Howdy any new folks who stumble into this video, Zombie mode has been slightly changed, as in it's a lot harder to tell which bots are supposed to be the 'hard' bots, and which one the fodder bots. Once you reach 1M: You can start the endgame. Make sure you stay above 800K when sending, or else the bots can decide to cluster all their forces into one nation and reverse steamroll you. If you have at least 4 other players playing *roughly* the same way, regardless of the amount of bad players, you're bound to win. HOWEVER! It's also crucial to pick the right spawn location, and this is where you still *need* the bad players, even if they act as a temporary buffer. You want to space yourself a medium sized distance away from one, or preferably two players in a triangle shape. By medium distance, I mean precisely ONE enemy bot in between you and them. In my practice sessions with bots I've found that every time I've done it, it's resulted in an amazing early game, where you can cover the bots, and the bots can cover you. Using this strat, I generally win singleplayer 9/10 times. Multiplayer is a bit more tricky because of the bad players, however the main idea is that the bots focus is split between you and your allies. This would allow you to take *immediate* action the moment a bot sends on your ally, claiming their land, as well as stopping that bot from being able to follow up on that attack by getting help from others. It's also key not to all spawn as a group, having 2-3 clusters is highly beneficial, which could mean you intentionally spawn yourself next to two AI. Landlocking AI is probably a good idea, but only, and I really mean, ONLY do it if you can *afford* to do it. This includes your spawn location, don't try and forcefully spawn yourself in rough terrain just to land lock an AI, they generally won't be able to help you with supplies until around 2 minutes has passed. (semi-mid game)
Waiting for red interest doesn't work so well because the bots are sending support around the map as well. It doesn't always trigger super hard, but you definitely notice it when you are in the position the entire bot army seems to focus on supporting. In the mountains map i spawned in the "cut off valley" with 4 bots and myself, no way to get in or out... I thought It woudl be fine, I took more land than the super-bot, ate the little bots, and then at 61 seconds the enemy bot suddenly went from 100K to 500K and ate me. Don't wait, the bots feed. The overall map control % is the most important thing in this mode I think.
Overall map control percentage is so important in this mode. I try to focus on helping my neighbors secure our local region of the map to get that chunk of the map for my team, and hope other areas of the map manage to do the same. I really think CG is shooting himself in the foot by playing patient in the early-mid game and not helping his team grind down the nearby big bots.
I found out that you should always attack the zombie with the most Land. When you somewhere safe, just look at the leaderboard which zombie is at the top and send money to the surrounding allies. It also depends heavily on the map. The map with the island in the middle for example can be pretty easy when you safe the island and help the ones in the outer circle to fight around
CG i have already won alot of zombie games. I slowly focussed down the weaker bots and i tried to play together with the noobs and focus down the stronger ones early game and punish them hard. Also its important to not take over all the border against a strong bot and leave some for your teammates so you can push them down together.
I remember finally winning and defeating against zombie bots in a world map. I began by spawning on Iceland, and made my way across Greenland. The bots were easy to defeat. I then proceed to expand onto the Canadian islands, and then finally onto the North American mainland and I eventually won. So, I recommend spawning on a not-too-near island because bots rarely send their boats to islands except those nearby, so save up your troops and make your way slowly on mainland.
I saw myself in a couple of your games! That's always cool. I really do think the key to this game mode is early aggression. The map starts off with about four times more bots than humans, you NEED to make up some of that disparity before the bots get out of control. Work with your team to take down the stronger bots in your area until your local region of the map is fairly secure, THEN play patient and build up your troops. The problem is your team needs to do this in several places around the map so the zombies don't end up controlling three fourths of the land and donating all their troops to attack the few remaining humans. It's very difficult for a single player to have a significant impact on the team's performance by themselves.
Just wanted to add onto what I said. Try thinking of the entire zombie team as one enemy. The big strong bots seem to generate troops faster than the weak bots. This means that attacking the weak bots doesn't do very much damage to your enemy, while playing patient and letting the strong bots sit means your enemy builds up strength. So the playstyle you've developed revolves around not hurting the enemy very much while letting them build up big numbers of troops. Your current strategy for this game mode is better suited to the late game when the zombie expansion is at least somewhat under control. Early game you need to be more aggressive, and encourage your allies to join in that aggression. The strong bots can 1v1 most players early on so you need to convince a couple of teammates to help you gang up and take them down. Expand aggressively in the early game (although avoiding borders with too many strong bots is a good idea, of course), and try to make sure your team secures more land than the zombies. It's especially good to take land away from the strong bots.
