- Dr. Tony Evans and his family share their thoughts about the sudden passing of their close family member, Wynter Pitts. In this candid conversation, they address questions we have about God, especially during very difficult moments when things don’t make sense. Please join us in keeping the Pitts and Evans families in our prayers.
After 3 miscarriages, I found faith in the Lord again. After the 3rd one, I learned how to pray and thanked God for what he has done. From that, I am one hundred percent convinced I will make through with my next pregnancy with God’s grace.
Love his comment: "If you get rid of God, you've still got your problem." What a truth to remember in the bad times!

It's been 7 months since my 11 year old daughter passed from cancer and each and every day has been difficult! I pray, stay in the Word and stand in faith on God's promises. With all that being said, it's still hard. I can only trust in God!! Thank you Evans family 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 "The Lord loved Khloé, but he determined it was her time. God knows what he's doing even though we don't like what he's doing." I will try to meditate on those words each day!

I watched your dad breaking up talking about her in her last days, I wept but because when he spoke of her I knew they were strong even in the storm and her talking about a reward she was seeing waiting on her. I love all of you and praying for you, this world will always be filled with hurt and evil but our hope is the hope of eternal peace in heaven.

This is so raw, real and transparent. No fake show here. Christian's are not perfect. We hurt and struggle with life challenges too, but as Pastor Tony Evans said, he believes what he preaches. We believe in the hope that we have in Christ. We believe that heaven is real. We believe that God loves us no matter what and showed us that by sacrificing His only Son. We believe in eternal life.

This conversation was so transparent. Dr.Toney is full of wisdom, and God. He answered these questions in such a profound way in the middle of a crisis, the loss of his niece.

Actually, Sherita, they don't really believe. Here's the deal: When Jehovah sent two prophets to inform Tony to give up his large church, all his things, his clout, etc., Tony's response: "Well, God can tell me Himself...". This is a man who loves his title, "Dr.", and preaches on prophets who warn God's people. But when he was warned, he rebuked it -- same for his wife.

I connect to that pain,disappointment and anger. I lost a brother in August 2021, adopted his daughter and went into this dark hole of misery and anxiety. Eight months later I lost my mom. Please pray for me and my family especially the daughter who battled to accept the father's passing and now the grandmother who raised her

When I found my loved one after he took his life, I was obviously in disbelief and shock. I took him down and I had a strong pressing on my heart and mind that was telling me to praise God. I retreated to a corner and I began to sing a praise song to The Lord. It was not a normal reaction, given the kind of death which had just happened. I didn’t question it; I simply obeyed. I truly truly believe that in that moment, the hold the enemy THOUGHT he had, was broken and he fled. We are to praise God in ALL circumstances. God inhabits our praise. All glory be to God!!
What an inspiring, faith building testimony is this family during their time of grief. I am in Australia, unaware of these people but so glad I watched this.
It is easy to praise God during the good times but to hold strong to the promises and goodness of God in times like this is very challenging indeed.

Dr. Evans, your wisdom, compassion, humility and grace has me in utter awe! I love how your children are showing such care and respect for you and, how you are gazing at them hearing their hearts as they share and, loving them individually with a simple look as you respond to each of their questions. Lost my Mom at 10 years old. My Mom was 33 years old with 4 children...12, 10, 8 and 6. We were raised Catholic without a relationship with Jesus but because of church and the support we got through. At 52 years old I received Jesus and it is so much easier to see where He put His hand on my life. Thank you for sharing your heartache being so raw and thank you for being transparent! Pastor Evans, because I've loss my older brother Tommy from cancer in 2015, my next older brother John Jr. eleven months later 2016, while our Mom go through drastic chemotherapy and radiation from cancer that started to spread. Then our Beloved Mom passed away in 2018, where I became her Mom, my dear Grandma whose suffering from last stage of Alzheimer's disease in a Nursing home. Then during this Pandemic I couldn't see my Grandma after March whereas God took her home last month July 2020. But Thank you Pastor when you said, "when we feel like giving up God, we still will have our problems or the deaths i have endured. You're right Sir, I couldn't get through this with my Lord and Savior ✝.
I needed this! I loss my mom one year ago and its been very hard coping with life as it is now. I'm grateful God allowed me to see this 😊

Tony was never anointed, madam. He doesn't have the gift of healing, so why would he use the title of "Dr." before the title of "pastor"? It's the pride of man that he and his wife had fallen to.

