    Hi My Webcam has 4 wire
    Red no 1, white no 2, green no 3, black no 4
    Which cable do I need to connect to the VTX

      check the manual for your camera to see if the white or the green is your video cable then pretend that that one is the yellow cable in the video and follow his steps

    Out of curiosity, what is the purple cable for?

      I think it's a UART line for the configuration settings

    Thanks, it was very helpful. I want the fpv camera to connect to my windows tab and also be able to record videos and take pictures. Is that possible?

    • @BonzaiFPV
      @BonzaiFPV  2 года назад

      Windows tab as in windows tablet? If so there are a few different OTGUSB adapters. One is made by skydroid, another by eachine. They are described as "android and iOS fpv adapters" I have used the skydroid on an android. The skydroid might be able to connect to windows, not sure. www.getfpv.com/skydroid-5-8ghz-otg-dual-antenna-fpv-receiver-for-android-smartphone.html?gclid=Cj0KCQjw4uaUBhC8ARIsANUuDjULofL3zogvgEagHvjN0pyQQb7KIZ7HSbAr1emuv1Uuvp3lFTbx36UaAuFNEALw_wcB
      Alternatively the way I got FPV to a windows PC is I bought a "RCA to USB Video capture adapter". You then plug the fpv video into the RCA adapter and it let's you play / record it in realtime on VLC or a media player . Hope this helps. Thanks for watching.

    So I can use my old fpv camera as CCTV?

    Is it possible to connect the fpv camera directly to a lcd display? And if yes can you briefly explain how?

    • @BonzaiFPV
      @BonzaiFPV  2 года назад +1

      yes, sorry I thought this video covered it , but yeah kinda hard to tell. so basically your fpv camera has 3 main pins comming out the back. one is power + one power - and then usually a yellow "video out" you connect the power to a 5volt or whatever source and then you connect the yellow to an RCA cable positive and then you use the power - and connect it to the video negative ground. lemme know if this makes sense if not I'll make a new video. thanks for watching:)

      @@BonzaiFPV Another question, I need to connect my fpv camera to a really small display, about 2 inches, but the displays i find in this size are have some other kind of input called spi/i2c, what do i need to put inbetween the display and the fpv camera to connect then?

    • @BonzaiFPV
      @BonzaiFPV  2 года назад +2

      that's actually a whole other "can of worms" they say I2c because they connect with a serial interface and display information , usually in textual form. they are more designed for displaying data. I think INAV has options to interface with them and add an "oled display" but I dont think they will work as an fpv monitor without some kind of special LCD driver. you see them on alot of arduino / raspberry pi projects etc.

    cool, thanks but the other way to connect is...?

    • @BonzaiFPV
      @BonzaiFPV  Месяц назад

      Lol 🤔 I was trying to remember. Pretty sure I soldered it directly to the RCA connector (they are usually cheap steel connectors) and they take solder pretty well (kinda "skeezy" because you basically make a RCA connector into a semi-permanent connection) thanks 👍

    so how would i connect it to my laptop?

    • @BonzaiFPV
      @BonzaiFPV  Месяц назад

      You would need a video to USB adapter. Or a capture card. Search "RCA to USB"

    If you connect a device to a 5v 2a power supply, you are looking at a constant voltage power supply. The current is variable. The device should theoretically pull current until it doesn't need any more. Unless it is rated for a lower voltage, or for some reason needs a constant voltage and constant current (like a laser diode), then any 5v source with enough amps to power the device should work fine.

    Flux is good but most solder has it in it already.. The "trick" to soldering is tinning the wires first!