Its a teamwork game, when someone spawns with you and they're attacking big dudes you need too as well, if you all attack 1 big dude you will have troops left to defend from any smaller dudes. There might be some bad players but there are a lot of vets, you ran into like 3-4. If someone 'unlocks' a big dude and begins attacking him, you need to do the same. The game isn't about solo its about teamwork
14:25 I’ve tried this on single player a while ago, literally put all the bots on very easy (200 bots only mind you) and they all target you instantly so basically you have like 200 pixels as the other team has like the rest of the map
the zombies are quick victory or no victory. because the advantage of being up against a a bunch of broken up enemies decays when you absorb a bunch of them, only to inevitably get eaten by a single enemy.
from what I noticed, a good strat is to find a place where you're closed in on two sides by either mountains or ocean without land across from it. This gives you a good fortified zone where you can easily push back against the zombies.
I think they really need to disable the zombies being able to donate to each other. It’s this combined with nooby teammates that really make the huge ones early on and really prevents even good players being able to claw back a victory.
Even though so far it's been losses so far, I'm anticipating the win. Meanwhile the struggle is making these the most interesting to watch matches so far.
I think if people are going to get rolled they need to surrender and give their land to their neighbours, ATM they quietly go down and make the zombies huge
Maybe I'm a masochist but I really enjoy watching this mode. There is as much value in learning what not to do than what to do...and there are A LOT of examples of what not to do in zombie mode.
I've noticed that in the time you wait to reach red interest the zombie zones close the gap in troops there was and then steamroll everyone around them maybe try to weaken them more before you wait for interest??
yes, waiting only makes them stronger, they are going to feed each other so taking out weak ones to get their land and close yourself off from as many zombie territories as possible (pushing them out of say, the corner of the island you're on) seems super important
You need to press your advantage early game. You often have 30x troops than all the little enemies around you. Then later when everyone is big you should creep more. It seems people are just too competitive to actually work together too
The trick is to expand as fast as possible while using the least amount of units to do so. Sometimes its bad placement, other times its bad team mates, but more often than not it's people using 30%(20,000 out of 66,000 selected) to kill a territory that only has strength of 128 and it puts them at risk temporarily but enemies take advantage of it and they die. When I'm at 50,000 Strength or above, I usually have below 8% selected when generally expanding, only need around a couple thousand to take advantage of low strength territories. When I'm picking a fight, then I'll increase it.
Waiting too long. Kill the weak ones as soon as possible. They are donating troops and the longer bots are left alive the worse the situation gets. Your objective needs to be to grab as much land as fast as possible. "buffer's" as you call it are a false hope all they do is mass donate to the monsters until the monster's donate to the frontline and steamroll someone.
I play the game in single player, two~six team, in very mode. In those mode that game is more touch then regular very easy. But I win for few time, your friend is too important, even they are robot or dirt. Because you need them to control the overall map condition, you need they give you a space to grow your force. And second, never two front, you can only deal one of the big emery. If there is no friend around you, you are meal. Friend will support the attacker(you or emery), so the small nation is also a power. When you are close to lose, eat more small nation as possible. Avoid the bigger one, even they are still eat you. For four team battle, keep the balance of emery, when green smaller, bigger the blue. The emery will fight each other.
I don't know if u will read this but maybe a discord for the commity and u can be the leader of it get everyone to spawn on one side of the map it will be cool asf if someone can get a win in this game mode it it will be cool to do sum with the CG community too anyway have a great day and 100k coming soon !!!
The only time I have ever won a zombie game was when I got locked onto islands, all my allies died, and the bots that appear if you don't have enough players won for me THE BOTS ARE BETTER THAN THE PLAYERS
If you want to expand, be sure to protect every chunk of land you have. Losing 25% of your land is basically the same as losing because you lose about twice as many unit per pixels of land than losing land. So losing 27 pixels out say 200 can your 20k units to drop down to 15-16k units. So if a zombie takes a significant part of your land, You're just screwed. You would have a large portion of your units destroyed or transferred and can let the zombie more easily conquer you, creating an unstoppable chain reaction resulting in you losing all of your land.
I've tried to play this mode by like having a few of us spawn close to each other, but people keep spawning spread out like it's a bot brawl and they can just 1v100 them.
The problem with this mode is that this game is impossible to win in a normal mode. For example you could be doing well but the people around you can easily give someone elsethe advantage over you which all in all translates horribly to this mode cuz basically you have to learn not to expand. Speaking of which the learning curve in this game is a nightmare in general.
