Despite really being into Paradise Lost too, compared to My Dying Bride, the winner is no contest, it is My Dying Bride. I listened to the whole "A Mortal Binding" yesterday online. Masterpiece! The weather was raw, rainy, dark, cold and shit in New York. Perfect atmosphere for the morose sound of My Dying Bride.

I appreciate that. They’re not just about doom though, they’re epic rock, dark rock, melodic/classicist, death metal, and electronic. My favourite album of theirs is the electronic album Host, and their new side project which is also called Host. It’s too easy to simply call them doom and compare them to My Dying Bride, but Thankyou
