Can you simulate a projectile where the circumstances allow for it to penetrate armor clean off? Like if it looks like a T from the front, it'd leave a perfectly T shaped hole.
That bullet vs blade thing is something we do in muzzle-loading rifle shooting. You shoot a pure lead round ball anywhere from 45 to 62 caliber out of these guns, generally. The setup is a double bitted ax blade sunk into a section of tree trunk with the edge aligned vertically. There are two nails or screws part way into the wood either side to hold two clay pigeons. You try to split the ball on the ax and break both clays. It’s tricky, but I’ve done it. So, not so wild an idea for a simulation.
would it be feasable to simulate a whipple shield against projectiles of varying speed? (to demonstraight that they become more effective the faster the projectile)
An armor plate but the surface is composed of hundreds of raised pyramids closely packed together, maybe 20-30mm tall with the plate being 75-100mm thick. Versus maybe a small APFSDS round or APHE at 1000m/s
dude. can you lower the "resolution" and the number of polygons of items even more? You seem to be pushing dot to dot. I'm talking about what looks too simplistic, physics
How about a golf ball going 1000 mps vson of those golf ball collecters?
What are you planning to do?
@@karelpgbr I just thought about it when i was at a top golf.
@@tankdestroyerboi1943 I don't buy it. What are you planning?
@@angry_zergling what do you think I'm going to do?
@@tankdestroyerboi1943 Something involving a thousand meter per second golf ball and ball collectors!
