Sure there is corruption and things like the power generation and food production should have been invested in and improved, but 90% of the population live a better life now than then.

I listened to the show this morning and the interviewer was pro Israeli, with how he dealt with callers.
He interrupts all the time without letting Mr Regev to say anything that the interviewer doesn't agree with

Excellent journalism. Regev is a very eloquent , clever , knowledgable spokeman and apologist for the Israeli government . Lewis's questions and logic in holding him to account were polite whilst being extremely incisive.

Today, while Israel was in court "defending" themselves, another journalist was killed. Sure, it's all a coincidence. End of october, if I recall correctly, Zvi Yehezkeli of Channel 13 said on air that israel generally knows who is supposed to be targeted. He said, at that time they were targeting the family of an Al Jazeera journalist. They meant Wael al-Dahdouh. His wife, two of his kids and one grandson were killed during this attack. No country should enjoy this kind of impunity.

Actually 20k is an underestimate, only the people going through hospitals. People who are lost or under the rubble don't even count. Actual number must be well over 30k. So sad he even challenges this. I met Regev once briefly, thought such a likeable, decent person. So sad to see it was just a facade.
