Just bought two Uberti SAA clones from Cimarron, the 7th Cavalry model in .45 Colt and the 5.5" Cattleman in .44-40 WCF. Both four click old model black powder style with the front cylinder set screw. Love the Old West nostalgia, being a child of the 50s. Had to get the 7.5-inch barrel; the preferred iron for two of my all-time favorites, Matt and Paladin. Got the .44-40 WCF because I intend to get the Winchester rifle in that caliber since it was the same caliber Lucas McCain wielded, throwing lead down Front Street in the opening sequence of The Rifleman. I already own a Henry Big Boy in .45 Colt. Like I said, I'm a child of the 50s.
I grew up watching tv western series as a kid Roy Roger's, The Lone Ranger, Gunsmoke, Bonanza, and several more including all the movies John Wayne, Audie Murphy
Hi Jenny J1911, awesome video as always. Thanks for sharing your experience at the convention and giving us folks who couldn't attend great informative information about the different vendors and current trends!!! Stay Safe and Watch your Six!!! Awesome video as always!!!
I use the Cimarron Colt Thunderer With the birds head grip in 3 and three-quarter inch version chambered in 357 magnum. I’m planning on getting a matching revolver in the next few weeks.
See I just bought one of these a cimarron 1873 pistoleer o for cas and my first cylinder threw it was chalk full of light primer strikes I only put one cylinder threw it so I'm not given up on it I'll try with different ammo and after it's broke in but I'm not feeling it yet I may have to send it back
I order a round barrel from my dealer. However, he ordered the octagon. I think because instead his head, that is what he liked. I think octagon is ugly. Being in the communist state of Oregon, I he had it in hand so I bought it. Gun is heavy and there is no recoil.
🇦🇺😎👍GoJJ 1911 , I love show and tell …. If we’re gonna be cowboys we may as well be modern day cowboys 🤠👍…. Someone at the club started palming the hammer at the range one day and he got in trouble. That’s a no no apparently 🤠🤛. I like those 1873s JJ…little arms JJ…Thanks Jenny J 🙃👍
Thank YOU, Big Trev!! I've tried the palming technique. I have video of that hilarity that will probably never make it to RUclips. Too embarrassing!! :-D
@@JennyJ1911 😂…..so the technique is called palming 🤔…. I wonder how good those ole fellas were with their guns , down here our history is hidden. Everything’s a secret . That "Hollywood" technique is called "fanning". As you stated, SASS rules prohibit fanning (you can use your support hand/thumb to cock the hammer but your hand must stay in contact with the revolver). I cringed when the fellow drew the revolver and mimicked fanning it.
@@walksfletcher You are correct, I was referring to Cowboy Fast Draw Association rules , my bad, minimum barrel length for both orgs seems to be 4 5/8", mounted SASS allows 3 1/2" though IIRC.
@@JennyJ1911 But when it comes to revolvers....nothing beats a tuned S&W K L or N Frame. You want fun.....get 4in S&W 625 with some mid range target loads. An ammo can full of moon clipped ammo.... You're so sweet to be concerned, Larry! Thank you! Just so you can worry a little less about that in this instance, we were in a controlled setting where all the guns were tagged for an empty chamber, plus it's hard to see in the video perspective, but I was well behind the barrel of every one of the guns. :-) You are right to want to ensure no one is ever having a barrel pointed in an unsafe direction!!

I watch too many westerns. I like revolvers and levers. Very cool.. Thanks!
*gasp* "Too many" westerns?! Never has a more incomprehensible phrase been uttered, Uncle John!! And I love revolvers and levers, too. :-)

Cimarron has some fine products, and they're truly accurate reproductions of the originals.
Good info. Hanks for the effort it took to post this..
Thank YOU for watching, Rusty Guy!! I really appreciate it.
I have always liked the western style guns.
Lever rifles are the best.
Steven, they are so much fun, aren't they? And they look darn cool!!
Your absolutely right. I love that
Of course you do, B! You have good taste!!
Super helpful video! Thanks, Jen! ☺️
Uberti makes the 1873 clone and they market it as the cattleman. I have 2 of them 1 in 357m and 45c
Oh, nice, Critter!! Which one do you like better? I know, that's a loaded (see what I did there?) question. :-D
I love my model 71 Winchester in 348.
Its bad medicine for Elk and Grizz in the timber

I love this video 📹 JennyJ right up my alley 🎳 🤠👍
I had a feeling it would be, Jeff, being that you are an A student and all. ;-)
7:20 as a man with muscles I prefer the aesthetics and light weight of the round barrel over the octagon.

I am tire of this knucklehead saying this is a “great gun for the ladies” nonsense. He is insulting anyone who doesn’t agree with his preferences.
Thank you
Excellent😊
Love the video thanks 😘
Jeffrey, thank you so much for watching!!
They have great replica’s
They sure do, @Slick Sixguns.

I have the 1878 side by side shotgun. My question is are the rifles made in the same country as the shotgun or are they made somewhere else?
please make the 1897 pump shotgun again cant find any anywhere anymore
Awesome video!!!
my favorite western growing up was Tombstone.. nowadays I do occasionally wear my cowboy hat and look pretty darn bad**s in it! 🤠👍
Tombstone has influenced a lot of people! :-) As for the hat, we need pictures! :-D
I was always under the impression that SASS was a requirement to have a 5,5 barrel length and in the 45 caliber
4 5/8" is the minimum length, there is a special class for the 5.5 and 7.5 barrelled pistols though.
@@maxmccullough8548 I started Cowboy Shooting in 1987, shot until 2009. Never heard such, there is no division of class by barrel length.

Pew Pew 🔫
For sure!
All these firearms are made in Italy by Uberti or Pietta. I think is correct to say this
I believe the cimmarons are made by pietta to cimmaron specks. But I could be wrong.
Kid Redondo here
I dont care what kind of gun, it shouldnt be pointed at Jenny or anyone.

Oh no he was wrapping his thumb.....
Pointing a gun with finger on the trigger? Yes, the firing pin is removed, but it is not professional. Please find other “expert”.