I think the key is to be the Crown (and know to play), like if you become the Crown all the players are gonna help you with lots of troupes. I just won a game like this, and yes you need to have good teammates. Even an 1v3 is possible as the crown against the big guys (in my case). Btw I love your videos
you don’t work with the player’s interest. king kong benefits from taking out the guy that’s close to you, so weaken it enough for king kong to attack it. on the island that you spawned on take out the weaker of the three since you will still have more troops than the other two. regain troops and attack the next of the two remaining. just my opinion tho
I’ve played zombie mode and basically the zombie Ai makes the zombies that can’t attack give troops to the zombies that can attack that’s why your gonna want to take out as many zombies as you can before the map is filled with no free space left
“Wow this defensive perimeter of weak enemy zones sure is protecting me well from the strongest zombie on the field, I sure hope it will continue doing that” My “teammate”, about to spend all his troops to destroy all the weak zones around me: 😎
I dont play the game much but heres my strat Knock out the donating support base for those giants. If the interest is factoring in, the smaller ones are donating and making it all back much faster then the bigger ones are building up. Low troops = attack.
I find zombie to be pretty easy. Just expand a bit on your own, and then focus on just once you touch a zombie zone take it and don't do much expanding into the empty board. Then it becomes about if you can click fast enough to keep expanding into each zombie zone you touch as quickly as possible
The only way to get the big bots before they get massive is to get them at the very begging you can tell if they are big when they expand faster than others

Please don’t give up on this mode. It gets boring seeing you win everytime in the same way.
Zombies:
Zombie Toucher:
Zombies: "AYO WHAT THE FU-"
Its a teamwork game, when someone spawns with you and they're attacking big dudes you need too as well, if you all attack 1 big dude you will have troops left to defend from any smaller dudes. There might be some bad players but there are a lot of vets, you ran into like 3-4. If someone 'unlocks' a big dude and begins attacking him, you need to do the same. The game isn't about solo its about teamwork
14:25 I’ve tried this on single player a while ago, literally put all the bots on very easy (200 bots only mind you) and they all target you instantly so basically you have like 200 pixels as the other team has like the rest of the map
the zombies are quick victory or no victory. because the advantage of being up against a a bunch of broken up enemies decays when you absorb a bunch of them, only to inevitably get eaten by a single enemy.
this game mode would be much better if you could play it with selected friends
I read the same thing in some comments, even though you are loosing the matches, your zombie videos are really fun to watch
I love how he shows his losses aswell, it makes the content feel more real
This is actually my favorite game mode because it's the one where you actually have to work together the most
That feels sad when your teammates suck and you are the only one left with like 50 enemies
13:38 the PG ratings are strong with this one.
True. Played 6 times. Won once. The resf of the time everyone played as if they had a truch with the zombies....
U won???! I played like 30, no wins yet
What if you stream this mode and try to set up a strat with viewers ?
That's a good idea
It's a good idea actually
Stream snipers
from what I noticed, a good strat is to find a place where you're closed in on two sides by either mountains or ocean without land across from it. This gives you a good fortified zone where you can easily push back against the zombies.
But not ur mom
@@Dougretseverything ok
I think they really need to disable the zombies being able to donate to each other. It’s this combined with nooby teammates that really make the huge ones early on and really prevents even good players being able to claw back a victory.
I think it actually makes many lobbies mathematically impossible to win.
I was skipping your latest vids until this new mode came along, now I'm really interested in seeing if you can pull off at least 1 win!
Even though so far it's been losses so far, I'm anticipating the win. Meanwhile the struggle is making these the most interesting to watch matches so far.
The hell IS this game in the first place
RUclips, where the hell am I?
I think if people are going to get rolled they need to surrender and give their land to their neighbours, ATM they quietly go down and make the zombies huge
Maybe I'm a masochist but I really enjoy watching this mode. There is as much value in learning what not to do than what to do...and there are A LOT of examples of what not to do in zombie mode.
Some good comments with strats
Thanks for showing me a new game to play. I'm addicted to it now. But I hate this mode.
The first time I played this, I expanded a lot and died.
Second time, I expanded a lot too, but ended up surviving and I took out like half the map.
21:46 he just ignor his teamet and then he say "bad teamets" HE is BAD teamet
I've noticed that in the time you wait to reach red interest the zombie zones close the gap in troops there was and then steamroll everyone around them
maybe try to weaken them more before you wait for interest??
yes, waiting only makes them stronger, they are going to feed each other so taking out weak ones to get their land and close yourself off from as many zombie territories as possible (pushing them out of say, the corner of the island you're on) seems super important
I feel like I do better in zombie mode than any other modes, and that tells you how much I suck at territorial io
At 16.32 Border patrol sent you all his rss as he died. Respect
Best strategy attack the infected areas asap at beginning of match
I just see a luck based game that is either stacked against the players or people are still learning
I don't know if u will read this but maybe a discord for the commity and u can be the leader of it get everyone to spawn on one side of the map it will be cool asf if someone can get a win in this game mode it it will be cool to do sum with the CG community too anyway have a great day and 100k coming soon !!!
