bro you're going to love your new car. i've had the 2018 sport cvt and have done a full exhaust, cold air intake, and down pipe. that thing sounds super mean. i was afraid of the tone of the exhaust because it might sound ricey and raspy but no, with a straight pipe it will sound super raspy, but with a good exhaust system and downpipe it's insane how different and good it sounds. had people come up to me asking if i had done an engine swap because of it. if you're thinking of modifying your car this the advise i'd give you.
Hello! Sport hatch owner here also. I did a muffler delete too. It was okay. But then I put them back on and did a resonator delete instead which I feel is slightly better. More growl!
I got both deleted n people hate me....I used to get a lot of droning but then I put an air intake in in my car n put a different filter instead of the crappy one that mines came with n it sounds amazing.... barely drones
Have a 10th gen Civic Sport myself. Good car, but adding significant power and torque without blowing up the rear main seal or damaging the CVT can get a bit dicey. In terms of a muffler delete, I think a full, high flow exhaust is probably a better fit for me.

Not sure if you still have this car. If you do definitely get it fluid filmed , woolwaxed, bar and chain, whatever undercoated. I see you're in PA, if you want the chassis to stay nice and rust free it's worth the time and money. I prefer to use fluid film black. Make sure you get essentially any exposed metal you can see underneath. Especially upper rear bumper area things like that.
I did a muffle and Resonator delete awhile ago and it’s sounds great. Much louder but not to loud. Lots of crackle and pops. I’m a manual so not much drone but with cvt I don’t recommend because being unable to manipulate your rpms will result in much more drone
I recently purchased an 11th gen civic touring (highest trim level), I was looking to do an exhaust swap but it is so expensive. And also, being a CVT im unsure on whether or not its a good idea. Moreover, I was looking at a muffler delete but that would impact the warranty of the car. I literally got the car last month. My touring comes with paddle shifters, so I guess I can manually change the rpms on my car while driving even tho it is a CVT. Would you still recommend a muffler delete/exhaust swap? its my first car and Im only getting into modifications lol, any help would help.
Nice video man, not alot of people make good sound comparison videos on muffler deletes. I just got a 21 civic hatch sport as well and I was wondering whether or not to do this so thanks! the sound with the delete sounds exactly like my old 2003 em2 coupe when it was stock. interesting because the d17 in the em2 has a small 127hp but .2L higher displacement
Hey bro i want to know how it sounds from inside of the car.. when you are going in long trips is the sound just blob of annoying? Does it get kouder when in freeway driving
I don’t know too much about cars but I thought the PRL Ram Intake would compensate for the loud noise make which you already have. Will adding the muffler delete make it even more louder??

There’s actually a law that states dealerships can’t void any mechanical warranties on exhaust modifications that don’t affect mechanical stuff, i.e. don’t remove your catalytic converter and mess with the O2 sensors but everything past that is fine. I did a muffler and resonator delete on my Toyota and kept bringing it in for the Toyota care warranty maintenance and a recall and had no problems.
Hey man! I have a 2017 EX and I love it! Other than the lack of the skirts and different tail pipes, the body is exactly the same. I do wish I had the 2.0 liter engine, but if you don’t want to spend the extra money on the sport, the EX is a fantastic car with a lot of nice interior features.
I'm guessing that you did a muffler delete because you couldn't afford the exhaust system and you couldn't wait for the sound. Been there quite a few times. A bit of advice; you can get a little more sound with a muffler delete and turning down the pipe tips under your cab. But it's not true that your car will be louder without mufflers. It's like the difference between yelling out in the open, and yelling into a cheerleading cone. One makes the sound echo. It also directs the sound somewhere so whoever is in the path of that sound will hear the maximum volume. Doing a muffler delete without directing the noise tends to amplify not just the passage of air through your intake and exhaust but also all of the internal clicks and clacks of the motor. Which doesn't sound as good.

I would have done an MAPerformance downpipe first. Itll give you better mileage, better clean performance, throttle response, and note is much better.
Would be cool to hear a stock type r vs a muffler delete sport
The difference would be the Type R is quieter, but you're trading off that your car doesn't sound like shit.
Try reving in neutral while rolling. Lets you rev all the way to the red line limiter. Sounds awesome.
