cheating the cheater has to pick up the whole stack in the middle, play a new card and announce a colour.
the winner is whoever drops all his cards first.
the second one is called "asshole" and it's a party game for as many players as you can find.
first you place all cards in the deck in a circle, then one player draws a card from the circle and places it face up in the middle, then the next player has to draw a card from the circle, which he can only place in the center if it matches either colour or value of the card placed there before, otherwise he'll have to hold onto that card and play it later when it does match, you can only draw from the circle if you don't have any cards in your hand.

I just keep my old PC on life support to play Free Cell or Spider Solitaire. Don't know anyone plays any more, Except maybe some poker.
You forgot about the best part of Hanabi: you don't get to look at your own cards!
5 Crowns
I have sushi go

favorite card game is yu-gi-oh without rules!
Do Dice game next. Liars dice is my favorite from Red Dead Redemption.
My favourite game is baloot
There was a craze for 2 card games in my high school in 1998: switch and snipes. The latter was was a simple game of torture, all players all drew a card and the one with the lowest card got hit in the knuckles with the deck. It was bloody sore! I’ve heard of some others called Spanish, chase the lady and there is actually one called shithead but I don’t know how to play them. You could write a book on card games, there’s that many!
I'm addicted to spades (obviously been locked up b4) lol
Shanghai Rummy
2 of the best ever card games no one is playing "Lunch Money" and "Rook"
Caravan from New Vegas
there is a Caribbean card game "Suck Me Well"... the name may sound sexual but it means 'take my cards'.
a 2 player game,...the cards are divided equally and must remain face down. one player plays a card face up and the other responds by placing their card. on standard cards (1-9) normal play is resumed, but on the 'royal' cards is where the one who plays it claims the upturned pack..
if player one plays a Jack then player 2 plays one(1) standard card (1-9) player ,one wins..on the Queen player 2 must play two(2), King, three(3) and Ace four(4) cards must be played. then the winner takes the pack.
If during the response to a royal another royal is played..eg. 3 cards to a King...and another royal is played then the other player must respond with the appropriate amount of cards.
the Game goes on until the looser is :sucked" of all his cards
21 next thing 99 WHAT oh it’s the name of the game (I am so stupid lol 😂 )
There's a version of Uno called "Shit On Your neighbor" that should have been in this video. Basically it's just like Uno except if someone puts down a, for example, "Draw 2" card, you can put down your own "Draw 2" card if you have one. This goes on until someone has no Draw 2 card and is forced to draw however many cards the sum of the draw 2 card is. Example: Player 1 puts down draw 2, player 2 puts down their own draw 2 card, player 3 doesn't have the draw 2 card and has to draw 4 cards. It's the same thing with all the special cards. (Skip turn, reverse, etc)
Isn't that normal uno?
Does anyone still play Solo? It uses cards from 7 - Ace. It's a bidding game where trump runs Big Horse (Q of clubs), 7 of trump suit called, Bluey (Q of spades), then Ace on down. It's most close to Euchre except more complex and partners change via the bid. LOVE this game. Learned it from my Dutch/German grandparents in central Iowa.
Apples to apples pairs
I like to play BANG and Munchkin.
My favorite card game is Mille Bournes. I haven't played since I moved and the movers lost the box we had all our board games in.
I think your movers are enjoying your card games.
I have played flux (#14) and coup (#12) both I love I all so play Magic The gathering or mtg
Canasta and Rummy, old fashioned but they make you think.
U forgot heartstone
You forgot Bullshit. Also, there's this card game I used to play as a teen. I think it was called Haunted, or something related to that word. It's been so many years, I've forgotten how to play it, and Google has no idea what the hell I'm talking about.
