What he says is true! In the mountains of west virginia I had to get a buick with a high torque low rpm v6. Some cars do not like the incline, even the oil in the motor is effected by the steep hills. You need 200lbs of torque per 4000 lbs minimum that model A is light and geared loooow.
Robbie Williams dont worry man theres always little government loving bitches like this guy who think the government is on there side. But there always the same ones who get there asses beat by the cops and robbed by the cops and then they stand around like dumbasses and go “how could this happen to me”. Fucking little bitches
I did meet him. He was a friend of a friend of people I knew. He was a piece of work. I also met Ernestine Upchurch, whom he used to see, for several years. She was very nice and personable.
My dad and his buddies all owned Model A's. There was a hill outside of town that they used to challenge each other to climb. The only way a Ford Model A would climb a steep hill was in reverse. The gas line was gravity fed .
A models will drive up a hill forwards since the gas tank is almost directly over the carburetor. My '31 pickup will crawl up a 35% grade in first no problem hauling what ever I can throw in the bed. Now the T was the car with the hill problem as the tank was almost level with the carb, they didn't like anything over a 15% grade.
He had such a simple way about him. He was almost childlike in that way. I think that a lot of mountain folks are that way, they don’t know how to be anything but their genuine selves, take it or leave it.

Rest easy to a simple soul. Sux popcorn took his life. All he would of had to do was less than a year in feds. His life was worth way more than 10 months in jail. $hit I would of done the time for him if it would of kept him alive. Much love/respect all of popcorns family/true friends. Tuning in all the way from Wilmington Delaware 2019.
Why in the world the feds would consider putting this elderly gentleman in prison is beyond me. Okay, he liked to make a little bit of moonshine. He was later diagnosed with terminal cancer, what harm was he going to do? Just leave the old man alone, and let him pass his days in peace. Good grief!
Nipsey Sutton :) nipsey hussle oddly resembles Mr. Sutton Thank you for sharing this. A Ford "Model A" puts down about 1 foot pound of torque at the flywheel for every 18lbs of curb weight. Around 125 LBS/FT of torque at 2300 rpms for a 1200kg* car with a 3 liter engine. You bet she pulls!
@@doctorsquirts3643 Vehicles geared lower have more pulling power in general. It's why when you're going uphill in a manual car you need to drop to the lower gears to be able to get past that incline.
This car weighs 2200 lbs for a pickup and 2500 for a sedan. The 128lb-ft of torque is multiplied by 3.07 in first gear through the transmission and 3.78 through the rear axle. Thats 1485lb-ft of torque. Equivalent to a Cat D2 crawler of similar vintage

No doubt. Reminds me of a lot of the old timers from when I was a kid growing up in Alabama. Most those guys are either passed away or too old to leave the house much anymore. Just don't see too many like them around anymore.
The Married Couple he was a old moonshiner that never bothered anyone and he didn’t hide the fact that he made moonshine either and someone ratted on him and he got busted in 1974 and he never stopped making moonshine and he got caught again in 1998 and he got prosecuted and was supposed to serve 18 months but he was already old as hell and when he didn’t show up to the prison the government feds raided his house and he shot himself in the head when they came in the door. Like popcorn said himself “i paid taxes on the corn, the jars, the sugar, and the copper so i don’t think I’m braking the law” well the government didn’t like that they were not getting there cut of the money so they drove the peaceful old man to kill himself because he wasn’t going to spend the last little bit of his life in prison. The government is corrupt as fuck but they love to try to portray him as a huge criminal to hide the fact that there corrupt ass thieves who will kill and blackmail to get there way.