It’s going to be so satisfying when you win
Came to watch a cool game, witnessed nothing but slander 😂😂😂
never looked at this game before but this was a super fun interesting to watch, 10/10 would recommend
I just won a zombie match after watching this. There are actual competent players CG!!!! (Or at least where I live)
I did play two matches just now. and folks were donating, it was great :)
The only time I have ever won a zombie game was when I got locked onto islands, all my allies died, and the bots that appear if you don't have enough players won for me
THE BOTS ARE BETTER THAN THE PLAYERS
CG i think the different types of zones have different multipliers for troop growth aswell as different AI's
The fact that he can make the perfect title every video
I've tried to play this mode by like having a few of us spawn close to each other, but people keep spawning spread out like it's a bot brawl and they can just 1v100 them.
The problem with this mode is that this game is impossible to win in a normal mode. For example you could be doing well but the people around you can easily give someone elsethe advantage over you which all in all translates horribly to this mode cuz basically you have to learn not to expand. Speaking of which the learning curve in this game is a nightmare in general.
Is it? I find this mode VERY easy.
Just don't stop taking ground. It's basically a race to see who can kill the zombies fastest.
@@thekwoka4707 yea after playing a bit it's best to take on the big guys I think and get vlose to teammates if possible.
I think the key is to be the Crown (and know to play), like if you become the Crown all the players are gonna help you with lots of troupes. I just won a game like this, and yes you need to have good teammates. Even an 1v3 is possible as the crown against the big guys (in my case). Btw I love your videos
when tf did this game become this complicated
I can relate to teammates being bad.
I recomend using 100% of your troops in the first minute as you can expand more rapidly before your enemies block you off
'' Ahhh GG the big boy has touched us'' Hell yeah
you don’t work with the player’s interest. king kong benefits from taking out the guy that’s close to you, so weaken it enough for king kong to attack it. on the island that you spawned on take out the weaker of the three since you will still have more troops than the other two. regain troops and attack the next of the two remaining. just my opinion tho
Stadegy idea: Maybe play in the Italian peninsula or Spain because you get two enemies to fight.
I’ve played zombie mode and basically the zombie Ai makes the zombies that can’t attack give troops to the zombies that can attack that’s why your gonna want to take out as many zombies as you can before the map is filled with no free space left
“Wow this defensive perimeter of weak enemy zones sure is protecting me well from the strongest zombie on the field, I sure hope it will continue doing that”
My “teammate”, about to spend all his troops to destroy all the weak zones around me: 😎
Slowly loses his insanity throughout the video
Well... at least I die in knowing that my german kamerads will hold off the zombies pretty darn well
Seems like anyone who is walled off by allies becomes a troop battery for those who is border to the AI
I find crunching the small ones early to get a strong foothold, then maintain the line or focus 1 big one down, defo team effort
I have never seen a zombie mode on Europe it was more in the Swamp for me
My favorite part was when Try King played
I won once. In our game it was mountain and islands. We were able to narrow the attack to just few at the same time.
I have never heard of this, and yet looking at it- it already looks like you would definitely need some experience just to not die once-
the losing streak is even more enjoyable to watch
I dont play the game much but heres my strat
Knock out the donating support base for those giants. If the interest is factoring in, the smaller ones are donating and making it all back much faster then the bigger ones are building up. Low troops = attack.
amazing as always
Also i like how u add in losses and wins
You mean losses and losses
@@rafaeljordao1907 nah i mean i like seeing the alternative rounds other than him winning
after watching your videos I was like this game is easy, nope I can't even beat the normal mode
I just won a zombie match starting in fiji. I guess they don't give troops if there is a weak player.
It's satisfying seeing the areas get consumed ngl
I think they should make it so the zombies aren't that hard for the bad players and once they get better they can go to harder level
Best tactics is to have at least at possible zombies at border
Best strategy just name yourself Grass works every time.
Your video's are amazing!👍
CG Plays in this video: “git gud”.
I find zombie to be pretty easy.
Just expand a bit on your own, and then focus on just once you touch a zombie zone take it and don't do much expanding into the empty board.
Then it becomes about if you can click fast enough to keep expanding into each zombie zone you touch as quickly as possible
Bro that Baltic states guy was begging for help 😭
You also must try to not touch the ocean so no zombie can boat into you
ok wings of redemption
The only way to get the big bots before they get massive is to get them at the very begging you can tell if they are big when they expand faster than others
"Zombie Toucher" Bro💀💀💀💀💀💀
