All I could think at that moment was... Ahh finally!
Somebody watch this on vr and tell me what Kat and emels death is like
Even thought it's fictional, kats death really shows what war is like. Not everyone's gonna go down in a heroic sacrifice

He destroyed the super Carrier at the end the gun that 6 used was merely a distraction
My head canon is that the slipspace bomb they set off actually teleported Jorge somewhere. Nobody knows, but somewhere he is alive.

Emile was looking Kat in the face the whole time she was being carried. When you think about that cutscene and how he’s baked in red and a little hunched while everyone else is in blue or shadows doing their hero poses it adds even more emotion. Poor guy was just feeling. He never saw Jorge after he blasted off with Six and didn’t see him die so he just laughed it off and moved on, but he saw every second of and every second after Kat’s death.
There’s a hurt heart under all that badassery.
He was so badass
Emil wad apparently extremely close with Kat and Jorge. Jorge of course being the complete opposite of Emile. But Kat was like a sister to him
I feel like that’s a underrated aspect of Emile where I do think he was upset about all the deaths because with cat he kept looking at her. With Jorge he pretty much pretended he wasn’t dead. With carter his first instinct was “we can push through this” then “you don’t have the firepower” and then when carter said he would jihad strike the scarab he just said in a emotionless voice “hit him hard boss” idk Emile had feelings to spite his scary exterior
LogicDog_21 also I think Emile was hurt by Jorge’s death he just didn’t express it

Marty’s piano piece during Kat’s death still gets me. It’s such a bittersweet piece of music.
One of his best pieces in the series. Love the crescendo as they carry her body and signal the pelican. The soundtrack for Reach is really something special, and even among the four other masterpieces that came before it, it still manages to be unique and affecting throughout.

A taste of humanities might. There's a reason the elites who killed six are probably working under humans now.
@@saintsocky1346 Just like with the Arbiter. They respect warrior prowess and honor, and Six died in some fucking glorious combat.
Well he was on par in terms of combat and intelligence with Master Chief. They're both the only two Spartans with the combat rating of "Hyper-Lethal".
Noble Team dying in first person just makes it even sadder, especially Kat. You understand that deep down, Spartans are just as every bit of human as you are.
This is by far my favorite halo game. Each noble team member dies by how they lived. Cat was the brains and she got shot in the head. Carter was the captain and he went down with his ship. Jorge died in something bigger than himself. Emile died close combat, and noble 6 died the lone wolf.
Super underrated comment. Thank you for saying this cause I never realized that.
@@Avaricosity 😊
For Jorge's death it's also an ironic twist of the knife for him.
Jorge never had plans to leave Reach being that he was born there and he sacrificed his life after leaving Reach to blow up that super carrier.
@@Avaricosity And the ghost Jun was never seen again.
Damn, that was really deep.
Pretty terrifying to watch. We’re used to seeing these characters die from a distance, but to see each of their last seconds through their eyes is unsettling. For some reason, Carter’s is the scariest to me in first person, since it is so quick and his voice is so casual, and you see to see the scarab getting bigger and bigger the way he does until everything goes dark is chilling. And how pretty much every one of them, besides Kat, knew that they were about to die in that moment, and they all had slightly different reactions to it. Idk, I guess that normally in the cutscenes, their deaths are sad or badass, but seeing it from this POV makes it terrifying and feel more real, like they aren’t just characters getting killed off, but real people confronted with their sudden and violent ends.
That's one way to see it and i understand
Agreed. It really puts a new view on these characters and this game. A terrifying view at that. And it makes the covenant seem really frightening. This was something I was not expecting
Carters was casual because he was about to be up there with kat. He didnt have to take the scarab out like he did, he couldve distracted it while six and emile moved in a tactical way around it. He did it so he could be with kat amd jorge once again. More kat than jorge.
@@pearcegenovese8689 distracting the scarab wouldve been useless cuz he was already mortally wounded with little to no chance of survival. if he hadnt flown into the scarab the scarab would have taken him out then turned its attention to the spartans on the ground.
Mucho texto
Jorge really went: "aight imma head out."
Hehehe
What a liar
I like the added touch of a Field Marshal appearing in 6's death scene, even though you never get to know its actually a field marshal from the cameras perspective. An under appreciated moment from bungies last halo that never got recognition until 12 years later. Thx Bungie!
I feel like Bungie added him to imply that the field marshal that was fought at the ship yard, didn’t die. Making him the final cause for most of Noble teams deaths. Truly interesting.
5:32 gives me a whole new light in just the amount of hopelessness noble six must have been feeling like even if you never played the game before and saw it on this angle you can see that he is obviously gonna die
He punched that Zealot to his right that was badass. R.I.P noble 6 and the rest of the noble team 😔
I imagine that the epilogue song actually kinda plays as he is near his end. And that his own fists, gunshots and grunts are drowned out by the thought of him about to die manifested into that song.
six 100% survived the attacks but most likely died to the glassing
6's death really hits hard. Being swarmed from all sides, in a scenario of certain inevitable demise but carries on struggling to the end. A true warrior's spirit.

