I can't tell you what a clash of culture this was. Frank was So articulate, so beautiful, and he is a good parent of good fruit, "by the way," that he absolutely impressed and smattered the representatives. This is MY history.
@@fredrikhallstrom8639 Well, I’ve seen interviews with a good bunch of today’s musicians, being of the younger generation myself, and I can safely say they are less articulate than the musicians of past decades. They could be, they just don’t care to. Hell, some of them are even borderline braindead.
What Frank was saying is what my very conservative parents believed. They looked at what we listened to and watched and if they felt it was not for our age or mental development, we didn't listen to or watch it. This idea has gone by the wayside as the government loves to keep us ignorant of truth. (opinion) Parents today, for the most part, do not keep track of what "little Johnny" is doing in his free time. And then get surprised Pikachu face when he shoots up his school or is caught stealing smokes and beer at the local C-store.
Congress came into the hearing already exhausted from other world issues as Frank Zappa relays modern music issues being processed by the masses and cannot comprehend what he is delivering not being prepared what he has to say.
"Come over to the house and I'll show 'em to you" 😂😂😂
Great response and the senator lady's reaction was amazing.

"Do you make a profit off of rock music?"
Yeah no shit lady it's called a job

I remember watching this live. Total pity that most of the artists today are NOT as articulate.
@Rawb Zilla
Yup. So true..
@@ReaperOnRepo there are still plenty of good music made nowdays but i think we can agree that mainstrem music nowdays is a shitshow
How many artists have you listened to speak?
Few people, period, are as intelligent and articulate as Zappa was.

If FZ invites me over to see their toys, I'm going. Dafuq is wrong with her?
All of these politicians combined weren't as smart as Frank.

There are more helicopter parents now than there ever have been. Your take is dumb.
That exchange between Frank and Sen. Hawkins is a masterclass in parenting under capitalism.
"Do you make a profit from selling records."
"Yes."
"Then you do make a profit from selling records."
Zappa is genius.
Leupold Stoch approves of Frank Zappa's opinion and his testimony.
