Some time ago when Iran had launched almost 400 projectiles on Isreal, Israeli leadership said that they would react at a time and place of their choosing. Rather than launching a counter strike on Iran and risking a war, it was a better option for them to simply eliminate the leadership of Iran. That way, Isreal avoided a war and also avenged the missile attack by Iran.

Though nothing can be said without any evidence but everything is possible seeing the history of President Raisi.
2. I don't agree that other countries may not be involved because only one leader was travelling. It may be possible that one by one the whole leadership gets eliminated.Please also note that it is not easy to eliminate all important persons by single strike. Also, those who does such things always have plan B and C.
3. Without concrete evidence no action should be taken by the Iranian government. Making baseless assumptions and threatening other countries may be counterproductive.

SPG and NSG shud take note of these. Helicopters especially for VVVVIPs looks interferable , especially now when drones can be jamcrashed. CDS incident is also not too old.

The news is that the Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi died in a helicopter crash Sunday, May 19 , in the mountainous northwest region of Iran . The crash also claimed the lives of Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and other officials .
- The helicopter was flying over mountainous terrain in heavy fog.
- The crash occurred while President Raisi was returning from a visit to the border with Azerbaijan in Iran's northwest.
- The lives of Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian is said to be critical.
- Rescuers were struggling to reach the site of the incident due to bad weather.
- At least one passenger and one crew member had been in contact with rescuers from the crashed aircraft.
- The helicopter had been found, though Iran's Red Crescent denied this report.
- The incident comes at a time of growing dissent within Iran over an array of political, social, and economic crises.
This is very sad day indeed and all of India pray for Iran and all its people to tide over and overcome this big loss.