Jehovah says, enough with the soft peddling of biblical words that only serve to keep folks in denial and asleep. Here is a perfect example: You, madam, don't feel the spirit of Jesus moving you. There is a reason for that. It's people like me who cut through the garbage words of these prophets who are teetering on being false. They have no real experiences with God so they can't point folks like you in the right direction. When Jehovah tells me to do something, He speaks directly to me. I rock left to right everyday because His spirit moves me. He shows me who isn't saved and who is. You are in the former of that group, madam. But you want me to sit here and shut my damn mouth if I don't have a nice thing to say when I know for a fact these folks are going to burn in hell. Really? Not me, sister! I'm ringing that alarm as the Lord will have me to do.
From 2002 to 3/2017 I lost my entire immediate family-Father, Brother, another Brother and Mother. I have no one left and it is the worst feeling of loneliness. I have 2 aunts, 3 uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and 2 sons but all are living their own lives and have no time for me. I pray none of them ever experience this hurt. I am asking GOD to make me genuine in my prayers and feelings for good for each of them and to love them. I pray to GOD for help and healing.

Bernadine, I know how this feeling of lonliness can take over and drag you down. I was there once, myself. Remember, God will never leave you. Even when you do not physically feel His presence, He is always there with you. Reach out to Him , tell Him how lonely you are, and let Him be there for you ! You can reach out to others , also. We are all parts of God's family, brothers and sisters in Christ. We are to Always be there for one another, and when we see one of us hurting, the others should be there to help that one out, to help them be able to stand again. Pastors & Ministers, Grief is horrific and it comes in waves! You cannot explain Grief, it is horrific, it goes deep and those of us who desire to comfort are at a loss for words! The Scriptures tell us that the LAST ENEMY to be destroyed is Death! Our mind has to many times work its way of catching up with what we were informed & the one gone is in fact gone! Death is evil! Our God experienced it, to give us hope! We are not exempt for us, that In this World we will have Trials & Tribulations. Evil comes to both Lost & Saved! It rains on the just & unjust! God is not impressed with this evil / Sickness / Death! God knows not like death, He Hates Death like we hate it!

I watched my husband as he has watched and listened to Dr. Evans through the 30 plus years of our marriage and I know that some of his greatness can be attributed to this solid godly man. He exemplifies godliness in the midst of all circumstances and allows others to see it. My daughters and I are blessed because of it. Thank you Dr. Evans.
I cried throughout most of this video - I can honestly say the rawness of emotion, honesty and faith in this video was extremely powerful! Thank you Evans family for remaining faithful in your calling, even in the face of unimaginable loss. I am left inspired, touched and grateful for Dr. Evans' wisdom and reminder there is victory in serving a sovereign God, no matter the outcome. I watched another interview before this one and she said that she would be up till 3 in the morning writing and getting the pictures of the books 'just right' and she couldn't stop and go to bed. Now, we understand WHY she was pushing herself so hard and Not be tired - just driven, compelled even to get it done. And now, her babies have books that will be here to bless them and others til the end of time. She ran her race and she finished her course....Well Done Wynter, is what I say and I pray that Jesus says the same on that Great Day!!! Debisi I HAVE THE MIND OF CHRIST. I’m so sorry for your tragedies. I’ve had a similar year this year. The worst of my life! My sister-in-law died in May, after suffering for 18 months from a severe case of lupus. I’m a mother of four children, 3 boys and 1 girl. On July 6, I found my only daughter unresponsive in her bed. She was 21 years old, not sick, healthy as an ox, was an athlete, lettered in 4 varsity sports, and was going to be a senior at Harvard in the fall. She just stopped breathing, and could not be resuscitated. I am a physician, and have had to do CPR on other people in my training and experiences, but performing it on my own child was the worst thing I’ve ever had to do. I am also an ordained minister, and my father is the Bishop of our church, so we had to trod this same path that we see depicted in this video. All I can say is that God’s grace is sufficient, bc He has given us strength to forge ahead. I pray for all of us who have suffered great losses. May God continue to comfort us all.

