Yes, I like Krakow very much and I thought the film you produced was amazing. The quality from such a small camera and you saw so much-much more than i have ever seen, so clearly research is a key before travelling. As for the comment about ''Poland being Russia light'' it was, after all, the Russian Red Army that saved Krakow in War 2 and Poland has some 2 million Ukrainians making up the shortfall in the labour market.
I don't understand everyone's offense. It's their view of Poland. No different than if people were visiting the United States. eez, its just their experience.
A bun with a slice of cheese and lettuce brought memories from school excursions in Poland. Such nothing but it tasted so good after walking around. I am guessing it's one of those leftover communist-era traditions, but I am too young to know for sure. Your wife is a trooper for coping so well in the salt mine. I can totally relate. Really nice vlog! .
So grateful to you for your time and attention. What a beautiful place filled with beautiful people. And my wife is now prouder than ever to be Polish.
I did not think I would watch this from start to end, but I did. Every time I thought I had had enough, something changed the direction, drawing me in again. I am so happy that Salty is doing well. I sent the link to several people I care about--none of them will watch it. However, I told them that if (we intend to go in May 2020) my wife and I were to post a 100 minutes in Krakow, it would be similar.
Nice pictures BUT you are totally unprepared for this trip. You looking at 14the century church - St. Mary's Basilica and the only thing you can say is "the birds"?
What camera are you using to record? And do you use Google Fi for your cell phone??....since the phone just worked? Hoping my phone will just work there with an eSIM.
The camera is a GoPro Hero 7. And the phone is an iPhone 7, and TMobile is the carrier, so I think that's why it 'just worked'. The TMobile plan is good for Data/Texting anywhere in USA, Canada, and Europe. Calls cost extra, though.
No ale to pewnie wynika z innego wychowania i innego pojmowania świata. Następnej próby obejrzenia czegokolwiek tego autora już nie podejmę.
Here's a rough translation of this thorough and scathing review. A finer ad-hominem you will not find: I came here by accident and this film only irritated me. Not even the movie itself, but the author's comment. I don't know if it just seems to me, but the filmmakers are the only people visible in the film who don't smile and are so tense, they have some kind of stiffness in their eyes as if they were preparing for some siege. Resentment beats for a mile from them, even across the screen, and then they are surprised that people have a bad opinion of them. I also travel around the world and I have the joy of traveling. I talk to people, everything interests me, and most of all I prepare myself for my travels. Well, it probably results from a different upbringing and a different understanding of the world. I will not make another attempt to see anything by this author.
@@DenisKitchen Well i like to explained something Polish dont smile to other cos it be feel to akward., 44 years of comunism inprint us a disbelive to other person from year to year we trying to change this mental point of view.

It looks like the city government has turned the city center into pedestrian walking streets not that one i saw in 1984 when i could drive there with my car.😀
So much of our trip was spent outdoors. From what I've heard, the virus doesn't stand a chance in the sun. According to the travel bureau... "As of Saturday, June 13th, 2020 Poland has opened its borders, lifted travel restrictions, and the mandatory quarantine for nationals of the European Union, EFTA, EOG, and Switzerland, who are now free to travel and transit through Poland. - Face covering is no longer mandatory in public spaces if the social distancing is observed. Face covering is still mandatory in stores, public transportation, houses of worship, etc. - Occupancy restrictions for stores, restaurants, coffee shops, markets, houses of worship, and post office are lifted. Practicing social distancing still in effect. - Gatherings and outdoor concerts up to 150 persons are now permitted. - Hotels, movies, theaters, opera houses, fitness clubs, swimming pools, tanning salons, massage parlors, event halls are open with some restrictions.
Denis Kitchen that’s great! God I hope it works, time will tell. Some of the colleges that opened in the states are having outbreaks, don’t know details. Stay safe!

@@DenisKitchen Dennis, you won't believe me but I reviewed your clip from 00:00 till 01:38, which ended to me somewhere round 02:30AM. For example I watched some clips about attractions in my own city of which I didn't know (!) and one week of this August vacations I'm spending in a place in Poland which I only found watching a Ukrainian immigrant's clip. So, of your hearty and touching short Wow story I'll try and remember your 'Are we in Wonderland?' remark :). Boredom ! A superfluous comment - viewers also have their own reason and knowledge! Instead of Poland and beautiful Krakow, for half an hour we watch only the noses and bellies of the authors and listen to the monotonous monologue. Old Poles say: once you see it much more and more truly than 1000 words. Impression: Ignorance and "frustrating" the majority of tourists from the West contrasts with the vivid mental acuity and erudition of the average tourist from Russia, Slovakia, Belarus, Ukraina etc.
there was time when on the right side of the square in front of Sukiennice tourists and some locals used to feed the pigeons. There were 100s of them crowded together in that one particular place. When we were kids we'd get a kick out of chasing them around or them chasing us (by foot) for food. People that sell obwarzanki used to also sell seeds, but we stupidly fed them the bread instead. Couple of years ago there was a huge discussion about stopping that tradition, due to dummies like us who fed them bread and the fact that the damn birds pooped on everything. I think it's officially forbidden right now, but a lot of birds stayed as you can tell. (I'm at 31:07 of the video)
Back pack The problem behind feeding birds with bread is not them pooping everywhere. The problem is that feeding them with bread or alike is slowly killing those birds. It’s compared to feeding kids with donuts all the time but is much worse in its effects. The similarity being only that a kid would always choose a donut over carrot etc. that’s what birds do and what is mistakenly taken for what really suits them. They can’t be wrong, right? Well, boiled carrot is way better but when I tried, yep, they turned away from me and went straight towards people offering them bread:). Bread stays in them and an acid is formed which gradually damages their intestines and they die in pain. I hope over time with proper education and law this tradition will change.