I've been trying to spread word for the longest - you can see Jorge get lost in space. He was never recovered and crash landed back onto Reach. One of the characters in Shadows of Reach is secretly Jorge
I mean TECHNICALLY the slipspace drive wouldn't kill him nessicarilly. Not right away anyway. Best case scenario he might survive until his his suit life support failed. Worst case the part of the carrier that got teleported explodes and kills him moments later...
He used No-clip because he's a Spartan 2 or something idfk
@@cuddlecakes7153 Noble's S-III's
Of all of them, Carter's probably got to me the most. How monotone and calm he was going into it. Not knowing whether or not his sacrifice would save the human race or whether it would be in vain, leaving so much trust in the hands of his three remaining men. Luckily, he made the right choice. Reach's story is, in my opinion, the best. No matter how many times you play it. No matter how many times you bond with Noble and lose them, it always hits different.
This adds an extra level of emotion to see their last moments through their eyes. If anything some of these shots could of been used in the final product of the game. Like, if the camera view would of changed to her point of view after she was shot but instead she feel in a way where we could still see the sniper who shot her and Noble 6 trying to cover her, and then being dragged back into the other room.. That would of put the underlining meaning of the Battle of Reach - Hopelessness.
The Hero, never gets to that ending they'll never know if their sacrifice acutally made a difference, they'll never know if the day was really saved. In the end, we just have to have faith

As weird and bad as D1 was, Marty's music of the spheres reaches the same heights as halo in my opinion.
But then activision scrapped MOTS and spliced what was left into the game.
ODST also had some pretty damn good music if you ask me.
Reach, odst, and halo 3 are my favorites no contest. Reach will always be my favorite though I played it a bunch with my friends in 3 way split screen(couch co-op) and the campaign was amazing.

It was a zealot that shot Kat not a jackal
Carter’s in first person is insane. The dialogue before it has always been some of my favourite in the series, with his last words to Emile and Six are touching but still basically saying “get the mission done without me”. All it is, is the perspective we see, put on a characters perspective or the environment, but it's not "behind the scenes stuff" it's literally a glitch because the camera wasn't supposed to be removed from it's fixed position.
This adds a whole level of emotion to the death of Noble team
I miss NOBLE team :( My Heroes
6’s last stand kinda reminds me of MSgt John Chapman’s last stand on Robert’s Ridge
Search “first Medal of Honor caught on video”
Chapman basically goes Spartan mode to save his friends. Charges an enemy bunker, earns a Medal of Honor and is rendered unconscious. He wakes up shortly after and makes his last stand, to save the QRF.. ultimately engaging in hand to hand combat with enemy fighters after most of his ammo was spent, earning his second Medal of Honor and ultimately succumbing to his wounds. Politics aside, it’s absolute insanity and seems like some Spartan, cinematic script.
So now we finally know what the elite in 6’s death cutscene was, it wasn’t an Arbiter, it was the same field-Marshall that escaped during the first level, which is honestly pretty haunting in my opinion.
That Field Marshal died in the miniboss fight before the MAC segment.
Dude basically spent the campaign hunting down Noble Team after we slew their lance in the first level.
5:40 Six’s perspective looked a little jankey the whole way through but I love how it cleaned up a bit just as the final elite drew their sword. Pretty sick.
The elite: am I late?