I love that Anthony says, " I don't go to hope quick. I go to anger quick, but I don't go to hope quick." I just love his honestly and I just love that his father accepted that truth and honored his son by giving him the tools to work that out within himself. I like that he, in essence, gave him permission to act out genuinely. That's what Our Father wants in us and I celebrate that Anthony has both a godly earthly father and the God almighty One as his own. This is an encouragement to all of us that align with Anthony and say with him that "I don't go to hope quickly.
Another thought.......those little girls needed and need both their Uncle Tony and their cousin Tony and all that they are and are so willing to give. I rejoice and celebrate their differences and their gifts at this time and am encouraged that Our Father is able to work out Himself out in and through each of us.
I thought similar Terri ..though the pain of loss, MY GOD no better family to leave these little girls and the hsband in than the Evans family ...I almost wonder if God said, I'm not worried these girls and Jonathan will be just fine ...because I already set it up that all these years before 2018 I've built this family structure of BOND and LOVE and LOVE and FAITH and CHRIST! ....

I wouldn’t give this a thumbs down because I like Tony Evans, he teaches some good things in fact lots of good things, but I can say that the doctrine he is teaching in this clip is rooted in religion and not spirituality. I won’t tear down a man of God, but I will teach the truth of Gods Word. He said evil comes from God’s fingers...that is false, evil comes from satan( we really don’t give satan enough credit and in this clip they blamed everything on God) . Satan comes to kill steal and destroy, God comes to give you life, so what place does life have with death or do blessings and curses live in the same Body??? Mr. Evans and his children spoke with doubt and doubt immediately cancels out faith that’s why God said “believe and doubt NOT! ... he also said God will probably heal and maybe He won’t. “Probably” means he has doubt or unsurety. Why would anyone have unsurety about what God can do? Think about it, did david doubt when he slayed Goliath, Did Daniel doubt when he was in the lions den, Did shadrach, Meshach and Abednego say “God will probably deliver us?” The minute man allows doubt to creep in, it starts to cancel out your faith. Ur faith is activated by being fully persuaded that God is a Healer, God is a deliverer etc. it’s hard to apply in day to day life when u are faced with that experience, but nothing is too hard for the Holy Spirit! The daughter with the black dress on asked how do we walk in bold faith when we have nothing but past experience? The answer to that is we lean not unto our own understanding but in YOUR faith you rely on God in all things and not rely on past experience of not being able to climb the mountain before you. You look at the mountain and remember that God said, do not fear for I am with you and I will direct your path, I will fight this battle, with You I leave My Spirit and you will do all the things I have done and MORE! That folks is what you rely on. The problem is they are trying to answer the why’s and sometimes we just don’t know why God allows something. But one thing I know for sure, if this family spoke “probably’s” over their lives, it canceled out their faith. Remember, life and death is in the power of the tongue and when u approach the throne with BOLDNESS, u approach it full assurances the Gods Word will do what it is commanded to do! As believers , we have the power to speak to the Spirit of death, sickness, disease, poverty, etc and command it back to hell from where it came. Problem is we are all rooted in unbelief and that makes me sad. I did pick up a few nuggets while watching this , just didn’t agree with everything he or they said.

When you have the mindset that you have, you will be disappointed. You, or I, cannot speak a damn thing away, when God decides that sickness, cancer, car wrecks, etc. are warranted. Jehovah says, every person in your life, sir, who had/has cancer, deserved it. Some tried to speak it away only to get sicker and ultimately die from it. And you know this to be true. This... speaking things out of existence, is false teaching, which erodes the faith, sir.
I'm crying so hard my throat is hurting, I love this family because they are lifting up Jesus even in tragedy. Pastor continue preaching even when you do not understand or always have an answer..sooo true we can never get rid of God. My hope is built on nothing less.

It's been two years (August 9) since my husband of nearly 54 years was tragically killed whenever a car under which he was working fell on him and crushed him to death instantly. This is the third time that I have watched this video during these last two years and I'm sure I'll watch it again. The questions asked by your children, Dr. Evans, and the answers you provided continue to soothe me when I find that the waves of sorrow knock me totally down even after two years. How hard this must have been for Pastor Tony to counsel his family and his congregation in the midst of his own grieving. What a powerful testimony of his faith. Grateful to have had the opportunity to see this.
This what what I needed to hear. My son died suddenly at 38yrs old on July 3 2018. If I had not had a relationship with God I would be a looney tune right now. I thank you for sharing this very real event because it happen in every family. I learned to focus on his life and not his death. My church family helped me so much i thank God for his comforting goodness.

