I think people lost the plot on rushing TDs and individual stats for QBs, i blame the media. You have to check how many TD the team got overall. 22 rushing TD, of which Allen got 15. Compare that to baltimore, who also have a "rushing" quarterback: 26 rushing TD, of which Lamar Jackson had 5. How many scramble 8+yard for TD? 3 each. How many draw of 4+yards? 3 for allen, 1 for LJ. How many draws from inside the 4? 1 for Jackson, 9 for Allen. In Bmore, those 9 would have gone to Running backs or schemed to rookies WR to insert them into the team.

Right and it's not Most Valuable Team award it's the Most Valuable Player award. Most Valuable Player to his team and no one means more to their team than Allen in this argument. Among the Big names remove them for a game manager journeyman qb. Ravens make the wildcard at least. Chiefs most likely make the wildcard or at least win 9. The Bills wouldn't win 5-6 games this year without Allen to make up for all they do not have. Allen 2023 is the definition of MVP. Last 5 MVP awarded qbs have scored at least 40 tds. Only Allen did this year. Last 8 MVP's scored at least 35 tds. Jackson has only 29. That is not an MVP, which is one of the best arguments. History matters especially recent history during this era.

The problem is despite Josh's heroics his team was never dominant nor was it considered as one of the top teams in the NFL. Look. The award is highly subjective. I'm still surprised they are giving it to Lamar. I still think, at best, it will be a co-MVP. But to think Josh performed at a higher level than Lamar is just crazy. touchdowns - 43
      Josh Allen 2023 stats:
      total yards - 4,830
      touchdowns - 44
It's ok to say you think someone else had a better year and should be mvp, but the way he scoffs at even the idea of Josh Allen being in the conversation is hilarious. I really do think it's him doing anything he can to knock down anyone that could be a threat to mahomes as the best qb in the league. It's amazing how often he flip flops with the bills especially this year. First he said they won't even make the playoffs, then they talk about if bills should even be favorites especially with their defense missing so many starters and the receivers being practically even, but when the chiefs win he talks like it's an amazing accomplishment, but when it's time to talk about why it's a great accomplishment because surely something from the bills has to be great, the receivers weren't because they're even with the chiefs, the defense is full of holes from injuries, could it be the qb is great? No of course not...

The numbers for Mahomes and Allen passing are extremely close, extremely. I don't understand the Josh Allen Hate.
MVP: Most Valuable Player. Josh Allen is by far the MOST valuable player on his team, a team which made the playoffs, and lost to what could be the eventual champions.

Josh Allen definitely has no business being in the MVP conversation. C'mon man, he threw like, what, 20 picks? You can make a case for Purdy.

Having CMC and Purdy on the same list just shuts down the argument for both. All the casuals that was claiming first Purdy deserve it untill he got exposed against the ravens and went to CMC. So how you gone think one of em is the MVP when y’all don’t even know who is the most valuable player in your own team 😂

@MODatHTDH ok then he wouldn't be in that seasons mvp race. But when you are leading in multiple qb stats on a #1 seed team you get to be in the conversation. He could turn into a pumpkin for the rest of his career and it wouldn't change what he did this season

I remember watching a game in 2011 after Harbaugh took over. Down 23-3 against the eagles, on the road, and just before the half I see Jim lean in on Alex Smiths ear and he whispers something and then they make an unbelievable comeback the next half, even though Smith fumbles the ball. He’s THAT kind of coach. Glad he’s sticking with the AFC and will also have to play his brother next year in LA. That will be a wild game.