After seeing Kat’s death for the first time, I was more wary of needle rifle users from then on and that’s kind of terrifying.
My survival instincts wanna kick in when I see them needle rifles. Tells me to avoid em but I'm like "Fck that, these mofos going down" lol
The thing about Kat’s death that makes it so sad is it just happens, there is no hinting at it, there is no over dramatic thing happening before her death, they are just running snd talking, no hints about what is coming, it is like real life, just all of a sudden that persons life is gone, there is no fighting, it’s such a natural death and that’s why it hits so differently. It’s one of the most realistic deaths in a game I feel like because it isn’t being hyped up by the game, it hits differently because it just happens in an instant.
4:18 this pov was terrifying
Kat In First person, is Weird
Emile on the other hand is well also weird the first Elite shakes his head “No”
“Please I have a family.”
@@LeTtRrZ “That didn’t stop you from killing mine.”
@@NickKings59 Dang that was deep
@@NickKings59 honestly something Emile would say
@@jellerstudios Nah that's too emotional for Emile to say, he would most definitely think something like that but would say something much more cold
Jorge’s, Emile’s, and 6’s were my favorite. If it were a little less shaky it would’ve been great for a cinematic.
Man, when I first saw all of noble teams death way back when, it almost felt like I lost someone close to me, cuz reach's campaign hit different
Same. With Halo Combat Evolved, 2 and 3 you was taught that Spartans were badass they never die (heck with 3 we see Chief falling from space and surviving) yet here is a game where Spartans were dying left right and centre.
Reach/Humanity was fucked and you was here for the ride whether you liked it or not
This game n halo 3 was my childhood n watching this back honestly brings a tear to my eye
Honestly, I'd love to see another Halo campaign similar to this game. Not just based on MC but a group of spartans on their missions. An emotional Halo game would be refreshing.
Yes! Totally agree
we did, halo 5, y’all didn’t like that one
@@VI_universe Im probably the only person on earth who didn't dislike that game..
And still I can say, halo 5 didn't come close to giving off the feel that reach did.
@@gyr so? y’all still got what you wanted and u didn’t like it
@@VI_universe it's mostly cause the characters weren't that interesting compare to noble team and this is coming from someone who loves halo 5
Imagine a first person perspective of Johnson dying and Chief watching Cortana sacrifice herself at the end of Halo 4
First person Chief vs Locke fight?
Kats death is the realest one by far no send off or tragic last words just dead out of nowhere
Then you realize they're wearing MK5 armor and have shields.
That shouldn't have even grazed her lol.
Shields were down at the time. @@harutothefriendlyodst7639
it's weird how a simple change in perspective can make these cinematic masterpieces look like they were thrown together in VR Chat
I’m glad to see that people are still making reach content, keep it up man!
Generalkidd's been doing this stuff for years, it's a shame he doesn't get as much recognition as he deserves
Jorge said aight I'm finna head out.
Everyone I talking about Kat's legs or the t-posing elites on Noble 6's death, but what about the POV when Kat is being held? The way her head is just staring out into the burning city and the destruction is just chilling
Kats death was the biggest, WTF, moment for me. So unexpected. She was such a badass
The fact that everyone for a while was questioning for a while which elite at the end of 6's death was pulling out the Energy Sword right before the Zealot uses his dagger, it's finally nice to know at the end of it all that it was yet another Field Marshall avenging the first that 6 killed at the end of the game.
According to one of the people at Bungie the same field Marshall is actually the antagonist of reach. The one that partially kills Emile is the same one that kills Kat and trails the team to Halsey.
Think of him as a Spartan Hunter. He's the one with the fuel rod you kill after six decides to stay behind and get on the gun.
@@gageowo9527 Oh I know that. The first Field Marshal in Reach was definitely the main antagonist.
@@gageowo9527 The first time I played through Reach, I beat the field marshal with an assassination and started "THAT'S RIGHT, THAT'S FOR KAT AND EMILE!"
Year later, I played through it again and when I got to the field marshal, he totally started blowing me to smithereens and I had one health left with no ammo. It felt like I was fighting the terminator or something, like one of those movies where the bad guy is just invincible and takes everything the hero throws at him. I ran around a corner while it chased me, picked up a plasma nade that was on the floor , and smacked it before throwing it on it's feet and running away. It raised it's arms in the air and roared as it blew up, while my shield was down and i was literally one bullet away from dying. It seriously felt like the end of predator or something, like I just beat the unbeatable monster using my brains.
Zero cutscenes. No cheesy call of duty style cutaways where it says "press x to do something", I had two totally cinematic moments that were purely born from the sand box. That's what made halo campaigns so good, you can replay them hundreds of times and it will still feel fresh.
@@publiusthefederalist6843 The Field Marshall has the highest health and shields of any Elite in the game.
@@gageowo9527 Wonder why both Bungie and 343i never gave that Sangheili a name in EU. Especially wrt Ground Command.
Holy shit Emile's death looks sick in first person.
I like it when it shows the last elite in noble 6 death grabbing his sword and 6 looking at him thinking that’s the elite that kills him
Dang, Elites got the new found skill of floating backwards, while shooting a plasma rifle with their feet, so advanced.
2:01 Awwwww... 6 wants to hug it out :3
Naw he's throwing gang signs
He was banging his set
I always knew Jorge was tall but.. holy shit
@FallenSpartanStudios funny to think that Noble 6 is roughly 6'8 and is barbied by him
George died the way he wanted and felt he ended the war in his final moments , not bad
Kats was hard , those couple twitch’s after she fell.. she didn’t deserve that
Carter didn’t “have” to die, he was just ready to go , I think he was just done personally, losing Kat was a major blow to him more than any other
Emile went down hard ,
Noble 6’s felt terrifying
All and alll very disturbing to see these deaths from a totally new point of view
Well done mate. You took all the death scenes from such an iconic game and made them that much better. It’s kinda funny cuz when I first bought Halo: Reach I already knew we were going to lose..I was almost in denial. HOPING by some miracle we would win, or at least get out alive. Every time a Noble team member died it was a punch to the gut. A solemn reminder that the end was near. I really thought at least Noble 6 would make it out. But once he said to Cpt Keyes “Negative Sir. I have a gun.” I knew it was just his way of saying good bye.