I remember my Pastors coming to see me when I was in the hospital suffering with t1 diabetes complications even at my first diagnosis , my sugar was almost 800. Also later on they visited me when I was in diabetic dka which can be deadly. I was just blessed by them visiting me. They were there before any other many times . It was a blessing
I so needed this,my daughter got serverly burned,long story short my son was the cause of it all.I asked God over and over again why ? Every time my daughter is screaming in pain and crying.out.to God and she is still in pain I ask why? But I have to remind myself every time I have to praise God my beautiful daughter is still alive.I had to forgive my son because first of God said I had too.I was very angry but he is still my son and he was being a "stupid" teen .I just hope he learns from this and thinks before he does things.I hope this experience Brings us all closer to God.I get discouraged sometimes but I can't go through this and let the devil win!My daughter is still alive and healing❤

Such profound words! "You have to put the badness of a situation against the history of God's goodness!" Just wow! This is perspective right here. I remember when I lost my mom 5 years ago, I prayed and believed God for her healing. I lost my only brother 3 months after that suddenly and I believed God for his recovery. The only thing that salvaged me or kept me sane is the grace of God! He insolated me. It's hard to explain but I felt the enemy trying to give me permission to lose my mind or to give up on my faith in God by rationalizing the situation. I played the scenarios over and over in my head. How could this happen, but Thank God for his Holy Spirit! He began to minister to me and remind me of Jesus' love and compassion. I had to face the truth that I was angry with God although I knew not to be. My heart was pulling away from him! That truth and the acceptance of his love began healing me. My prayers are with this family and especially those babies! I pray that you all experience the tangible love of God through the comfort of his Spirit!

04.18.2020 I lost my father to colon cancer.In the midst of a pandemic, I was not able to be next to him in his final moments. I am hurting so bad because I he transitioned alone. I pray that he will go peacefully, and that he did. I miss him terribly. My dad was my best friend. He was a charmer,loving,funny,smart. I made peace with him going, but I'm struggling with the fact that he went alone in a nursing home. I was able to hear him the night before he went to hear him tell me he loves me. My heart is heavy and I'm praying God for peace. This video is amazing. God is amazing in despite of whats happening in our world. I give him thanks and all Glory. Thanks for this post.
Seeing the big brother's reactions and based on my own experiences, I can conclude that we need pain so we can Listen. Pain opens our hearts, so we can listen and internalize the truth, which we might have heard all life.

Am watching this today Oct 26th,i lost my mum in 2016 😭and if there is anything that I always prayed for was to keep my mother's life. I wanted to make my mother proud of me in everything, I wanted to do everything that I knew was going to put a smile on her face, I wanted to present my mother with a thank you cake on my wedding as it is our tradition in my country, I wanted my mother to see and nurse her own grandchildren I know how she would have been happy but despite always praying for my mums long life she died and at a time we needed her the most in our lives, dad died when I was less than a year and mum told me that dad cried on his sick bed praying to God for him to preserve his life so he could live to raise his girls(my big sister and I) my mum cried and prayed the same prayer when she was in pain but in the end she said father let your will be done . When she died, I realized that my mum and dad both prayed for life on their sick bed but God did not grant it. I never asked God why instead I put all my trust and faith in him I said lord let your will be done, I can't tell for dad but I grew up with mum and I Said mum run her race with her God it's up to me to run mine with my God as well. Jehovah is a living God
In my search for comfort as I try to understand God calling my beloved and devoted daughter to Himself on August 21, 2019 I came across this God-sent video. My heart is shattered because of Kim’s passing and that makes both of my children, my only 2 that God gave to me are now with Him, Kim and Kevin. I have found comfort through this family, through Pastor Evans’ words of sacred wisdom. Thank you for these words of life, for eternal wisdom.

Dr. Evans lost his wife Lois in November 2019. She was 70. She succumbed to a rare form of cancer. This hurts. This really hurts. I am a Christian. I have a STRONG relationship with My Lord. But IT STILL HURTS. God healed Winter AND Lois. But He healed them in Glory and not on earth. Yes, I weep as I watch -knowing joy will come in the morning. O God, restore to them the joy of their salvation...
My father just died very suddenly as well and WOW talk about overwhelming... which that word still doesn't justify what I feel. Love this forum though and the questions are the same ones I've been having lately. I am so glad he asked about not going to "hope" quick and "anger" instead... It's easy for those who are not in your situation and not feeling the hurt of loss to say, "oh just have faith" or "just know he's in a better place" totally skipping over the fact that anger, hurt, denial, sadness, grief are all apart of it as well. Some people like to just sweep feelings like that under the rug but I'm so glad it was dealt with here. I had to watch this in sections, it was very, very emotional for me, I had to stop several times and just cry because this message really spoke to my heart and to my very situation. This really helps, thank you for posting!
